A cis person or cisgender person is a person who identifies as their gender assigned at birth, cis is simply the opposite of trans. This means the term "cis" or "cisgender" applies to Elon Musk, therefore it can be used and would not be "dumb".

That comparison about "cis" being a slur also doesn't make sense when compared to its opposite. "Cis" is short for "cisgender" in the same way that "trans" is short for "transgender" and "trans" isn't considered a slur at all. If people started saying "cissy" in the same way as the trans slur then maybe there could be an argument, but that word ironically sounds the same as "sissy", which means feminine boy.

also, sometimes trans people don’t medically transition but do socially, and that’s just as fine too. i’ve been out socially for 7 years and i’ve never regretted it, and for all 7 years i’ve been looking forward to medically transitioning. but because of where i live in the US i refuse to start because i could very well be denied of resources soon, and it’s not worth the risk of even more (and worse) hate crimes.

hey saji! I decided to check the Urban Indian out, and I really really loved their designs! Upon going onto their "Our Story" part of their website, i noticed that they emphasize being proud of the Indian culture and experiences. I'm not sure if it would be weird as an east asian/white person to wear their clothes? It's not an issue of supporting this business or supporting their purpose, which I'm not hesitant to do, but more of me actually wearing what they make, as their goal is to empower Indian culture. In all, I'm just not very educated on this topic, and would love some help before I do anything! 🫶
