  • I'm delighted to share with you all the second episode of The Overlap, with England Captain Harry Kane.
We discuss Harry's Tottenham career, and he shares how he is fast approaching a cross-roads, and how an honest conversation with Chairman Daniel Levy is needed.
I dive into his time with England, reflecting on Iceland, the World Cup, and his hopes for the EUROs.
Harry shares his inspirations, and how the Michael Jordan documentary ""The Last Dance"" has impacted his outlook.
He strives to be on Messi's & Ronaldo's level, and reveals how he wants to break both Shearer's and Rooney's records.
Should Harry leave Tottenham? I want to know what you think in the comments.
Make sure to subscribe to never miss an episode, and let us know who you want to see my speak to next.
0:00-17:30 - Kane on his future, Tottenham, and Pochettino & Mourinho
17:30-35:18 Life with England, the impact of The Last Dance and becoming an NFL kicker
35:18-48:52 Aiming to break Shearer’s & Rooney’s records, aspiring to be on Messi/Ronaldo’s level and hopes for the EUROs
48:52-1:03:21 Wanting to play with De Bruyne, breaking through, and VAR

Fascinating to hear Harry... his commitment to his craft, (trained for 3 months using only his left peg etc). His drive for perfection and learning which will only get better probably working with Pep. He will lead by example and will likely win a pile of medals. He brings more to a team than just a striker; leadership, goals, assists, knowledge and experience, having worked with a few decent managers already, winners mindset. He will be great in bringing on younger players too. I think any of big teams will be foolish to pass him up. I can see him going into management too once his playing days are over.

      @@En1_1
You've completely missed my point. Harry kane said he spent 3 months concentrating on his weaker foot until it was to a good standard. Young kids spend years at academies and once they come out of them their weak foot is still weak. If they worked on their weak foot it would eventually be almost on a par with their main foot. So many players work to get the ball onto their strong foot and that is when seconds are lost and chances are gone. Look at James milner. Can't cross with his left. So always has to stop. Check onto his right foot and then crosees. In the Premier league one second is an eternity and this second often gives defences time to get back. Being two footed is a basic skill. Or should be for a footballer. I always wonder what players do in training. Apparently not a lot seems to be the answer. None of the players seem to be able to head the ball these days. Most avoid heading it. But that may be due to avoiding dementia in later life. But even the most basic levels of ball control and passing are frequently woefully inadequate these days. Too many work more on their 6 packs than their actual football skills.
