Control... Taking 100 supplements can give you a sense of control and purpose like a hobby. Aging and death are uncontrollable and can be scary.

Yeah, like as someone who has health issues, the max amount of doctors I’ve had is 12, all different specialties. The max amount of pills I was prescribed at the same time was 7, and I’m 18 so that’s throughout my whole life. I don’t understand in what world 100 pills would be necessary or helpful.
Yeah, I have to take 16 pills a day and it’s a nightmare to keep up with, what is wrong with this guy

this is like another version of almond moms. imagine once his kid starts seeing signs of aging and immediately associates them with the negative feelings his father portrayed growing up. people don’t understand that you need to come to terms with your insecurities before you have kids or else they will adopt your same insecurities.

Just in case anyones curious, my pelvic floor therapist said that the goal is to be *able* to hold your pee for 30 minutes to an hour, not to do it all the time. Both hyper- and hypotonic pelvic muscles can cause frequent urination, but both respond well to treatment at least in women.
30 minutes…to an hour?? That’s the recommended??? Guys I might be in trouble I’ve been going waaaaay over for a loooong time 👀💧

I will try not to think about this guy too much otherwise I'll start getting mad that he has 30 doctors that see him every day just because he wants to whereas so many disabled people can't even afford one doctor, or the meds we need to stay alive. I'm lucky enough to have access to multiple doctors (like 2-3) and they still haven't been able to diagnose the source of my chronic pain.
FELT AND REAL. Onto my third doctor this year and he's the best one so far, only get to see him once a month unless it's an emergency and we haven't even found specialists to refer me to

His son was an acquaintance of mine before he left his single mom and younger sister to move in with his dad for his senior year of high school. He is very nice and never talked about his dad before he left very abruptly. I know from mutual friends that there’s been situations where he’s gotten in trouble for eating a gingerbread house with his friends and other stuff like that. We do worry about him but from the little contact we’ve had he seems to be happy.
I love when doctors focuses their whole attention on a guy who just can't accept aging while hospitals are understaff and dealing with dying people who can't have the money to even pay cureable diseases.
I would normally be the kinda guy to say, if (cosmetic) surgeries made you happier so be it and I know that it can genuinely help mentally some people. After all transitionning for trans people can involve surgeries and hormonal therapy and there is nothing wrong with that. And not only trans people can use gender affirming surgeries or hormonal therapy it's actually quite common practice and it helps a lot of people. That's a great thing about science and new ways to feel better in the skin you live in.
However this guy is not using those technologies healthily at all. At some point you gotta accept that you will and are allowed age... just gotta age healthily if possible and he can afford that for sure.

i saw this guy on snapchat stories once, and i don't use social media much, but something about his creepy face drew me in. i ended up finding a clip where he was going over his morning supplements and the list was something you'd expect, "ginger, garlic, turmeric," but then he said "lithium." i thought, huh, isn't that used as a medication for individuals with bipolar? needless to say i have questions
Lithium is primarily for schizophrenic patients, but, like most mental health medications, it is also prescribed for other mental/physical ailments.
It’s a different type of lithium, and a muchhhh smaller dose. Still not something he should need to take though lol.

I had to take 59 medications everyday (on top of injections and radiation/fusion meds), I don’t get why you’d intentionally do that to yourself. I felt like absolute shit with that many meds fighting in my body.

I'd like to mention that if you constantly limit your caloric intake, your body adapts to that change to survive. Eating less never keeps you thin
Not without risking it ending you. I was definitely staying thin at the height of my anorexia but I was also having daily heart palpitations in my early 20s and the doctors said it was a miracle my organs weren't permanently damaged.

No, he's not saying he uses alcohol in the form of pills to get drunk. Parts off red wine are supposed to be good for you, so he's just taking those parts, not the alcohol. Even if you had 100% alcohol, it would be so impractical to try to get drunk from it in pill form because you need a large volume of it to feel anything. He wants the benefits of wine without the negatives of alcohol
