    Based on the last few vlogs, I think Laura has made her mind up about the maple 🍁 tree but doesn’t have the ❤️ to put it out in the universe. I’m with her on just take it out while everything is just dirt and get a size or two smaller. I’ve really embraced the “if it doesn’t make you happy, take it out and replace with what you want” philosophy. Life is too short to be looking at something that doesn’t make your heart sing. Everything looks beautiful Laura & Arron! 🌸🌺🍁🌹🌻🌤💦🪴🌲🌳🐈

      Maples are fast enough, might as well replace it with a 2-3” caliper tree that is much more easy to move and will get going quickly!

    • @conniesanrn2730

      Since the business guarantees it for 1 year she might have to wait until its obviously dead before replacing. I'm sure it wasnt a cheap purchase

    • @gardengirl207
      @gardengirl207 2 года назад +3

      @@conniesanrn2730 this makes sense. But if it’s so altered (broken) from what she believed she purchased, then I would hope they replace it without making her wait.

    • @juliewolfe7558
      @juliewolfe7558 2 года назад +2

      I agree completely. I normally like to give plants a chance to heal up but in this case I'd have it replaced while the area is still under construction and dusty. It's meant to be a showcase tree so even if it heals up the shape will be wonky. Sometimes you just have to pull the bandaid off quickly.

    Oh a one hour garden tour!! Yes!! Today my mom would have turned 85, but sadly passed away (in England) 10 years ago. So today, everything I do is in her memory! I went shopping to her favorite store, Aldi! Then came home and put my feet up with a cup of hot tea and a snickers bar (she LOVED them), and watched your garden tour! She loved to garden, and was very successful with most everything she grew. In her later years, as health declined, it became a frustration. I’ve taken up her love for plants and flowers, learning a lot from you Laura, about growing plants in America and trying to make my garden in Virginia, pretty like yours! Thank you for all you do to make our landscapes pretty, may God continue to bless you for your efforts!

Saved seeds and started buying plants at the end of each month to start replanting this fall. I don't recommend doing it this way, it was heartbreaking!

    I really love your monthly tours cuz you can really see what to plant when where size maturity experiences...it's really helpful. All your videos are. Your varieties colors and placements have completely evolved my taste. Thank you guys for giving so much to all us that love to learn. Your passion connected to your knowledge is what drew me in.

    Those pots! By the front of the house. Oh my goodness. The color selection you choose is so perfect. I adore them. Great job Laura! Once again you shine when many others would wither.

    It’s such a balm to my soul to hear you say, “I don’t know what happened here” when something doesn’t go well! It makes me feel better about myself!
    Question: does your new property go into the trees and brush or does it stop there?

    I'd just like to say: as a MUCH less experienced gardener, I am so happy to hear that someone with as much knowledge and experience as you also sometimes has problems with mites/other bugs! I really thoroughly enjoy seeing all of your different garden spaces and I take lots of inspiration from you! Thank y'all for these videos!🌱🌼🌺🌹

    I am constantly struck by the breath and scope of your gardens. Allows me to approach my garden with enthusiasm, keeping in mind the human level of the work, in comparison to what you do. And, your plant suggestion are golden. Have used your advice on many occasions for plant choice and have almost always been pleased. The bubblegum petunia is a special plant that is a growth phenomenon. Thanks for the advice.

    The rogue watermelon is too funny! It will probably be the best tasting watermelon too. 😄 Also....I need to quit passing up the Russian sage at my garden center! Its so pretty tucked behind the boxwoods. Definitely adding to my landscape next year.

    Red maples grow as natives here in coastal NC. They are usually found along creek beds. So they LOVE wet feet.

    The urns with the vista and regular supertunia - one is wild and the other side is tame and compact. Who else thinks that’s Laura and Aaron respectively? The super passionate and the composed. Apropos :)

    I would love to see an update on the raised beds you planted behind the barn a couple of years ago. You had a beautiful espallia fruit tree in one of them and berries.

    It’s funny you brought up a new small gazebo while Aaron is working behind the camera. Like he’s gonna argue on video. 😂🤣😂🤣❤️ I love the idea! And it should be white to match. The original did not. Thanks for the tour.
