If I saw any other hour-long video, I'd think, "I don't have time for that!" But an hour-long Garden Answer video leaves me wanting more! Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into sharing your garden with everyone!
So true!! I could watch an even longer video of theirs!! lol
Haha! Same!
I would watch a 2 hour video and wished it was 3 hours long.
Woke up to this beautiful garden your at 7 AM and was digging in my own garden by 8:30 AM. A neighbor dropped off some pink ginger flowers. Feeling relaxed and happy.
Thank you Garden Answer.
Theres a part 2.
I love watching it
You know Laura, there are so many people displaying their gardens on RUclips, but none as sweet as you, the clarity of your voice ,your attitude towards your garden and a lovely family bonding has made you a celebrity. You are the best. May you be blessed 💕
I so agree with your comment, I watch quite a few gardeners on RUclips but Garden Answer is one of my very favorite ones. I learn so much with each and every video I watch, Laura is that very sweet friend that we all love, the kind of friend who’s so easy to be around and talk to; I love all the videos and actually I think of the time I spend watching any of them as a time to distress and relax, such a treat!
I agree. All these years that I've been watching Laura, I always come back to watch your videos. I even rewatch videos from your old house because I enjoy them so much as well..
I agree. I found a great small garden center just up the road from my house. I was talking with one of the owners about this gal I watch on RUclips who has a huge garden, grows a ton of stuff, & how I’ve learned so much from her. She goes, “Oh, that’s Laura from Garden Answer, right?” We had an instant connection. She said they’re always saying, “What would Laura do.” We both agreed that one of the things we love about this channel is that there’s no drama, not ever. In this day & climate, that’s hard to do. I just appreciate that when Laura or Aaron express an idea or discuss a topic, it’s related to gardening, their darling kids, or their families. The cats? Well, I guess I’m neutral. I’m not really an animal lover in general, & I’m certainly not a cat lover but they do seem nice. 🐈
Agreed, such a lovely person and to give so much of yourself to explain everything. So happy I found you on RUclips. God bless you and your family.
Laura is the cutest
Yesss! Garden tour! 🌸🌼🌞 Y’all get your coffee and buckle up! Dream garden incoming!
Good morning I agree I’m going to grab my coffee and sit on the porch and wait for everybody else to wake up while I watch my garden answer!
Your comment just made my morning! 👏👏👏
1st thing I did was hit pulse to grab a 2nd morning coffee, we have been waiting on a garden tour, and a Sunday videos Lucky us!
Yes Yes and Yes ☕ ☺️ im so thankfull Laura shares 😊
Pshhhh, coffee.... I managed to go through cooking dinner, folding laundry AND snacking on some fruit while dreaming along with you and your coffee 😀 LOVE all of it, including the potential....
I love seeing how much those ginger kitties love you, especially Russell. They know a good human when they see one.💚
😻
They are causing a lot of environmental problems. They are cute but need to be indoors.
@@jabmalassie give me a break lol
What a gift!! Sunday tour?!? Love the longer videos, I just want to spend the day looking at EVERYTHING! Happy gardening to all! 🍀🌷🍄🪺🪷🌞🌻🌼
This is a perfect morning for me to watch. We are having a cool spring rain. Coffee, Laura, and GA friends perfect.
On my birthday she puts out this special video how great is that
Super...
Happy Birthday!!!! 😊
@@annapoole132 Thank you!!!!!😁🌸 🌼 🌻 🌞 🐣
I love that Cheddar is always a tour guest. Must be even more magical to roam the gardens at cat level.
Laura “Should I go plant by plant?”
All of us “YES!!”
😆 YES!!!
@@tulle7358 YES
Loved this tour! In the next one could Aaron do a slow drone shot over all the property including around the house? So much has changed it would be nice to see where everything is in relation to how it was. Thanks for all you guys do. Still loving your videos after all these years. I have learned so much from you guys.
😊😅😅
😊😊
This will be the perfect sunday oh my God! Enjoying the sun with a cup of cold brew and a whole hour of Garden Answer! Life is good! 😍😭
Same here! Coffee & garden tour-you can't beat that!
i can tell her kitty loves her, he follows her every step and never wanders off
Nothing better than starting a Sunday with tea, sunshine, and a Garden Answer tour! ❤ loved seeing Russell embracing his jungle kitty vibes again and Cheddar attacking a bush! Oh my haha!
Yes, I love seeing the cats. So many cool areas to explore and to lay in to cool off.
Agreed! Its my birthday and Laura put out another great video today life is good
Super...
@@SunshineCountryChickens Happy birthday!
