They basically were constantly ankle deep in water, and it caused Trench Foot, aka Immersion Foot Syndrome. It's a whole thing of what happens when your feet are wet for too long, lmao. It wouldn't be just his hands, he'd have some serious physical problems from being in the water too long.

I had one of those solar chargeable power banks and it barely charged at all. The solar panel is way too small to give you significant power even if you leave it in direct sun all day.

This reminds me of stories my mom has told me about her grandma, whom I didn’t get to meet because she unfortunately passed before I was born. Grandma grew up without electricity let alone tv so she didn’t quite understand the concept of acting. So she would watch the Mexican telenovelas and as per usual, there would be a cliffhanger on the Friday episode to get you hyped for the resolution on Monday. Poor grandma believed it was real, so she would agonize over the cliffhanger all weekend. One in particular that my mom remembers is that grandma’s favorite character was stranded in the ocean for a Friday cliffhanger, the whole weekend she was telling the family that they needed to go save him. So cute and funny, but it really goes to show that some people are very gullible. Try as they may to explain to her that it wasn’t real she would argue that they were trying to fool her hahaha I love her even though I didn’t get to meet her.

ok so 1. mad props to you saji, great content. it is nearly 6 am here and i've been binging your content for at least seven hours, you're the goat. also you're beautiful.
2.i just wanna give my two cents on the "catching a fish" portion. obviously the fish is dead, looks fresh outta the store, and this is the fakest part (in addition to the unscathed phone, the lack of physical evidence such as sunburn to prove he's been stranded for a while, the pristine editing, etc.). but to add to that, he is pretending to have caught some kind of flatfish, likely flounder.
flounder live in sediment on the seafloor, which is why they look so weird; they lie on one side and one of their eyes migrates as they age to the side of their body facing towards the sky, in order to see predator and prey while hidden.
now, our boy maddzack claims the water is anywhere from 100-200 feet deep. so, the idea that he would go out of his way to swim alllll the way to the seafloor, locate a flounder, grab it and resurface, with absolutely no diving equipment, no experience, and the face of a spoiled rich kid... is hilariously stupid. like if he wanted to make it remotely believable, there are other fish and invertebrates in the ocean someone could have more easily caught, though still with some difficulty. but nah fuck that people are gullible
If it was real then emergency services would hop out there for some reason or another. Plus friends or family would stumble upon it lmao, though honestly there are so many other problems with it, it's funny af.

I have a solar powered phone charger, and it's incredibly slow at both building and transferring a charge. He also showed the whole thing getting dunked underwater while filming his origin story cinematic, and it's probably been spashed and sprayed with salt water the whole time, which would probably have corroded something by now.

So to catch fish, you first take off your life jacket, obviously, so that the buoyancy doesn’t interfere with your ability to sink. But then, where are you putting it while you go faff about with shop-bought dead fish? If there’s a current, it would float away while you’re down there.
Also, it’s very clearly fake. The question I’d like answered is, if someone on TikTok contacts the emergency services, WTF are you going to tell them when you’re potentially fined or otherwise prosecuted for wasting their time and/or creating a public nuisance?

Every time he would dim the lights the wife asked the husband if he notices it too be the husband just was like tf u talkin about the lights are fine, and slowly the wife started to doubt herself and what she used to be convinced was reality. The husband did this to be able to commit her to a mental hospital because she's gone insane, and then steal her money (Y)
Edit: this term has become quite popular these days among people who misuse it. It's important that gaslighting isnt the same as lying, it's manipulating people and circumstances in a way that they themselves come to the conclusion that what they believed is actually wrong or fake or untrue.

A solar panel the size of a smart phone would generate negligible amounts of electricity, there's no way you could reliably charge a phone that way. Even those much larger portable solar chargers you sometimes see hardly work at all in the best conditions. If it's just a case, surely he can simply take the case off to show us.

This is one of the funniest bits if you ever had a hyper fixation on shipwrecks because staying in the water even for a few days does truly horrible things to your body. Not just because we weren't meant to live in the water but because the ocean is absolutely RIDDLED in viruses and bacteria that can and will cancel your life subscription. There are stories about shio wreck victims skin falling off when they were rescued and finally pulled from the water. Being stranded in the open ocean is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and it's downplayed in the media when it comes to how things would go down if you fall off a boat and don't have anything to float on because things get real bad real fast in ways most people wouldn't consider.
Even a few days would waterlog your skin and you'd likely develop sores and infected abscess areas just from the water. Thirty miles from shore is QUITE far to swim but if he was out there as long as he claimed why didn't he just try swimming and floating closer to shore? This wasn't even a convincing lie? He fell off the side of the boat like a practiced diver because if he tried to fake falling off the back there's a chance he might hit the motor blades and actually get hurt. The boat doesn't even appear to be moving when he does dive so he literally followed safety protocols for scuba diving even as he gaslights his veiwers. Which might actually be pretty harmful considering he could have framed this series as a sort if educational how to in regards to survival at sea and offering REAL advice for people who this may actually happen to.
The pretending it's real bit is what rubs me the wrong way. It could have been a funny bit if he was more clear about the fact that he's just playing pretend. Which is actually something people do enjoy watching so he doesn't even HAVE to lie about it. This could have been way more interesting if he'd presented this series differently in my opinion. Content creators who lie about the validity of their content are my least favorite kind. It's extremely annoying and feels manipulative because that content is almost always targeted towards children who believe adults as a general rule.
