One item I wished I knew when I started, was when you defeat the boss of a campaign section, you will be given a quest to complete in 24x hours for a requisition scroll. With that in mind, you should try to do that mission when you have the most energy/advert energy and the cheap blackstone energy.
Yeah I mean the curse is always...I could have used this months ago before I started paying them to fuck me. I think I may have gotten a little more fuck for my money.
My 1$ tip. Before scrapping an item upgrade it to max first. This will help you get the 2 achievements faster (items upgraded & scraps retrieved) and you lose nothing doing this.
Might be worth mentioning to new players that if they wish to spend a few £, don't go for the Yarrick offer. Instead find a backissue of the White Dwarf magazine with the Yarrick unlock code and then buy Isabella.
@db preacher Ithanks for the tips! I just played against you yesterday in TA. I should have watched this before I played you 😂 thanks for the videos and the match!
When I started the game about 6 weeks from now , the game introduced a rate % increased for newer players to acquire epic-legendary heroes for 2 days.. Not sure if it’s still being done but just want to let newer players know
Thanks for the tip on how to turn off screen shake. I looked but didn't realise it was in the battle menu. I'd resorted to just turning my head or closing my eyes during combat to prevent the sickness
@@DBPreacherTacticus dude .. literally over the last day I've noticed a significant difference in using the mirror campaigns for common and uncommon items! That might be the best lesser known tip of the game
Especially Saturday, I make sure I have max energy for the reset. I even save the Ad and 50 BS energy purchase for right before the reset. So I have almost 300 for x2 Coin. Saturday I make sure I use all my energy before Sunday’s reset. I’m level 38 and still depleted of coin but eventually I’ll prioritize EXP.
Simply because energy gets you gear and character shards more efficiently than buying requisition scrolls. The major gate in this game is gear to level your characters and so that is more important in the long run.
Great tips. Shame I already got yarrick. He is great though and I loved him since theb90s so. Really useful little tips though. Thanks muchly. The emperor protects. But a big gun never hurt
As a new (VERY new) player hearing about this from Space Marine 2, is it even possible to get the Titus character crossover as a new player? If so, what is the advice for doing so?
It is possible to get the character, yep! However it is not really free sadly. There is a battlepass in the game that you can buy for around 20 bucks. Then you need to play regular missions to complete the battlepass. That plus the upcoming Titus event will let you open the character.
@@DBPreacherTacticus So I don’t need a leveled set of characters, gear, or whatever? I can progress the pass well enough as a new player with starting characters? I only have the 5 Ultramarines at bare bones power so far.
You and me both. I felt that it was a bit too early for me to commit to playing the game but I wish I could have changed that! It would have made the early game much easier!
I didn't have the option but felt the same way about Yarrick nobody let you know back then that you'd need him for Cadia mirror and when the game first launched he was a must have now not so much
No, it’s definitely not. There is no pay to win here, there is simply pay to progress. I have people in my guild that haven’t paid a single penny in a year. I invest a little bit for the battlepass and monthly Blackstone (around 20 quid per month), but the enjoyment I get out of the game is worth it. It’s really up to you how you want to play.
@@DBPreacherTacticushi, sorry this might be a really silly question, but what is the difference between pay to progress and pay to win? Genuine question btw
It’s a really great question! There are a bunch of different strategies in pay to win games, those are two of them. The difference between them is: - Pay to progress: If you don’t have time to play as much as others, then you can pay to keep up with them. So for example, students may have a bit more free time to play but workers may have more disposable income to pay. - for pay to win, this is really where the game is completely built around players having to spend money to compete with each other. Usually there will be server resets and races to the top of leaderboard based on money. In tacticus, if you have two players start at the same time, one playing a lot and be paying a lot, they are roughly equal where they end up. It’s not equal exactly but more so than other games. The biggest problem is the difference between players that started a year ago and those that started now.
@@dbpreacher69 I see, thanks for answering, I started quite recently and am finding it hard to join a guild as I keep getting rejected. Can I ask, is it better to get 10 requisition scrolls at a time or use them one at a time? I understand there is a guarantee of a hero if you use 10 at once, but I'm wondering if that means that you will only get 1 per 10 (I. E. If you use the scrolls separately you might be able to get more than 1 character)
Always use ten pulls. My latest video explains a bit of the numbers behind it but it’s basically more likely for you to get characters from 10 pulls than single pulls.
Last tip I promise. If you are the super competitive type and unsure if you want to be F2P or P2P then I strongly encourage you to be P2P until you can unlock LRE without buying any bundles. Then switch to F2P. Buy a BattlePass and the monthly Blackstone(BS) bundle. With your BS, buy up to the 110 BS for energy daily. The reason I say this is because you’ll miss out on so many “Unfarmable” Legendary characters. I’ve been playing for 6 months, and spent a little over $100. I’ll hit level 39 (500k Power) in a day or two. Tacticus is the best mobile game I’ve ever played. Good luck and I’ll see yas on the TA battlefields
I wish I could finish watching this video as I am new to Tacticus (but have been playing Rivengard for over 2 years). I cannot get past just 1 minute because of the very annoying electronic voice. Have the script read by a real person and I’ll watch the video. I’m very interested in the game but cannot go through 14 minutes of this voice. Sorry.
My beginners guide talk about the order you should be levelling things and that includes ascending. Generally, yeah but not before getting up the rarity

Yeah that’s a nasty one that catches people out. I do include that in my big beginner guide but you are right I should have redone it here!

That is also a really great piece of advice!
Unfortunately the Yarrick code has an expiry date. I have the leaflet but can't unlock Yarrick
That code expired on 2024-03-31
Doesn't matter. Go for Isabella anyways.
So wish I knew this.

Great guide! Even though I’ve been playing for 2 months, there’s still useful stuff! :)
I was never offered Yarrick or Isabella D:
Thank you 🙏❤️
I also buy the equipment from the shop so I can scrap them. The Uncommon is better value than Rare. Rare gives more scraps though.

Yeah you are still in the “gold deficit” part of the game. I was stuck there until mid lvl 40 I would say
Great video as always, but I’m surprised you didn’t mention anything about daily missions to get Aethana shards
