As someone who was diagnosed with brain cancer a few months ago and has been going through treatment, I actually really like hearing you guys joke around about it. It makes the whole ordeal feel less scary, y’know?
Update: y’all in the replies have been so sweet thank you so much 💖 after a few months of radiation therapy I’m in stable condition, and my life’s getting back to normal now 😊
I hope you get better soon, and if you don't, I hope you rest easy and have your own special place in paradise.

i remember watching this video every day a year ago
my dad had cancer then, he was really sick, was 60kg, couldn't eat or drink, but we were all staying really positive about the situation
he died, it was a fucking tragedy i can't even put it into words how shocking it was since he was really getting better in his last days (or maybe that's just the thing when a person is dying their body does this really confusing thing before death)
i miss him a lot, the memories are scary and beyond sad
but jacob's videos calmed me down with how funny he was and how positive he was about his cancer
i used to watch multiple creators with cancer then and all of them are in remmission now
cancer is a bitch, i'm so glad jacob is okay now, he's a great guy honestly i love him so much

When sa, most of the time the victims die by mechanical asphyxiation but there is a lot more : Sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV, overdosing on drugs who were forcefully administered to the victim…
The aftermath of the sa can lead to death in the form of suicide and/also fatal drug uses.
The experience is extremely traumatic and can cause a number of mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, dissociation, eating disorders etc

honestly I really respect them both for taking SA seriously. I got SA'd earlier this year and honestly have been struggling ever since, it's really nice to see someone take it seriously and promote organisations that help those in a similiar situation. I've been in and out of hospitals ever since, and taking on therapy and rehab groups to get through it. My heat goes out to anyone who has been in a similar situation, and I hope whoever has gone through it is okay! Thank you Kurtis and Jacob, you guys honestly have helped me in trying to trust other people again. Love you man

On an entirely serious note, I hope Jacob’s cancer journey goes okay. It is a hard road that does not treat people lightly, and I really wish him the best. It is amazing to see him continue to be happy and stay lighthearted. Keeping yourself optimistic really does help. I hope I speak for all of us when I say we’re rooting for you and cheering you on.
i was looking for a comment like this... brain cancer is serious shit and while im glad hes able to make jokes and be positive, my heart truly hurts for him.
Having positive energy really does help slow the progression of cancer! It’s hard to do in those times but it really is one of the key factors to help beat it (obviously aside from medical treatment)

I’m really worried about him because he seems like a sweetheart. My dad died after a three year battle with brain cancer that ruined his sight and balance and was horrible. I hope his fiancé/wife will be ok through this too.

I don’t think you should feel bad in this case. He makes jokes so people can laugh with him. He’s a comedian and I’m sure he wouldn’t be upset by it (unless you’re making fun of him)
Nah dude dont feel bad! I had cancer twice and literally i always joked about that shit with my friends (especially the ones who were there with me through the first AND second time). Sometimes people get uncomfortable or feel bad for laughing along but just think of it as something that helps them to ease the pain and stress over it :) Especially because its a time when its that much harder to find the humor in things.

My best friend died to brain cancer, so this hits close to home. I really hope Jacob gets better.
This very much reminds me of my families type of humor. When my dog died we were like “WELL thank god we don’t have to specially lock up the trash anymore.” Or “of course that guy DIED AND missed the best year of SNOW.” he loved snow. We all loved that dog so so much.
Honestly, Sebastian should just delete his channel entirely. He is a terrible human being and he never learns from his mistakes. Just a circle that repeats itself.

I feel like his whole energy would be invested better as an animateur (not sure whether the word exists in English, they are people who are hired to be energetic and do fun activities with hotel guests or their kids or on conventions or in theme parks)... not everyone has to be a content creator.

my friend had cancer a year or two ago (she's all good now!! yayyy!!) and one of our friends put like. a nickel and a dime into one of those "donate to kids with cancer uwu" things with like all the tracks and stuff inside (I. don't know if I described that well) like "THIS ONE'S FOR YOU CHLOE" and it still makes me SCREAM when I think about it
I’m disabled and people will get offended on my behalf when I make jokes about it. It’s just so much better to laugh about something and see it in a good light than to skirt around it unless it’s about pity. I really enjoyed the jokes about his cancer because I saw myself in them, and anyone who thinks they’re “tasteless” just obviously hasn’t been in that position

