"if Dua Lipa hasnt worked with Daft Punk, do it now," who's gonna tell him?
Touch is genuinely one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard
Real talk
This album has some of the best production I've ever listened to in my life. This is an absolute classic and my favourite of their discography.
The way they use the features as samples is awesome as fuck, this whole album sounds like something they would sample too
2:14 Give Life Back To Music
3:46 Game Of Love
5:50 Giorgio by Moroder
12:17 Within (aka the best song)
15:18 Instant Crush
16:18 Lose Yourself To Dance
17:40 Touch
21:36 Get Lucky
23:26 Beyond
24:49 Motherboard
28:19 Fragments of Time
29:57 Doing It Right
30:20 Contact
Within and Beyond are the best IMO
within good but my least fav on the record personally
@@tadknuf7979 sacrilege :p may god forgive u cause I cant lol
touch is on the album?
@@stormedapple9317 for sure. I've never heard/seen anything otherwise. Underrated song
Daft Punt got one of the best discographies of all time. If you disagree you’re just wrong.
It's the facts for me
whos daft punt?
@@flaxco they’re an absurd and foolish football team known for their elite kickers
Definitely. Homework, Discovery and RAM are all masterpieces. Human After All is a bit weak but it still has it’s own bangers
@@Chrillin___like yeah, human after all's biggest song robot rock isint even that good, repetitive asf.
Homework
Discovery
Human after all
Alive
Random access memories
If you go through the titles you can apply them to the age of daft punk
Homework being young
discovery growing up
Human after all being adult
alive living life
random access memories being older
The thing with RAM was that during this time, electronic music had progressed so far. EDM was the big staple, they could've done some progressive house or dubstep like most artists but they weren't a big fan of it. They wanted to get back to the very roots of the music that inspired them to make albums like Discovery and Homework, and bring the robots back to some human form (can see this with both the robot vocals questioning their reality like in Within, plus the choice to have all live studio instruments).
This album has been a staple in my life for 10 years now, and will forever be in my Top 5. I remember the album rollout, Get Lucky leaking which meant the single released early, getting the album on CD and vinyl for my birthday, and seeing Daft Punk win the Album of the Year Grammy. Good (random) memories
What? They fkin love edm, and they're huge predecessors of the brostep sound
How come the authors of songs with sounds such as The Brainwasher and Steam Machine dislike the wobble subgentes aesthetics? They were coming up in paris at the same time the german bass and british uk dubstep scenes were coming
Daft Punk were always fans of distorted glitchy bass, and also of house music, i call bs on that
Edit: just on that, not on the entire comment
EDM was not a term that existed until ya'll. You missed the golden musicians and, got Taylor swift.
I like that you brought up the idea that every artist that we love have artists that molded them to what they are, because the whole recording process of RAM involved hiring all of Guy-Man and Thomas’ inspirations to form one “superband”
Nile Rodgers on guitar (same guy who does guitar on beyonce’s CUFF IT) , Omar Hakim on drums, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Williams (star of the duo’s favorite movie Phantom of The Paradise)
Friends theyve made along the way (DJ Falcon, Todd Edwards aka the singer from Face to Face)
and artists they love in general! (Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales, Pharrell, Julian Casablancas)
it was genuinely a project made out of love for music
I think this is their best as far as maturity goes. Discovery is immaculate and fun, but RAM feels so much more intricate and ambitious. It's beyond amazing
you NEEEEEED to listen to alive 2007. best electronic live album ever
Bro I’ve been watching you for years now and I never understood why you haven’t blown up yet. Best music review channel on yt
This review kept me laughing almost the whole way through, and I think that means you’re doing something right :] can’t wait for your demon days review
RAM along with Discovery are definitely Daft Punk’s masterpieces also you asked who Giorgio Moroder is and to answer the question he is long story short THE father of electronic music he was one of the first to make music using synths and vocoders way back in the late 70s, I personally became aware of his work thanks to his 2014 song ‘74 Is The New 24’ being featured in Watch Dogs 2
daft punk is one of my favorite groups of all time, love listening to you talk about them
I'm glad you finally listened to this album man. It makes me happy to see how music can touch the soul of others, as RAM did for you.
Cheers from France.
Man I loved your reaction so much, I feel like you completely got the themes and feel of the album. When you mentioned the robot looking for meaning in its existence during Within I audibly said "YES" and felt the same during Touch, it's amazing really. Also I never thought about it but the robots singing the last chorus on Fragments of Time would've been PERFECT.
You can really feel their love for music, I miss them a lot, thank you for your reaction!
I don’t usually recommend live albums but you must listen to their live album 'Alive 2007'. You'll appreciate it more if you listen to 'Human After All' first though.
appreciate this comment, im pretty new to them and imma check this out. a metal singer i love was singing their praises, figured id give it a shot. listened to Human After All first, then Discovery, then RAM and i was so mad at myself for missing out all these years! theyre so talented it's wild
@_WeDontKnow_ I appreciate the reply. It's better to discover them now than never. I wish I could experience it for the first time again like you are now. I recommend watching the o2 wireless Alive 2007 show uploaded by Daveglasses, since it's equally an audio and visual experience. Hope you enjoy.
Yeah, this exactly. Human After All is my second favorite album and Alive 2007 is the best thing that's ever been made.
Fragments of time isnt the first time todd edwards and daft punk collabed. Face to face on discovery was also a collab with him
There is something special about RAM
I don’t really know why but the rollout of this album is the one that has kept with me after 10 years of being released, I remember when I saw that SNL spot on March 2013 and I was extremely excited. As a 13 year old back then I was expecting something like discovery but as I started to grow up I started to appreciate more and more about this album.