@@saltycat662 Thank you so much! Its great to be alive!
I love when Aaron zooms in to show the buds, blooms, new growth, or other details. Gorgeous garden guys!
And zooming in means smoothly walking the camera closer, not using the zoom feature on the camera itself like an amateur!
I could spend a week here just relaxing and touring each area. Laura and Aaron thank you so much for the tour. 😍
Month
I'm so happy for a long Garden tour they can never be too long. And also it was so nice to see Cheddar hanging out throughout the video. He seems to have been feeling more social lately!
I was anticipating "No Garden Answer" this morning as you said recap would be hit or miss - but wow - A full Garden Tour! Yay!!! Thanks for this♥
Yes, do a plant by plant tour !
It's the once occasion where we have the possibility of knowing in one time all at once what all the plants are and how they go together. Garden tours are always super useful and pretty, thank you !
An hour long tour? Yes, I love it!🥰
Laura when I tour your gardens with you I think of what Paradise must be like. You've created a touch of it for sure.
So excited to see this video lasted a whole hour, it’s my bedtime ritual ,( I’m in Sydney, Australia and watch you guys every night at 9pm)
Laura and Aaron, You give us all inspiration with your beautiful garden and it always brings a smile to my face when Russell and Cheddar are just cruisin’ around. Can’t wait for Part 2 .
Just put Laura on hold and made myself a hot milky drink and settled down in bed. I’m in Queensland and enjoy the same bedtime ritual as Cindy.
Russell and Cheddar were around the whole video! 🐱🐈😹
Super...
I'm in South Australia and I go to bed at twilight and so when I get up at morning twilight, make the bed, feed the cats, make a cuppa and sit down to watch these wonderful videos x 🌼🙏😇🇦🇺
Oh my gosh me also, I’m in SA and love watching it before bed ❤️
Best tour EVER! Love how you tell all- the good, the bad & the stinky.
Oh to wake up early on a Sunday morning to a garden tour with Laura! What a gift! And it’s PART 1?! Pinch me I must be dreaming! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and garden life with us. We are blessed. 😊🌸🌺
That’s what I came to say! Have a great day! 🌲🌷🌿🌸🌳
So beautiful!!! I think I speak for all that we’ve been eagerly awaiting this tour!! You and Aaron are hands down my favorite garden show of all time. Every video encourages me to just “get out and plant!” But the tours are the high points of all the videos. Thank you for letting us in on your beautiful space. We love you guys!! 💞🌸
I love how the kitties just follow you everywhere!!! Nothing is more enjoyable to watch... beautiful garden and kitties...
OK - I must tell you that I've watched this two times today! LOVED IT! Thank you for taking the time to bring us along - you two are wonderful. Thank you! Found you during Covid and am an avid fan and watch every single day! And learning so much.
Laura, my favorite takeaway from watching this video was your surprise to how the plants are responding to more rain. Much love to you! You guys work so hard and give so much of yourselves to helping others and taking us on this journey. You both are a blessing to us and I am glad you are being blessed with Showers from Above!! This is such a truth to living; the more you give, the more you receive. Thank you for being a good role model in everything that you do! 🦋❤️🌺🌸🌷🌳🌲🤗🌿🌱💦💦💦🌨☔️🌤🥬🥦🧄🎹🎼🏞💚💜❤️
Paint the electrical box a brick color/pattern to blend it in until the boxwoods grow. Exciting to see you so excited for your garden plans evolving! 🙌🏻🐈🪴🌲🌳🌲
Coincidentally, I rewatched the May Garden tour from last year yesterday and I'm so glad I did!!! The new video for today? The first part of this year's May tour ... what a difference!! You and Aaron (and friends!) have accomplished so much!! Absolutely beautiful ... with so much to look forward to!! The first thing I do every morning (I'm retired) is to watch your newest video. Thank you for ALL that you do ... including your adorable little ones, your awesome kitties, your families, Andrews, your community and even your weather, have made Garden Answer my #1 channel. Love, love being able to be a part of it!!! Thank you, thank you!!!!
Thanks for the in progress. You remind me that it IS a process and that everything doesn't always go according to plan. I don't feel so bad about my "I don't know yet" moments, knowing that you guys have those too. Much as I'd like to have it all "done" I am appreciating all that I've learned watching your channel, and realizing it will never be done, and I'll be enjoying this journey for the rest of my life.
Just lovely, Laura…..as usual! Every time I watch your garden tour I go out to my garden and make MORE plans. How fun!
