I’ve seen so many people talk about the Barbie movie and “if the roles were reversed” as if the roles ARENT reversed and that’s the whole point of the movie
On god bro. The men complaining about this movie are privileged to not have to live like that. Unfortunately for women, it is a reality.
If anybody thinks Barbie is representative of reality, then they live in Barbieland themselves or they've been under a rock since the 1950s.

Also I’d like to add that the character in Sound of Freedom, the little girl that gets trafficked is based off of a real person, Gardy, who was never found. The least they could’ve done was show the face of the child that’s been missing for years for fucks sake.

Crazy to me that the Barbie movie could be considered an attack on men… either these ppl aren’t watching the movie or they’re just so ignorant to the truth of the world and they don’t want to see that the society that we uphold harms women. LITERALLY if u think that a movie whose ending for the male characters is a kinda purposefully trite message about how we are all unique and good enough as ourselves outside of the strict boundaries of masculinity (whatever that means in our respective worlds) is an "attack on men" rather than just an attack on dogmatic traditional masculinity that often makes men miserable...... idk what to tell u bestie but i dont think ur making the world a better place for any gender other than piers morgan

Im Colombian and Im from the city where the real event shown in this movie happened. It was back in 2014, 5 people were captured while throwing a “party” for ped0s in an island near the city, Cartagena de Indias. The movie makes a very accurate portrayal of how they recruited children (if you’ve watched the movie, you’ll remember Giselle, the ex-beauty queen who recruited kids as “models” and artists. She actually exists, her name is Kelly Johanna Suarez) and how the raid went down. In my opinion, as a queer, centrist Hispanic immigrant, the discussion around this movie should not be centered in politics, not even related to it. We, as a society, are missing the whole point of the movie, we are overlooking what we are being shown so clearly, and it’s so sad that we still won’t react.
You're falling for sensationalized propaganda made by a glory seeking wannabe cop, which is written for the purpose of inflaming political polarization, by someone who believes in a conspiracy theory wherein everyone he, and his fellow right-wingers, do not like, is secretly a child eating Satanist.
This film does not portray child trafficking accurately. It does not portray the actions taken to COMBAT child trafficking accurately. It also more or less lies about where the protagonist was during the accounts these are loosely based on.
This movie was MADE to be political, and to be a rallying point for conservatives to label their enemies as child traffickers, who should all be put up against a wall, and, well, you can guess.
You know, I remember once my Dad, sister and I watched "The A-Team" in theaters. About 25 minutes in, the movie started cutting to black while the audio was still playing. Then those trivia questions they play before the movie started appearing over the film itself. After a couple minutes, the movie finally stopped, and the theater manager walked in to announce they'd have to stop the movie due to technical difficulties, apologized for the inconvenience, and said we could collect either a refund or a certificate for another viewing of our choosing.

It makes sense, they're extremely sheltered people.
But what happens in this movie isn't at all how real trafficking usually happens. It about as much based on a true story as taken is. They would be better to watch a number of real documentaries and understand how trafficking actually happens.
@jratnerd but that's not flashy. The people who like these kinds of movies are the same people who thought the military was gonna sweep in on Biden's inauguration in black hawks to arrest him, reinstate Trump, and get the entire cabal to confess to their crimes against children. A lot of them (when referring to "The Storm") have said that they don't know what will happen, but it will be just like a movie. They live in this action flick headspace where the good guys are just like them, the bad guys are just like the people they don't like, and the day is always saved with some sweeping action in the 11th hour. And regardless of which side youre one, its all the same. Conservatives call liberals nazis, liberals call conservatives nazis. Doesn't mean they are. And if all centrists were suddenly conservatives or solely agreed with conservative talking points, we wouldnt have a democrat led administration rn.
@@kaiparker1756 the thing is that in practice they only agree with conservatives and they say everything that is left is bad. It’s not one two things, it’s on everything they agree with conservatives. Sure, the US has a democratic president, but all they do is complain about every left leaning thing.
And also it’s not the same comparing a group that fights for human rights to a group who wants to harm those people. Saying they’re the same it’s just invalidating the fight for rights and trying to make the aggressors look better. So no it’s not the same insulting someone for wanting to harm people than insulting someone for being of a certain race, sexuality or gender

damn, america should have more parties than just republican and democrat
There are other parties they just don't get enough attention because people are so obsessed with Democrat and Republican and those who are interested get told "If you vote for a 3rd party you are helping the competition by wasting a vote" which is insane. I think in US high schools, 1) Government class should be required and 2) they should have a government project were groups or individuals research and present different parties so many people know there are more choices than the big 2.

There's two ways you go when you're relatively handsome and play Jesus in a snuff film, you can either be humbled by it and thank Satan that you even got to be this lucky or you can go the Jim Caviziel route and go "No, I'm actually Jesus Christ".

