I’ve added some markers for the different sections so it’s easier to get to the content you’re looking for! Hope this video helped you feel more confident with starting to stream art! Good luck :)
Sashaaaa, this was such a nice and informational video!! I know your art streams inspire many and I hope other artists can learn from your trial and error ^-^ The art community is so kind.
@@Syertse I got a quick question I know this video was probably very old but I stumbled across it and I thought I'd ask when it comes to Digital arts streaming how do you capture the program that you're trying to stream on like I use SketchBook How do I capture me drawing on that app and put it on the stream like I'm still trying to figure this out
The ring light seems pretty cool from an aesthetic standpoint. The warm hues really draws me in (no pun) and makes it more inviting I feel. Good vid, Sash :3
Thank you for the tips! i just start it to stream 2 weeks ago and totally agree on the part of planning ahead your art or sketches if you are not super confortable
yay just in time i've been thinking on giving art streams a try this year. So i can branch out from just old school gaming. Thanks so much for the tips syertse.
Just saw your video today. I'm new on twitch Sence last year still working on it I'm very low on follower. I've been on youtube way longer back when I am as in 10 grade now I'm 29. I'm born with a disabilty condition called microcephaly struggle academically. I've self taught myself to draw and paint expressionism art on my own Sence I was a infant Sence the 90s. Not sure there robots but my followers are 79 on my youtube more on twitch still struggling to get recognition. I don't talk on live stream I just paint I'm too shy and I have issues with my voice cause what I'm born with and I get picked on a lot Sence growing up so its part of my huge anxiety. I just signed up on streamyards / evmux the free plan to have videos like all of you and its time. I am looking for a tripod for my phone even if its auto face tracking to stream while standing like if my canvas is on a easel like if its 20x30 or sitting or sitting usining any size canvas or paper on a art table. I don't know what tripod to get that's not $70 that works even if its portable travel like go to a park or beach or go out of town like flying to Canada. I am still learning to stream. My space always small. What is your advice? 4:26
dont rly have time to stream or post or draw which sucks.. but would love to leave my job for this! but art doesn't get views sadly, how would I get exposure and a community? do I have to draw specific things? can I also stream gaming as well as art?
Hii Syertse! thank you for making this video, super helpful! I've watched a couple of your streams on twitch and you've really inspired me to start art streams. I haven't started yet since I have a bit of a problem, I use Procreate on my iPad and not sure how to go on from there. I was wondering if you knew any way to have the iPad screen onto OBS Streamlabs? ^^
Hi there! I'm happy to hear you found the video helpful! If you use an iPad, the best bet would be to use a mirroring app so that you can display your ipad screen to your PC screen! That way you can have OBS capture the monitor that's mirroring your iPad. Hope that makes sense! Good luck!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! This was extremely helpful. Thank you so much . I’m an artist who plans on making art streams on Twitch for realistic & animated art & I recently bought my webcam & tripod for my laptop. I heard many positive things about OBS from my Twitch Friends . Also too you kinda remind me of Jennifer Lawrence aka Mystique from the X-Men movies 🤟🏾🙏🏾✍🏾 🖍 🤗💙
If you dont want to talk, theres always just the option of having your mic off, or not adding one if you dont have one ^^ Then if you want to talk to people in chat, youll have to type to them instead but its definitely an option if you're not feeling up to speaking!
Yeah i think mic off a fine way to start but eventually you will have to talk probably which you can! If you're shy(I'm too btw) that's after some practice and stuff i think you can get over it "if you wanna that is".. just don't develop anxiety issues like me oof
Thank you so much for this video! I am hoping to get into streaming with my best friend, I just need to now figure out how to add my iPad to OBS on a Windows Desktop as well as my webcam, apparently I heard I need a specific cable? 😅 it's all confusing haha but thank you, you've made me feel a lot more comfortable with going ahead with streaming my art ✨
I'm so happy to hear this video helped you! Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with connecting an Ipad since i never use it for stream, but you could try searching the question on Reddit haha Sometimes I find answers for very niche questions there. Wishing you the best of luck with your streaming journey! :D
Thanks for the info! How do you play music in your streams and recorded videos? I mean both the software and also, what music are you allowed to use? I've heard a lot of folks get their videos taken over by music companies that own the rights to music that gets played (even if they are just listening to it while they work, I think). I have no idea if this is worth making another short video about or just replying to my comments. Cheers from Aus.