I'd just jump off the cliff and cut the lilacs back to the ground after they're done flowering. The "sucker" growth eventually DOES turn into another lilac bush. I did it with my parent's 70yr old hedge of them and they all looked like a new hedge in a matter of one season. They are remarkably resiliant!
Thank you SO much for everything you do! My family and I have gotten back into gardening after a hurricane due to you and your videos. We can't thank you enough for finding the bright side even when things don't turn out the way you planned, and that that's ok!
Wow that variegated iris just glows in that spot, I didn’t even know what I was looking at at first. Sure does stand out against the darker background!
Thank you for this surprise Sunday garden tour and the length and detail! Can’t wait for part 2!
That lilac is beautiful and so established, I would definitely try and save it.
An hour long Sunday video of a garden tour ?!?!? Laura you are making all of our dreams come true !!! 🤗🤗🤗
Cheddar is so cute, she follows you everywhere because she loves you.
Laura your enthusiasm, your passion and your love for gardening, and nature awakens in my life the encouragement to continue life. It is my prayer that God protects you, your husband, and your two beautiful children. Thank you very much Marta Rodríguez
She is truly gifted!
I couldn’t begin to express how in awe I was of this particular garden tour. It’s amazing to see what rain had done to help with transformations you’ve chosen. (Alabama gets lots of rain along with humidity. )Spectacular! Even the dirt garden beds where decisions have yet to be made. I’m ecstatic for y’all!🤩💚🌲
Everything is so lush and green! I love the structure of the West Side Garden because it is formal, and yet each pocket is something different. So sweet to see Russell and Cheddar coming along for the tour as well! I am getting out in my garden this morning but first, coffee and a Garden Answer tour. Thanks so much for sharing, Laura and Aaron!
The look on your face when you told us about “the step”. 😄 SO FUN! I feel ya, Laura, I feel ya!
Coffee and Garden Tour . Perfect together. Sending love and positive vibes to everyone .
That was so cute that cat thought you were going to get him because the way you were hunched over and moving your arms. I love watching them follow y'all around.
I really miss the mystery of the pallet walkway. It was so nice the way it was surrounded and you couldn't see what was planted ahead. I think your area with the new trees and the boxwood circles Aaron wants to remove could make a wonderful mystery garden. Guest walking from the Hartley could arrive into a mystery garden. Or that mystery garden could be a special place for the children of guest to congregate and play while the adults are talking in and around the Hartley. There could be lawn checkers, a fairy garden and other things for the children to entertain themselves and still be close by the parents. The formality of the Hartley and then the more casual feel of the other gardens mimic life. Sometimes we have to be more formal but the majority of life is casual and relaxed. Stay Safe and Have a Blessed Week.
Great idea
OMG! so much going on at your property. am I the only one that almost cried when I saw the cottage garden by the chicken coop! That was always my absolute favorite area to watch you tour! I hope you recreate the English cottage garden or something similar! Looking forward to seeing it all progress!
As a fellow RUclipsr, I had a chuckle when you stumbled over the name of the David Austin Rose. Goodness, I’m guilty of the same thing and I edit it out. After seeing Laura, I think I’ll leave my stumbles in. Made me chuckle and feel normal. Thanks Laura for the smile!!!!
😂 Leave it!!
Leave in the funnies, makes things more normal and entertaining. 😉
@@callikohl7603 after watching her, I think I will! It’s so encouraging to hear that, so thank you!!! I’m still new at all of this and I didn’t want to look bad, but THIS made me rethink things in a good way. I can’t remember plants at a drop of dime either. I’m guilty. So this was fun and encouraging. I’m grateful they kept it in!! I’m inspired!!!
@@dagirliethemr.2450 thank you!!!!! I think I will!
I've been raiding for cardboard for 2 decades now!! It is a lifestyle!!
A blessed day to all. I can just imagine Laura as a great teacher/ healer. Her use of words like ' late bloomer' while pointing out the beauty of the flowers, finding the best feature in each plant, gently touching the leaves and her words of encouragement, her emotions when a plant did not make it, even the distraction of the cat did not stop her from her outpouring of happiness and love with her flowers and all those majestic trees. I was truly blessed with this video. So Laura and Aaron, God's choicest blessings to you and your family.
At 57:59 towards where Laura is pointing, i can totally see a new pallet walkway starting right across the driveway, meandering throught the garden, up to the triangle garden, disappearing behind trees, shrubs and plants.
Sort of like if there was a crosswalk connecting the 2 spaces (the "chicken coop garden" and the back garden + triangle garden).
