Aaron needs to put a collar camera on Russell so we can see what he sees when he walks through dense plantings like the Hyssop in the south garden. I think that would be a fun perspective, Honey I Shrunk the Cat 😅 Everything is coming along so beautifully and quickly!
Do you know what I just realized from watching Aaron's stunning drone footage? That round, formal hedge in the back garden that you're stressing about whether or not to remove just FITS! Looking at it from above, it balances out the rest of the property. Like, it gives weight to that side and balances out the house. I don't know - call me crazy, but I think it really does serve it's purpose.
Agree! I almost commented on that at last tour but knowing the stress this is causing I thought it's not the view that anyone sees, unfortunately! So it's a moot point, really. 🤷♀️
I think if they just took out the shrubs separating that section from the driveway it would help it feel more connected and not so claustrophobic in there.
This felt like when I visit my 87 yr old dad in central Indiana. He always looks forward to showing me all of his half acre gardens plus fruit and nut trees. He is on property in our family since the 1830s
@Connie Thingstad ~ what a rare and special instance, that your Dad is on property owned by your family since the 1830's!!!! Hopefully, it will stay in your family's hands for MANY MANY more centuries!!!!🤗🥰
Laura, this property is no longer just a place where you live....it's an estate! What you and Aaron have created is just stunning. I can only imagine how amazing it is going to be when it grows up. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Garden Answer is an inspiration to all who tune in.
Laura and Aaron, watching your journey over the last several years has been inspirational. Transforming your beautiful home into such an amazing space in such a short time is certainly no small feet. I can't wait to see where it goes in the next several. Cheers!
Laura have u considered adding some slipping mounds /gentle "burms" to the larger mulch areas that dont have plants yet in the area in the video behind u where I are talking about the cat behaving near the cat mint plants . This would add a different texture. I dont mean any thing high. More a rolling feel. Does that make sense?
Oh my goodness! Laura, I could just envision you sitting at your beautiful piano playing the background music for the final drone footage. The combination of the piano and the drone footage of your gardens was the most relaxing part of my day. I absolutely loved how the kids little secret garden looks like a smiley face from overhead. How perfect is that. The contrast between last year and this year is absolutely stunning. You have done a tremendous amount of work. Such a good illustration of what hard work and a vision coming together looks like.
Before Laura said anything I was admiring the grass. Great job Aaron and I love the drone shots. Everything looks so lush and beautiful. I love the mulch in the walkways of the cut flower garden.
Love the drone video at the end- its great to see a different perspective of the entire garden. And, no surprise- it looks good from all angles. It's great that both Laura and Aaron bring different skills to the channel that make it so great to watch. Congratulations on building such a beautiful outdoor space and continued good luck! 🏡
When you first bought the property I struggled to figure out the layout. It was a bit like solving a puzzle. “Now lemme see, this goes here and that goes there….” The drone footage is marvelous! And also loved the music for this one! I may have played that last part over more than once just to listen to it again. Lol.
@@sEaSoNaLMiLk yea but sad that the daylilies are extremely toxic to cats, I thought she knew before planting them, they just have to rub up against them.... look it up, I checked out the tag when she was planting them!!
Love the drone shots, especially the higher ones, showing the whole property, really gives me a better perspective of where each garden is,great job. Love these videos, thanks
The transformation of that space is just incredible. The whole South garden is just amazing. Once you have all the grass paths done it is going to really tie it all together. Just incredible.
Bravo to Benny, Paul and his sister! There so much work to make things look perfect and clean. Its one thing to have a plan its another to execute, Phenomenal Job!
Happy that they don't have to do everything all by themselves, sometimes i plan to spend a hour in the Garden ,and end up spending three its hard work, but I rest in between am no Spring chicken
So beautiful! Truly picture perfect. The long drone shot at the end was exactly what I was waiting for. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing this with all of us.
Every evening after I come home from work, I tend to my small container garden, then settle in and watch your daily videos. They make me happy and give me inspiration and a sense of calm after a long day. ❤ Thank you!
