Exactly! These people pay their bills with tips. It’s so saddening and ridiculous to hear someone with so much money and influence explain they don’t tip. What in the world
I hope people flooded his twitter and instagram telling him that uber eats delivery people make money off of the TIPS. Not that he would even fucking care. God so annoying, it hurts
it's always the rich people who never tip, I go out of my way to tip well especially if the waiter/waitress is rushing around or seems upset because that job fucking sucks, not to mention his argument "well they are already getting paid" no they aren't! in the US they can be paid as little as $2.15 an hour!

After working as a hostess and hearing what all the waitresses were paid, I was flabbergasted. The waitresses would work twice as much as me, and get a paycheck of like 60 dollars, and then had to rely on tips?? And yet I would make 10.5 an hour plus tips. I also very quickly found out that people with $100+ orders didn't tip well, while 40 dollar orders normally got you like 5 dollars, didn't make sense.
my wife just started a waitressing job, and even tho she gets tipped a whole bunch by drunk white people, but she only makes 3 bucks an hour working basically full time. fucking insane.

as a film major who gets to go to a great school only because of scholarships, getting to just mess around having fun with film is a HUGE privilege, there are so many schools and programs that you can’t get into without previous experience, but those experiences either take a lot of money if you fund them yourself or great connections. Film is so hard to get into if you aren’t born into it

The absolute worst part for me (one of them, at least) is when he talks about how he used to abuse his power and how he doesn't anymore now. It's not about the people. It's not 'I used and hurt people and that's an awful thing to do', it's 'I found I enjoy having a loving relationship over hookups'. It's so telling to me, the way he phrases it. His world is completely centered around himself. He doesn't have enough empathy to understand that what he does can hurt people. Because the only person who really matters to him is himself
EXACTLY!!! Instead of being like “I realized what I was doing was wrong so I worked towards being a better human” he’s like “I got bored of abusing people so I tried something new to stay entertained”
What's sad is a lot of middle class people think that way too. My bubble was shattered when I had a baby who I think is a genius and wants to be a doctor, so I looked into med school and it's literally impossible to afford. It's 100,000 a year. I only make $25,000 a year and almost all of it goes to bills. So it's impossible for people born into poverty to become doctors. You can be born into poverty and go to middle class but that's it.
My alma mater just implement a need-blind policy where any student with a household income under $75k gets a full scholarship. The med school is world renowned. You have more options than you realize. Guidance counselors should know about this stuff, and, if you call or visit a school, they’ll give you a ton of info on their financial aid policies and programs.
Yeah when I was little I wanted to go to calarts but calarts is literally impossible it’s like 60k a year. I’m very happy with where I’m going now, but yeah my family is middle class and there’s no way in hell I could go to even a 50k school
Yeah my old teacher said a friend of hers was poor and went to med school and like Yeah I'm sure but her richer family probably helped. My niece became a teacher and my sister is even more poor than me but teachers don't make that much like I said thats middle class and on top of that she got like straight As all through school and used Fasfa which the government constantly talks of getting rid of. I want my kids to have a better life but it feels like they have to try ridiculously hard just to get to middle class, meanwhile kids born into wealth can get failing grades, drop out, get arrested and still end up owning a successful business. It's a messed up system
@@aurora8749 it truly is. The problem is it’s so polarized now, the middle class is starting to split with people either getting poor or rich. I just did some serious digging on this guy and as of 2022 he is 27 and from what I can tell his current girlfriend he’s been dating for a few years is maybe 19/20 tops. Big yikes from me dog!
I looked into the girlfriend's IG and there's a throwback with him in the picture in 2020, she turned 18 in 2021 based on a post she made. This means they've known each other at least since she's been 16/17. I don't even want to know how much worse this can get!