I think we need to be talking more about how the tactics used in the film-which are also used in real life-DRIVE UP DEMAND in this market, which in turn leads to MORE KIDS being tr*fficked
Conservatives aren't ready for any real conversations on the subject. They're far more concerned with virtue signalling that they watched the anti-pedo movie, making them good people, while any detractors are obviously just pro-pedo.
But you're right, the tactics OUR attempts to employ have been heavily scrutinized by actual anti-trafficing agencies for actually endangering kids rather than helping or protecting them.
It's more than just increasing demand for sex traffic, they also impersonated doctors in an attempt to get close to victims, which ultimately leads to traffickers being less inclined to trust doctors and allow them access to see to the children's health. Because that's what kids being trafficked need, less access to medical care.
im a movie theatre employee and seeing all the conspiracies about this movie is just ridiculous. no theatre is purposefully sabotaging a movie. theatre's (at least big ones like where i work) are companies and corporations first. if it makes them money, they like it
great vid as always! (will watch it tomorrow)
So funny… Hollywood doesn’t advertise for movies. The movie producers/financiers pay for advertising… the kicker is the marketing of the movie was “this is the movie THWY don’t want you to see”. And the right deep throated that and repeated it as facts..
Yeah, there are quite a few Disney movies that flopped recently due to lack of marketing because in their hubris they still think the Disney name alone has the same pull it used to have
Banging videos lately, Saji, we see you!! 😌 keep up the good work ✊
A take: the production company could easily afford advertising but chose not to spend it on traditional advertising in order to create that oppressed feeling conservatives thrive on and use to spread all their deranged takes.
or people in hollywood do not want you to see it since they are known pedophiles and they chose the best way to make you not see it, and scrutinized it for not being "woke" which appealed to the republican looney bin so they support it but they also have no true opinions about the movie and can see it only through their schewed agenda, also those comments could be fake. Not everything is so black and white. I have yet to see any concrete proof about the movie's link to christianity besides the fact that that dude played jesus.

The Batman-esque suit up was money at 10:00
My therapist (who's really nice and doesn't know much about foreign movies) brought up Sound of Freedom when I was talking about child trafficking in a session. I was dying inside for a solid minute until I explained it was a conservative movie with homophobic ties and she made it clear she was not about that. I hate the built up hype around this and especially the narrative that if you don't care about the movie you don't care about child trafficking because it's a rhetoric that completely excludes actual victims from the conversation.
Statistically speaking, conservatives have said that to at least one victim of child trafficking. If they cared they would know about the type of trauma that those victims face and that re-exposing victims to that environment is not a good thing to promote. Like not surprising from the people who use "you're triggered" as an insult and promote laws that lower mental health access but still frustrating just the same.
It's lies like "homophobic ties" in a movie that has no homophobic or political references that make me think you're probably liberal. (Unless you're referring to grown men intersted in young boys, which is technically gay, but, does happen. It only seems to be ONE side of the political spectrum that lies about this movie. That being said, you do not need to watch the movie but can we both agree that, dramatized or not, a movie touching the surface of the horror of child trafficking may yet inspire SOME folks to do something about it? That's a win in my book, no matter which political side you belong to. Step 2 would be to hold our leaders, (religious figurehead too) accountable for their involvement in all of this
@@Jonathan-fu5hxgotta love it when clowns think they're actually spitting some hard truths or some such bullshit. The video we're commenting on shows direct footage of Tim Ballard the man whose lies the film is based on and dramatizing, make claims that have direct ties to homophobic rhetoric and have no factual backing.
If you don't understand that the movie doesn't have to outright say explicitly homophobic things in order to have ties to homophobic rhetoric and to point towards homophobic ideas implicitly, then you're really not ready for this conversation. It's almost like you've never heard of a dog whistle before, or have a vested interest in not acknowledging them.
@VicViper1984 And I was responding to Lollipops, who clearly never watched the movie, but thought she knew better than her therapist what the movie was about. Why can't people trust that the vision of the director was simply to tell a good story and spread awareness? Instead, the hate is real
@@Jonathan-fu5hx Because there's no "trust" about it. The facts are the facts and the movie is demonstrably a propaganda piece that only serves to glorify a grifter that exploits the stories of actual victims of human trafficking for undeserved clout. You'd rather take his word than the words of actual victims of sex trafficking, as well as the people who actually put in the work to help/save them.
@@Jonathan-fu5hx OP demonstrably DOES understand the film better than you or her therapist. It's almost as if researching this stuff might actually yield more factual information about the film, the man it's about, and the behind the scenes of the production than watching the film and taking it at face value would. Fancy that.
I just find it funny how
conservatives make comments on separate posts about how THEY saw the sound of freedom not
barbie. like that gives them superiority about caring while also ignoring every other facet of life or social issue for anyone who isn't exactly like them.
that's chaotic.
I'm not denying that it speaks for real sick things

Centrism is not unbiased. Centrism sedes political support to conserving the status quo. The problem with your line of thinking is that the political parties do not represent ideology, they are influenced by it. For example, Democrats libs are mostly “center” left, as the greatest divide comes from the right’s culture war nonsense, and on actual politics, both parties are in agreement more often. The actual opposite to conservatism is progressivism, or the bettering of society.
Edit: that last bit made me want to jump off a bridge.
I always think it is funny when conservatives are against conservation, why are they so liberal about destroying the environment?