The production, the level of quality that the songs display, the lyrics, the sounds really complement everything together and makes this a timeless classic, it’s the album that really started myself to focus and learn more about music and rhythms
It’s a part of my life and I’m grateful that I heard it 10 years ago. Music is truly a gift
Alao your content is not shit. Whenever you upload and I can catch it, I try and watch cus I'm guaranteed a smile by the end.keep it up bro cus you bring a lot of fun into the world
It's amazing how Daft Punk can outlive any other Duo Act after so many years. My son listens to them (even Homework) and he's 5 years old. Just goes to show they are timeless in all aspects of Music and their sound will never grow old (although we will)!
YESS!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!
Been waiting on this video since the Homework review🔥
I JUST watched your Discovery reaction and this popped up fresh! I’m so glad you got to this; this album really did bring electronic music back to its roots.
WOOOOO YEAH BABY THIS IS WHAT WEVE BEEN WAITING FOR BROTHER!!!!!
You should listen to alive 2007!
Daft Punk reaction is instant like and sub. Alive 2007 next. Your mind will be blown, they take their classics and mixes them together in a really cool way.
I'm so late to this video... did anyone tell him the beautiful vocals by Tom Edwards on Fragments of Time was the guy that did the sample chops on Face to Face on Discovery??
Consider listening to their album Human After All. Then you will have listened to their entire studio album discography. There is a loose story spanning their entire discography which you seem to have picked up on a bit.
This and the demon days reaction coming up im being treated well
Look at the cover & back of R.A.M, Then go look at the front cover of Thriller and its back.
This Entire Albums a Dedication to Thriller.🔥
I’ve been waiting for this....
also if you like Daft Punk you should give Tonebox a try.
You should listen to the last new song they made that got released with the 10 year anniversary edition called “infinity repeating” and watch the music video for it. This is absolutely the best Daft Punk Album for just sitting back and relaxing. The lyrics to fragments of time are literally just Todd edwards explaining his time writing the song with Daft Punk and if you listen to all the extras that were released with the 10th anniversary edition you’ll here a recording of them creating the lyrics for the song. Our only plan is to improvise refers to the fact that they were improvising as they went. Keep building these random memories is a reference to the title of the album and that they are building memories together. Familiar faces I’ve never seen refers to the fact that he loved Daft Punks music and now he finally got to sit down with them and write a song. Living the gold and silver is a reference to Daft Punks helmets. I love how deep this album gets the more you listen to it and discover all the hidden meanings of it all, it really is just like poetry.
touch is pretty deep for me. I've cried to that shit cause it just reminds me of what it is to be human & start from 0 & how things can be so good then you get lost in this life, over & over again, lastly how life can turn your body to numbness, trying to find how to feel like your true self again. I love the way it just has that acid sound swirling.
You gotta listen to Alive 2007 bro you'd love it
W video always excited when u drop a new vid. I would love to recommend Midwxst's new album e3 just came out and its really good.
You need Human After All so you can listen to Alive 2007 and have your mind blown
This album was their Magnum Opus. I love it so much.
dantastic reaction man u rly dove into the meaning and w fuckin album
Can’t wait to see your reaction to human after all💀
I like how you said house instead of edm. There was the winter music conference before ultra. That was house music.
goated duo, goated album
Give the 10th anniversary extras a try bud
Listen to Human After All and then Alive 2007!
One of my favorite albums
Oh man, I'm jealous.
Being able to hear for the first time one of the best music albums ever made, a love letter to music.
“remember, love’s our only mission. This is a journey of the soul.” 🙌🔥🍻
Omg demon days coming up yea
A Dua Lipa and Daft Punk collaboration would indeed go hard
*sobs uncontrollably*

You should also listen to there Alive 2007 album for some of their best mashups
Is you'r Bday on the 3rd?
Get lucky has well over a billion streams. It’s just the radio version that hit that milestone rather than the album version
It’s so sad to know they have retired. Hopefully, they might come back in a couple years or so. No other is daft punk
Now you gotta listen to HAA and their live albums
Their live albums are their best albums
Daft punk is two robots. Great review.
We need “human after all” pronto
lowkey i might start doin yoga after watchin this
"Giorgio by Moroder" Really is Daft Punk saying "we stand on the shoulders of Giants." We don't get what we love today without centuries of musical history.
you skipped Human After All?
Now all thats left is human after all
Giorgio worked with Donna Summers so most likely you have heard his sound aside from Scarface.
Finally 🎉
FINALLY RAM
PLEASE DO HUMAN AFTER ALL AND THEN ALIVE 2007!!!
Top 20 album of all time for me
you still have human after all left to react to
2:47

Mamamia!
mylesssssss 🫶🏽
you look kinda like dream
HOW😭💀💀💀
It's funny that you reviewed this. Because I listened to this album as a kid and was never impressed, and it wasnt until only a couple months ago I decided to relisten to it as an adult. Good album, I wouldn't give it 10/10 and I feel like he is a little over hyped, just like deadmau5 except daft punk actually has talent. That's just my opinion. Did you forget how bumping gorrilaz was, or tyler the creator, or how about if you want to talk electronic music: Skrillex (btw his new album is amazing), Mord fustang, Lorn, Balam acab... We could go on and on. You should check out the artists The-Drum on your free time. I recently rediscovered them and was blown away and they only have 400 monthly listeners its just sad.
