@@dprdenny ok so originally gyatt was just like an exclamation of surprise that was an exaggerated way of pronouncing the word “god”, so for example, instead of saying “goddam!” someone would say “gyatt damn!”. It was created and used predominantly in African American communities and was/is considered aave. Black people started saying “gyatt damn” on social media as a joke when people had like surprisingly big butts and everyone else noticed, it got shortened to just “gyatt” because people love a good cutoff, and the rest is history!

surprisingly, this actually isn’t the case! there are a lot of mammal species that engage in what’s technically called “non-reproductive sexual behavior” (tho this isn’t limited to mammals either!). bonobos are notorious for this - they’re one of only a few species that are entirely bisexual (sometimes even having more homosexual sex than heterosexual!), and literally will have sex with one another until they get bored of it lol. Male lions have sex with each other for bonding. The animal world is a lot more gay than you might think!