In OBS you can make it so you stream the audio that's coming through your computer! Just add your Desktop Audio to your sources :) As for what kind of music, there's many DMCA free playlists on RUclips you can listen to that are safe to stream :) Hope that helps! Good luck!
All really helpful! I've gotten used to streaming a lot faster than I thought I would, but it's helpful to get reminders until I'm really satisfied. :)
If you're doing traditional art it's more important to have a decent webcam and good lighting so that viewers can see the details in your art! Id also recommend skimming through the art section on Twitch and finding traditional artists who have setups you like! Often times they'll have what camera/lighting setup stuff they use in their about section too! :) Good luck!
@Syertse Thank you so much!! I've been debating on streaming my sketches for a while. I'm wanting to build a portfolio, but also show my expressionism.
my problem Is, when i EXTEND the monitors ONLY the mouse works on both, but not the pen (and not Only on clip studio, It Simply don't works); and when i use the tablet as the primary and only monitor It works ..do you have any suggestion? also, if i go for tablet PC in preferences when i use the pen it moves the mouse on desktop...but if i MIRROR the monitors both mouse and pen work..please HELP
Hi there, unfortunately your problem is too specific for me to help. I'm not a computer specialist, just a creator making videos on the internet. I suggest you search online about your issue and see if anyone else has a solution thats posted.
Thanks so much for the video, I remember watching it the year it came out and I’m back watching it, as I get closer and closer to streaming I just wanted to say thank you ❤
It of-course depends on your device, but it can overwhelm your laptop and make it become unresponsive especially if you try to do high intensive things in your art program. Either that or your stream can get very laggy and look more like a slideshow lol There’s settings you can change to try to optimize it for your laptop though, lowering the quality of the stream can lessen the load on your device :)
This was such a helpful video. Your tone is also very relaxing and calm, so I could listen to you for hours. As someone who wants to start live streaming my art, this has helped a bunch ❤
Are you Russian? Ukrainian? Your name is Sasha... the name of your channel is "heart" in Russian. You also have an accent. Just found your channel, thank you for all the useful info and tips!
@@Syertse Yay! Me too! I moved to the U.S. from Odessa oblast. Your art is awesome! I just watched your video on your "Fall" inspired illustrations. Thank you for the great videos! Poka!
Hi there! You technically can stream spotify music, but streaming copyrighted music may get your VOD (video after stream ends) muted or in the worst case scenario, you make get a strike on your account. I would avoid playing the top hit music as this is the most dangerous, and if you want to be totally safe, you can search up copyright free playlists to play when you're live. Hope that helps!
I believe you should be able to stream directly from your Ipad if you have the twitch app, although you'll have to sacrifice things like alerts/overlays and possibly sound quality as well. If you try to stream from your ipad make sure that you're broadcasting your ipad screen and not through your camera, and be sure to not pull up anything that might have private information. Good luck!
@@Syertse do you think there is a way you can explain step by step on what to do? With me I kinda have a problem where I need things spelled out for me clearly or I won't be able to understand

Because when i use the tablet it becomes the monitor..so i dont know how to draw on the tablet and at the same time using the pc monitor for the streaming software Thanks, and sorry for my bad english
Hi there, the tablet is one monitor where you are drawing on, and your regular computer monitor is where you have your chat, OBS and other software up. Make sure that both the monitor and the tablet are working as separate monitors in your computer settings. Hope that helps! Good luck!
@@Syertse thanks a lot, you are very kind🙂 now i have figure It out; last thing, can i switch from mouse to pen anytime i want? Or there some kind of problems?
such a helpful video! although i do have a question. I want to buy myself a tablet with a screen. how do i stream that? can i open up what im drawing in the monitor as well, how does that work? thank you
Hi Leana! When you connect a tablet with a screen to a PC the computer will treat it as both a tablet and a second monitor, so when you use OBS and add a "Display Capture" source you'll be able to select you tablet screen to broadcast! Hope that makes sense! Good luck :)
Hey :) I Wonder how you did your „starting soon“ screen with the font and the animation? There’s a lot stuff like this I don‘t know how to design by myself. An answer would be super nice of you, thank you 😊
Hi there! There's a few ways to do it, for me I created a GIF with a transparent background in photoshop and added it to my scene, another (possibly better way) is to create a short video with a transparent background and add it to your scene (make sure that the playback is looped) Hope that helps! Good luck :)