I think it would go very well with the feel of those spaces 😄
Also it would be perfect for a secret garden ! Which would be the perfect lush, solid backstop view from and for the very formal Hartley garden.
I was sooo excited to see that we were doing a garden tour!! The garden looks amazing!!! Keep up the great work Laura, Aaron, & The Team!!!
No , keep that beautiful lilac, my favorite. Love your garden, beyond beautiful.
Why do I watch an hour video of garden answer and I actually want more with no boredom what so ever...I love love this
How many people are excited 😊 for this May garden tour. Loving spending an hour this afternoon with Laura. It's seems like a personal stroll with Laura, Cheddar, Russell and Aaron. Thank you!
I just loooove how Russell is following you, in his mind he's giving the tour with you 🤣 Ash trees grow like weeds here. We have to excise seedlings from our massive quince every year! They are very pretty in fall indeed. But not growing through my quince 😁
Or is it Cheddar? Either way,😆 I was thinking the same thing!
@@sueyancey185 oh maybe!
Love the fact that you show the “good the bad and the ugly” keeping it real! So refreshing and real life gardening!
I WAS going to listen to the Highlights recap while working in the garage this morning. But, work came to a HALT when the tour popped up. My work will wait as I enjoy the “fruits of your labor, ” Laura and Aaron!
What's better than a Sunday recap video? A GARDEN TOUR!!! Day made!
What a lovely Sunday morning surprise!
Yes Yes Yes on a Sunday!!! What a treat ❤️😊😘😍🥰🙏🏽👍
These are my all-time favorite videos… Laura‘s garden tours! It’s the coveted gardening video of the year for sure!!
Y’all! I’m so happy for you and your family! Often I’ve hoped that y’all would be able to continue this channel for years to come but wondered if you’d run out of things to do. Well, I believe my wish has come true! The excitement I (and I’m sure everyone else) have for the upcoming projects is REAL! It probably sounds silly but for a viewer that’s been along for the entire ride, I almost feel invested in your garden. I look forward to all the future projects! Your property is just magic! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 💗
100% agree! I am wowed and inspired by all the creativity and labor that goes into these beautiful garden spaces. 🌷
I love the energy you share with us. My mother in law (former gardner) has dementia, we watch and watch and talk about what you do and have accomplished. Thank you for sharing with us.!
As you said, everything is looking so pretty and fresh! Just wondering what ended up being under the circle bed on the brick patio that was removed?
Me too! What was under it?
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and unable to pin point why or how to adjust but just this morning watching this had me smiling and able to breathe. Thank you Laura, your energy for being outside and sharing your joy is intoxicating.
Yes lots going on, but with everything already in the ground and with what is planned, your gardens will rival any garden anywhere. Simply put, breathtaking!
Just bought a home with a very large yard that is pretty bare. I am in desperate need of inspiration to turn it into a beautiful garden. You are God sent!!!!! I cannot thank you enough for this tour. 🙏🙏🙏
Loved the tour! Love the new trees! And of course Russell and Cheddar are hilarious. Can’t wait to see what you do around the Hartley and everywhere else. Amazing ❤️
I love how Russell enjoys gardening with you and participating in the tour!
A wonderful surprise to have a Sunday tour video! When Aaron prunes the arborvitaes, could you film that for us? You guys always explain everything so well! I’m about to bite the bullet and get some arborvitaes, but I want to make sure I know how to care for them properly so they keep a nice shape. Thanks for all you do!
What a great video to start my Monday off with. Who doesn't love walking around looking at Laura's gardens with her and her cats. Bonus is watching the cats in their shenanigans 🤣 🐈🐈
Laura: Gold Coast
Aaron: Coast to Coast?
Me: Wow, the student has now become the master :P
I love these garden tours. It’s nice seeing how well (or not) everything is progressing. It’s so funny when bloopers are left in now and then 🤣. Gives me a good chuckle.
I’m so glad I found you. I need help, recently moved into our forever home. Your knowledge blows me away. Thanks for sharing your passion. 🙏🏼
I've been in my home for over two years and she's inspired me constantly. Glad you're a follower.
I love how those kitties helped through this entire video.
It would be great to do a before and after tour. Where you show before clips and what the garden looks like now. You’ve had sooo many changes sometimes it’s hard to remember the older version without going back to an old video.
WOW, everything is SOOOOO green and lush!!! It's looking absolutely beautiful, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new Blue Spruce in its place. It looks perfect there.
Can't wait to see the year by the end of the season, I know it will be magical.