eat the rich, and this guy will definitely be one of the firsts on my list (also as much as he wants to seem like a badass villain, he comes off as a lame tryhard leeching off of Daddy's money)
the show he was on is called “rich kids go homeless” and there’s a whole “rich kids go …” series of television shows here in the uk. i’ve seen his episode and clearly the show didn’t change his perception of poverty in anyway shape or form which is an obvious and reoccurring flaw of the show and why it has such bad reviews over here.
The tipping part reminds me of my friend telling me about working for Doordash and how she loathed getting orders from the rich neighborhood because they don't tip. It's fucking wild to me. Even when I was a broke college student I still managed to scrape together at least SOMETHING to tip people. These people could just decide to tip someone's entire rent on an order and change their entire life and it would be the equivalent of misplacing a penny for them and yet they DON'T. it's like it actually DELIGHTS them to withhold survival from others. It's sick. It's literally just sick. I don't have anything else to call it but sick and depraved.
they probably just dont understand the value of money and think that these workers are ALREADY working for their money, therefore why should we have to pay them extra? it shows a lack of understanding that most service workers get paid less on the BASIS that they are receiving tips. it’s absolutely scummy.
I was this guy on a much smaller scale for a while. My parents made a lot of money and I just couldn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t go to school, work, and become just as rich. I bought expensive things to show people how successful my family was even though I didn’t even like them. I’d say I was bordering a social Darwinist. And I don’t believe in god but the bitch slapped me in the face and called me a moron. I became disabled and extremely mentally and physically ill. It took literally relearning how to walk to realize that my worth shouldn’t be my work ethic and that this is FAR from an even playing field. So, here ya go. An anti capitalist, socialist, rich kid who takes their parents money and tries to put it equally back into fair systems and socialist ideals behind their back. Also, will be moving out of this dumbass country so I can survive health care expenses ASAP.
Wait omg twins literally. I was an a-hole in a similar way but then I found out I was gay and then trans and I got into social justice... aaand now I'm socialist because I saw people around me suffering.
At first I wanted to give the guy a chance and not assume his humble answers were fake...and then the homelessness question happened and it just spiraled into complete sociopathy. Holy shit.
i once heard someone say that even if someone who’s homeless chooses to spend their money on drugs that then that’s up to them, as long as it keeps them alive they’ll still keep giving people money. it completely changed the narrative i was told as a kid
Plus, you don’t need to give them money. Take them to a fast food place and buy them a meal, give them a gift card to a grocery store, ask them what they need and get that. I get addiction is not their fault, and I get not wanting to feed into that addiction. You can help in ways that is not cash.
@@JasminMiettunen right. my mom used to make food, load it up in our van, and drive around and deliver food to any person she saw living on the streets. sandwhiches, chip bags, and hot food or drinks on cold nights (which was pretty much every night). It may not have been money but most every person she gifted was more than grateful for it. ANYbody could end up homeless within a month. all it takes is being unlucky enough for it to happen. in those times you show compassion for those people, not assume that every one of them is a useless druggie that doesn’t want to leave their situation. I cant believe someone could have so little empathy for people with barely enough money to scrape by. it’s horrendous that THAT mentality is most often held by the people who HAVE the power to change that.
Counterpoint to Jacob saying he feels uncomfortable about discussing money openly: the reason work culture stigmatizes saying how much money you have/make is so that employees don't realize they are always being paid the absolute minimum your boss can get away with, and they don't want tou to ask for more when you realize someone else is making more.
Talking about how much you earn is actually really important as it raises class consciousness. It is a little uncomfortable but it can push people to get organised and unionise so it’s worth it!
This was so unexpected! Two of my favorite RUclipsrs that I didn't even know knew about each other blessing my Monday afternoon? I must be in heaven!!!