Idk why I cried during the drone footage... I just loved looking at ur videos thru out the years and how beautiful ur garden keeps growing and blooming and so much love goes on into this garden I just want to get lost in ur garden and take long walks with a cup of coffee, teas, or even picnics lol. Can't wait for more updates 🤗 😊🤩everytime
Aaron, thank you so much for the drone footage at the end of this video. It was amazing. The grass is absolutely emerald! Laura, these last two days have inspired gardeners all over the world and given us who do not garden but appreciate seeing such beauty a wonderful treat. Hugs from N.C..❤️
Happy Summer Solstice ! What a treat to enjoy over 2 hours of beautiful inspiration. Thank you Laura, Aaron, and everyone else involved. A spectacular Garden and Home.
Unfortunately daylilies are highly toxic to cats, yes the ones she planted. All the cat has to do is rub up against it and injest by grooming his fur. I thought she knew this from a prior vlog. The cat can die from kidney failure. Very sad. I think as gardeners we need to do a quick research on the plants we plant so they do not hurt our animals. So sad...
God has really given you a great talent for beauty. In your gardens and in your piano and in your children. You have blessed me more than you know. What a beautiful show.
It's so awesome how Laura remembers 99% of the names of the plants in their huge garden! I love it! If I don't leave the tags next to my plants I won't remember them at all weeks later Lol
I'm so glad to see hoe far you guys have come. It feels as if it was only yesterday when you announced you both had bought a new property. Your every day accomplishments are amazing and a true blessing. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey.🌈🌱⚘🌳💕
I love that Laura goes with plants she feels like doing each year! I get excited to see her learning something new; (enveloping herself in the learning and growing things she always wanted to try). I loved the pumpkin section and learned so much and enjoyed the varieties but I am so excited to see the kids garden and the new adventures. I learn so so much from this channel.
Great tour, Laura and Aaron. South garden is really filling in beautifully. It’s such a huge accomplishment in such a short time. The grass is amazing. Kudos to Aaron and Paul. 🥰🦋
Absolutely love the drone footage. Everything is coming together so beautifully and it is going to be just spectacular in a few years when the trees get bigger and shrubs bush out. Benjamin and Samantha will have so much fun playing hide and seek ❤️
Amazing transformation from the dry, dusty field that used to be there!!! Thanks for the beautiful drone footage, Aaron - that really shows how far you guys have come in such a short time.
Thank you so much for this video! If it wasn't Laura playing piano at the end, I still imagined it is! The drone footage was so expertly done that it was just like an amazing movie and made my coffee this morning so special! The gardens are incredible. Thank you again!

I don’t know how you and Aaron find the energy to do all that you do, but I’m sure it has everything to do with your youth and enthusiasm for gardening. Bless you all, always!
It's looking so gorgeous! Us gardeners have the ability to see a garden's potential and, wow, you can "see" how beautiful it's going to be! Love the drone footage that gives you that overall view of things.

Thank you fir the Garden Tour today -it is so relaxing 😌 I enjoy the Beauty so much and your Kitty popping in following you around is extra special too 🫠🌻🤗🫠🙏♥️♥️
Whitewashing the cut flower shed interior walls will give the wood effect, lighten it up and reduce that orange color. It’s turning out great Laura and Aaron!
The dark variety tomatoes 🍅 are amazing! You have got me going I’m going to try some next year. Laura you and Aaron have a passion for the project and I’m captivated by your enthusiasm 🥰
Shout out to Ken for the music as a backdrop to the sweeping drone footage at the end. The clip of the edible garden with the black picket fence was so beautiful and with that music, brought me to tears.
Amazing how quickly everything has come along from last year's start, and just how much you have gotten planted! Have you thought about planting something like a cedar of Lebanon and some walnuts, chestnuts etc? They take a while to mature of course, but are some of the most beautiful trees I think and would really add to the 'English park' feel of your central lawn. No English country house estate is complete without a cedar of Lebanon! Cannot wait to see what'll have grown and changed come June 2023! Thank you for sharing! You're an inspiring team!
Laura and Aaron, Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank you for sharing your journey and space with us. Long time viewer, and could go on and on about the inspiration Laura has been to my green thumb, and what a joy it is to start my day each morning with you guys. To see the south lawn and garden come together is absolutely amazing. Aaron, the drone footage almost brought tears. What an incredible space. Thank you for sharing day after day!!! ~Andrew
Laura …let’s face it …your garden is NOT your average garden …it’s amazing!!!!! What you have done to this property is more then your average bear .It wears me out just touring the grounds ….I really do appreciate all you have and are doing …it’s only going to get better 🥰🥰
I absolutely loved the drone footage! My favorite part of this video!! Should do more often, please. It truly helps me figure out where things are located from the house. I spotted things in this footage and thought, oh I had a completely different vision of its location. All the small projects going on, you know there is quite a bit of space. But I just thought the drone showed how massive the space actually is. It was absolutely gorgeous and stunning to watch!! Thank you again for that drone footage! I am a visual person.
