Guys please be aware I live in New Zealand and in my area we havent had any covid cases for many months and its been back to normal for us for a very long time since the virus didnt get big here in the first place. Not every country is like America.
This is why I said I wanted to move out of the country. 🤭

hearing the cockatiel sounds breaks my heart a little, as i just lost mine to old age.
Seeing other people’s birds let people pet them makes me happy because my bird doesn’t let anyone pet him, but then again I’ve only had him for about a month or two lol.
aww thats sad.. but dont rush it. make sure its comfortable with you before you try to do something

I took a young female cockatiel with me me to the video rentalstore once during winter 10 years ago. Hid in my hoodie, but she did get scared when she saw a car passing by and flew out. I grabbed her and put her back in the hoodie where she kept peeking out especially in the video store until we got home.

my tiel would just sit on my shoulder and wouldn’t fly, i took her into walmart (i had to, she went to the vet and it was too hot to leave her in the car) and she just sat on my hand and had no problem which is amazing

So I grew up having 4 cockatiels. I actually recently saw a video with all three of your cockatiels and it got me wondering. I was too young to remember what three of them looked like. I showed my mom the part of the video where it showed all three of yours. My mom said we had three cockatiels that looked exactly like the ones you have. The one I do remember is all yellow and has a bald spot just beneath the comb (or whatever it’s called). I love cockatiels so much and I enjoy watching them in the background of some of your videos. I learn a new thing from every video I watch from you. I’m glad my family did everything right when it came to taking care of animals.
Do I care that I have school at 8:30 A.M.? No. Am I going to watch this video? Yes.

I have the same type of harness for my birds. I have 3 harness trained, 2 'tiels and a Bourke. I have 5 Bourke's, 2 'tiels, and an Indian Ringneck in total.

@@echocloud1339 I love them too. I think they are the best and most underrated parrots. That's why I have 5 of them. Since my last comment I have harness trained 3 more. I take a pair to market with me every Sunday and rotate them through. It gets them out of the house and is great socialization for them. Kids like them especially.

Yuki looks exactly like my male cockatiel but acts very different. My cockatiel does love being on hands and having pats but he hates being touched sometimes and is very moody and grumpy a lot ;-;

I mean, how do you deal with s...t he will take on your shoulder. I think. It would not bother me just a little poo. But in shopping centre you could get this crazy people looking for problem and pinn you down for bacteria etc. What would you approach be?
Well this was a pet night at the mall, so there were also dogs around too, so I don’t think anyone was worried about a little bit of a bird poop when there’s also dogs with big poops around, but I kept wipes on me anyway in case he did poop anywhere
I was going to nearaby store with hamster on shoulder. It was 2 years ago 😊 he kept looking cute and held on.