"yeah I wanna help people, but how?" Literally just give people money. Its so easy to do. like if he wants to get more complicated with it and help more than just the people he's giving the money to, he could organize like tree-planting or clean-up initiatives. I get that he just wants to focus on his creative work, and thats cool and all but when you have so many resources you have a duty to help the less fortunate.

Ok odd note, but Japan has really weird rules about LOTS of medications. Mental health care is not really a thing over there (at least in the way we know it) and people getting arrested for basic meds is super common because they are so strict on all substances. Same for some other East Asian countries, a well known kpop star basically had her career ended because she was put on anti anxiety/depression meds that were classified as high schedule in Korea.
Human beings literally are not supposed to be rich like most ppl can’t handle wealth without it changing their whole personality and outlook and I feel like most rich ppl don’t even try to care about the rest of the world as long as they’re sitting pretty.
honestly the thing abt people born rich not understanding i completely get. i was born into an above average family in silicon valley and raised along with very rich kids. all the kids never had the same view of money as me as the stories my mom would tell me being an immigrant traveling to america with nothing but 8 dollars and a suitcase of clothes and from the bottom up becoming a doctor and opening a clinic. my mom as much money she could ever have never threw away old clothes but would taylor it herself, why buy something new when you can fix soemthing old. little things like that stuck with me as my friends would spend unnecessary money on things my mom would reuse and make herself
I didn't even get any allowance growing up unless I did the dishes and that was like less than a dollar for each time, and this dude is literally like well I ONLY got 2000 a month, not as much as other parents. My family IS financially stable and very comfortable so maybe that's it. But even before I got my Safeway job I would've still been shook by what my brother said.
About the question of helping homeless people: I work with many people living on the streets of Berlin and this dude is making a point that’s kind of true - many homeless people want to live on the streets or are not willing to change things to get a better life. Giving them money won’t help them sustainably and they usually reject therapeutic work. You legally can’t force someone to get better, you can’t force help onto someone unless they are in acute danger and then it’s usually too late for them. This problem can’t be solved sustainably by a single rich person because it’s caused by a flawed system that continues to ignore many societal issues
The no tipping thing blew my fucking mind, is that guy so disconnected that he doesn't know people mostly live off their tips?!?! LIKE WHAT- listen I'm not really around rich people but I thought that was general knowledge!
hearing regular working class people ask these questions and basically ask “are you exploiting me and people who live like me? do you even care about people like me cuz you’re literally stepping on our throats to maintain your wealth?” and hearing him just so carelessly be able to say yes to those questions and not even think about them or have an ounce of guilt is probably the most depressing thing because it’s like man we already know rich people don’t give a fuck about us but hearing them be able to say it to our faces and not even think about the questions as anything other than interview questions is just so nauseating
Welp. She was raised by Walt’s brother. Who was more willing to negotiate and pay workers whenever they went on strike against his brother. One time when the animators were striking, he told Walt Disney to go on vacation, and while he was gone he negotiated with the animators and raised their wages. This pissed off Walt, but he was to stressed and loved his brother too much to go back and stop it. 😂

He doesn’t tip??? WHAT?! I tip hella money on deliveries and I’m paycheck to paycheck. He doesn’t value the labor of others. I don’t know why that surprises me because he just said it was okay to exploit the working class… so his money is literally where his mouth is.
Exactly! These people pay their bills with tips. It’s so saddening and ridiculous to hear someone with so much money and influence explain they don’t tip. What in the world
Literally just tipped 2 gallons of gas
I tip always the highest on Uber eats and if the service is EXCEPTIONALLY EXCEPTIONAL I tip even more. I’m grateful I can.

Fr if I can pay to go out I can pay to tip
I posted this somewhere else before I saw your comment but EXACTLY. It’s so backwards.
I delivered Chinese food for years and it was WELL known among employees that fancy neighborhoods with big houses often didn’t tip at all even for $100+ orders. And more than half the time, “rich” ppl tipped less than families scraping by to pay rent. I could almost always count on tips from trailer parks.
People who have to work hard for their money understand the value.
I’ve seen an awful lot of Bible verses written on tip lines, and those folks were definitely not rich. Anyone can be a dick.
god it makes me so mad when people are so cruel to drug addicts when so much of the addiction cycle is created out of trauma and/or the inability to afford actual medical care but yeah they're just lazy horrible people 🙃
Right, I tell people this euphoria quote “you’re not a drug addict because you’re a piece of shit, you’re a piece of shit because you’re a drug addict” nobody WANTS addiction.
there’s a reason why i say that addiction is a symptom of something else, because it doesn’t just happen, it’s a result of something else

Growing up I lived a privileged childhood, and feel very lucky with the childhood I got. Now, as I go off to college, we’re drowning in debt and my parents are planning on selling the house and living in a camper full-time. I feel horrible bc I think the reason for this has a lot to do with trying to pay for my college. I work part time, and will throughout these next four years but I wish I could do more for them. I don’t want them ruining their lives for the sake of me going to college.
@@golfwang8084 As a parent I know your parents would much rather struggle financially for the rest of their lives to help you get through school than see you give up on your dreams or be the one financially struggling. Dont feel bad. As parents it's our responsibility to help our children have better lives than we did. Please don't worry about your families financial struggle. Focus on doing your best in school and then hey! Maybe once you've graduated and get a job with a good income you will be financially in a better position to help them but again don't feel obligated.

I say just kill them. All the plastic they're made of would probably kill us if we tried to eat it lol
the show he was on is called “rich kids go homeless” and there’s a whole “rich kids go …” series of television shows here in the uk. i’ve seen his episode and clearly the show didn’t change his perception of poverty in anyway shape or form which is an obvious and reoccurring flaw of the show and why it has such bad reviews over here.
Also, will be moving out of this dumbass country so I can survive health care expenses ASAP.

i once heard someone say that even if someone who’s homeless chooses to spend their money on drugs that then that’s up to them, as long as it keeps them alive they’ll still keep giving people money. it completely changed the narrative i was told as a kid
