- In this video I attempt to show how to livestream an iPad screen onto RUclips. I’ve tried to make this tutorial as detailed as possible, using both the screen recording app as well as Streamlabs, available on the App Store.
I show how I use this to livestream my classes to my students.

Oh thank god! Everyone told me to get streamlabs so I can stream and record my screen while I draw in procreate. The problem was nobody told me how to set it up! But you gave me exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!

This is my first RUclips comment in 5 years - but this video was really helpful. Btw, to reduce lag I recommend creating the event on RUclips beforehand and set the lag to ultralow. That reduces the lag from 20 seconds to 3 seconds.

Super helpful!!!!! I was so disappointed when I found out that I could only stream on a computer. But then I found Streamlabs! After finding it though I couldn’t figure it out. And I was about to delete it, until I thought “why don’t I check it out on RUclips?” So I did, and now I get it completely!

You should be able to end the livestream by going back to the app and pressing on the « go live » button again and you’ll see the option. Hope that helps 😊 take care ✌️

I've tried one livestream so far where I recorded myself writing on a whiteboard on my wall. However I'd also like to utilise my iPad screen and notability like you.
One quick question if you don't mind. How do you schedule your livestream via the app rather than go live there and then? I'm assuming that's possible? I'd like to give my students notice of the lesson and obviously share the link in advance so they can prep for it.
I was going to ask about the visible face in separate window but I see you've already answered that below.

Ok so I just attempted to Schedule a Live Stream.
It worked just fine. The TRICK is to create it directly on RUclips first:
I did that on my laptop, I went ahead and started a live video on RUclips.com, it then gives you the option to schedule your livestream (again that is on RUclips from my laptop).
Once I was happy with the title, the date and time I scheduled... I then went to my iPad and via the app rather than "creating an event" I was able to find the scheduled session under "Upcoming Event".
I launched everything else in the same way as usual and it worked well :)

Radford Mathematics Hi! Thanks for getting back to me, I’ll definitely give it a go (I may get stuck and get back to you if that’s ok?) I really like how you are incorporating pdfs via notability and sharing onto your YT video. If I can crack how to do that, I’m almost operating as I would in the Chemistry lab at college! I’ve done a handful of live stream videos now and have really enjoyed them. Both unlisted (then public) for my students and public for anyone. It’s really important that we try our best for the students at the moment. I think they really appreciate it and do like the ‘face time’ interaction from seeing me physically writing on my whiteboard in the spare bedroom. Not sure when I’ll get the iPad sorted but will let you know how I get on. Thanks again and take care! 👍

Wow, great tutorial. Is there a way to quickly switch from screen recording to camera (or external cam connected to the iPhone/iPad), and back to screen recording? For example if you want your students to see your face when you're not writing stuff on the iPad.

I think you need 1000 subs to stream.
You need 1K subs to stream. I have 3K subs on my alt tho and I want to do it on my alt lol-
you have to verify your phone number to do live streams, and also videos longer than 10 mins.

So what I did was I just set the thing to Streamlabs and started screen recording. What happened after was it told me to go to “RUclips.com/features” and had to turn on live streaming. So i went to the website and turned it on. It said it takes 24 hours for it to turn on the live streaming thingy so I am currently waiting. Still wondering if it works because I need to freaking stream me playing a game ASAP so yeah. Hope it works!