Yass! I'm so excited to watch this video... and there's two parts... this is a wonderful Sunday!☺
Love Mr. Cheddar! Especially at the beginning he just pops up from the garden. So cute!
Oh my gracious, leaving in the bloopers at 43:25 🤣 gave me such a smile this fine morning. Beautiful garden tour!
Nothing better than waking up and seeing a garden tour. 😍💜🌿 beautiful!!!
Here I am, on a Sunday morning, working on my Anatomy and Physiology final, and you have to go and post a garden tour which instantly distracts me from my schoolwork. The final will be waiting after the garden tour I suppose! Thank you for bringing us along!
Good luck on your final!!
Laura, here's an idea...move the wrought iron arbor centered with the Hartley and use that as an entrance for the "secret garden." Also, put the fountain, that's in the triangle bed, in the "secret garden" centered with the wrought iron arbor.
Now the garden season has officially started!
😁🤣🤣😃
I love that Cheddar doesn’t want to be with you and also doesn’t want to miss anything. He is my favorite thing in your garden.
Enquiring minds HAVE to know!! What was under the round concrete planter?? 💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
Its so adorable that russel is always always in the video. He is so cute!!❤
Oh my goodness! I have my Sunday morning tea, I am snuggled on my couch and hope to have no interruptions for the next hour! Thank you, Laura and Aaron!
Oh lovely garden tour xxx Laura giving a shout out to those being respectful to their property. It’s lovely to hear of such people but I suspect that it’s because Laura and Aaron show such respect to others it’s radiated right back at them and deservedly so. Laura I agree keep the boxwood it’s beautiful xxxLooking forward to part 2. Have a fabulous day everyone xxxxx
Your property is absolutely gorgeous . I know it was tons of work and many many hours but so worth it. You should be so proud of the beautiful space you have created for your family. I love every square inch of it ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Laura! I'm just loving this tour so much. I enjoy seeing the different trees that you have throughout your garden. Would mind sharing suggestions for ornamental trees that are on the smaller side to be used as accents in a flower bed? Thanks in advance! :)
Oh wow! The blue pansies are gorgeous! I love the simplicity of those pots! 💙💚💙
Your cat surely enjoys your company. He follows you everywhere in the garden.
Absolutely gorgeous! I agree with your decision to plant an evergreen in the corner by the barn! I was so entertained by your excitement of the droplets of water on all your plants… a beautiful thing! You and Aron have created a magical walking tour for all to enjoy.🌲
Every time your kitty pops into a video, I have to laugh from the pleasure of it. Your gardens are looking wonderful as always.
Coffee in hand, cozy in recliner, already "liked the post"...I'm ready Laura...let's go! ❤️❤️Hugs from N.C..❤️
1 hour long tour AND a part 2 with another 45 mins 😍😍😍 I’ve been waiting months for this omg 💖
I love it when we get a Garden Tour because we get to see your garden in 4k instead of just HD. You really get to see the plants in more of a true likeness and see the detail of the plants more. It makes me want to get them for my garden even more.
Laura, I agree with you the boxwoods around the fountain nees to stay. What about just removing the outer ones and leaving the inner boxwoods in? A compromise for you and Aaron. Love watching how your garden is changing enjoy watching my daily dose of Garden Answer.
Wow!
Great video. It feels like forever since the last tour.
I so love all your pots, garden beds, trees, lawn everything. I could quite happily watch a plant by plant tour, sitting down with a cupcake and my favourite garden show on RUclips.
Thank you 😊 awesome job guys, well done 👍🌿🌺🏜👏😁🐓🌹🌶🌽🍅🍓👌🌟
Mmmmmm! Now I want a cupcake!
The cats have been especially funny the last couple videos.
Thank you for doing a tour! I love gaining inspiration from these tours, so beautiful! We did the cardboard last year on a 95’ by 30’ curved border. It was such a large space the no dig method to me is way easier and it suppresses weeds. I use this method around trees and smaller areas using that contractor paper. My husband is an electrician, he uses that brown paper to keep people’s floors clean. I thought it’s just like cardboard but a little thinner. It works great, easier to cut and a whole roll covers plenty of space. Your no dig space will be amazing. Love the new trees! So much fun designing around the Hartley. ❤
I have also used this method straight over tough weeds and grass and then laid my veggie beds and it has gone beautifully
I know what happened to your Japanese Maple in the pot. You have really hard water and Japanese maples are sensitive to salt. It probably had a salt buildup that killed it. You can top dress with gypsum to help leach out the salt.
I found that info from watching a Japanese Maple video from Roger's Gardens. We also have hard water here in southern California.
I hope that helps!