Hi guys,I have been watching your chanel for the past 3+ years or so and the only reason I chip in today is to say that I truly believe you two make a great team , efficient with appealing sense of style , great skills gardening wise and thenical as well. GOD speed, wishing from afar, all the best and nothing but the best
Hat’s off to PAUL & BETHANY for all of their hard work and tender care! We’re so grateful to have such gorgeous gardens to look at. The drone shots certainly give perspective - especially the before and current views. One of my favorites in the garden is the “Rambling Russle” 😄🐾🐾
oh wow Aaron thank you for that beautiful drone footage at the end that was so peaceful and serene. It also gave a very intimate view of the south garden that felt very fluid and helped me understand the layout of your property even better. thanks you guys for the contstant flow of inspiration!
I really enjoyed the tour. Loved seeing all the plants and trees settled into their home. It is amazing to see the progress you have made. I love the drone footage, it is magical. Laura, I know you have worked hard in this space because we get to see you on video, but you are so kind reminding us of your hard working team that helps keep everything going. You are blessed. Thank you for sharing a little of your life with us.
Love everything as always. Just a suggested option for the shed: if you want to keep some of the wood look in the interior; My mother-in-law had a log cabin and she did a sort of white wash in her bedroom that looked amazing. It looked like a whimsical fairy tale room in which you could see the wood grain through the white wash paint. I know whatever you do will look great!
Russell disappearing into a hyssop plant at 46:59 reminded me of my cat Smokey. He would lay in wait in daylilies and spring out at me when I walked by in a mock attack. 😁🐈Beautiful drone shots at the end to see year 2 in the south garden.
What if you did a white wash or white stain on interior walls of the garden shed? It would correct the orange color, but keep the interest of the wood grain. Love your show!
The natural wood in the shed is gorgeous and contrasts beautifully with the cabinets and other furniture, as well as it will mirror the natural surroundings of the garden and flowers.
Your photography is absolutely fabulous. Your presentation of video is unlike any other. Great job to your husband 👏 👍. Your gardening experience is so appreciated from everyone. Thanks from Southern Iowa.
Great tours Laura, how you remember all of the names of the trees, shrubs and flowers totally boggles my mind! Your enthusiasm over the new garden is such a joy to watch!🌿
You should do one video of just drone footage going around, in and out, of the entire gardens, house, Hartley, trees and all, Aaron. That ending, and music, was perfection!! ~Kelly
Love the drone footage at the end. You truly are making a perfect place for your family to enjoy. Encouraging and motivating for me to create a beautiful place for my family as well. Thank you for sharing!

I have a feeling we'd see a lot of Laura's ankles if Russell was filming.
@Donna Walker ~ what a fabulous idea!!!! There could possibly be a downside to that, though; the close up view of Russell "bathing" himself...😮😕😖
Yes! Call it Russell’s Roamings!
Love the idea. “Bathing” could be edited out.

Yes leave the walls in the shed natural for now. I imagine a lot of soil is going to travel thru that shed.
Yes,yes,yes!
Love the drone footage and music!! Perfect compliment to my morning coffee. Thank you Laura and Aaron!
Love seeing the weeping willows blowing in the wind in those aerial shots at the end.
Thank you, Paul and Bethany for doing such an amazing job!!!
Love the tour!
The drone footage at the end- just fills my soul ……
What if you did a white wash or white stain on interior walls of the garden shed? It would correct the orange color, but keep the interest of the wood grain. Love your show!
Laura and Aaron thank you so much for sharing your gift not only to me but to the rest of your community. You have such a beautiful family.
The natural wood in the shed is gorgeous and contrasts beautifully with the cabinets and other furniture, as well as it will mirror the natural surroundings of the garden and flowers.
What if you put up a big white square background on the south wall? Would that eliminate the problem of the yellow tone in videos?