I’m luckily not a victim of SA, but watching this reminded me of my friend and my cousin, that both experienced SA and are still in a really depressing state of mind. Survivors are really strong and shouldn’t be downplayed or triggered. This mentality is disgusting and the reason victims of SA are often downplayed and not get justice. This makes it also for people so scary going to crowded places and fear something happening to them. For example, I can’t enjoy my time to the fullest on a party, because of constantly worrying for someone to put something in my drink. I also hate, that this dudes viewers are probably 99% children under 13, who might think SA is something normal and isn’t serious and can be used for videos and pranks.
that's the worst fucking thing about it. He's teaching these kids who probably watch his videos for "Ha ha funny orange man do prank on funny hair girlfriend" that sexual assault is funny and/or not to be taken seriously which is absolutely wrong. And I hate how he prefaces it by saying "If you are offended by this, I was not trying to offend you." as if that's gonna absolve him of any wrong-doing. I'm not a survivor myself but hearing all these survivors stories in the comments has really brought to light what a disease it is.
This week has been hell for me cuz I was sexuality assaulted. I can't eat, sleep, or shower. The PTSD and flashbacks are literally the worst things I have ever been through in my entire life. I just want it to stop. Thank you for calling him out on his bullshit.

Even though he said "this is not offensive", I think it is still "offensive" for some more reasons than this but, one of them is that my dad was in the Army and he was in there 22 years and he was deployed multiple times. He now has PTSD and takes medication for that. I think that it is really shty for someone to do that. I like how Kurtis and Jacob can for real make jokes about the army and actually make them JOKES
I have to say that Jacob is really strong for being able to joke about his cancer. I would be inconsolable.
The fact that Kurtis didn’t do the normal “don’t go leave this guy a bunch of hate,” shows that he’s mad about this, and I love it.

This video is from ages but i need to put this out to the world in some way and this one of my comfort videos and is related to the topic so im doing it here. During quarantine ive come to realize that i was sa by a person that I really trusted at the time. I say i come to realize it bc when we talked about having sex i said i wasnt ready so she "convinced" me of doing it, saying that she lost at the same age i was so it was not a big deal. I was only 14. At the time i didn't realize how much i felt and was manipulated by her and her actions. She controlled what i did and i didnt want to disappoint her. When she ditched me to be with someone else i felt so unworthy of being loved, and that the inly thing people viewed me as was a way of being satisfied. To this day i still feel this way with every relationship that i have and i can never trust anyone fully. This is not a joke, this is a traumatic event that so many people go thru. Thank you kurtis for making this video and doing the best you can to help the people that gone trough this trauma.

@@obiwankenobi9141 i know she also manipulated other people bc she got with a lot of people around me as well. I wish i could have said something back then, but at least she is in another country now so i dont have to see her ever again, or i hope so. Also, since then a lot of people come to realize how toxic and manipulative she was (bc she did to so many people) so it would be very hard for her to do it again, at least to the people around me.

This sort of happened to me when I was younger. Obviously these RUclips pranks weren’t around weren’t around but being surrounded by people telling you “it’s not that serious” and to just “get over it” is extremely damaging. I’ve only been able to get help these last few years because for upwards of 10 years I’ve believed I was in the wrong. I can only imagine how hard it must be for assault survivors nowadays since it’s now considered MAINSTREAM ENTERTAINMENT that ANYONE can see. While most of the people here agree this is awful, the painful truth is that the majority of people who watch this prank shit think it’s nothing to worry about or even think it’s funny. I’m sorry I didn’t really mean for this to turn into a rant but this insensitive prank shit just gets me so goddamn heated.
@@lucai_2860 as a young person who was assaulted when I was 5, all this shit normalising sexual assault in kids these days is really damaging. I didn't even consider it assault until a week ago (partly because I repressed the memory) and the person who assaulted me was also a minor. I don't want to go into too much detail, but basically he pressured me into touching his private parts and letting him touch mine and a bunch of media normalises kids being sexual and stuff and its really enraging to see because kids who are like me will brush off their assault because people told them its "normal" and won't realise its bad until years later.
It's really weird, because Sebastian has that energy that feels both homophobic AND gay at the same time

My brother was the same way when he had cancer. Definitely made it so he, and everyone else, were able to cope with everything easier. Plus some people are so scared to say or do something wrong that they just avoid the other person all together. So, by having a repertoire with people about it he was able to keep himself from feeling isolated, and be treated like a different person. Hopefully that makes sense.

Not exactly the same thing, but one of my closest friends and I both have depression amongst other things, and before the world went to shit we were planning on going to Disneyland someday. We used to come up with increasingly elaborate ways to kill ourselves at Disneyland. It was pretty amazing.
