Umm, yeah so I somehow swapped Volk and Haarken in my head. Volk obviously isn't one of the three core members of the black legion, it's Haarken I meant. I wrote this script while far too tired from work! Sorry!
You TOTALLY forgot Volks amazing best feature: his hypnotic jiggling butt cheeks :D
They need to change deathguard dmg to toxic dmg just makes sense

Im genuinely surprised to see you took Maladus to Diamond. I know he's pretty solid for LRE's and it helps that the game gives out his shards for GR so hes really easy to max.
If you have a full deathguard team in TA as well it’s pretty brutal. Although I feel a full world eater team might be the next big chaos thing

Yeah he is definitely someone that comes into his own as he levels up, especially in LRE.
Hm. My Chaos top 10 looks quite different to yours.
Volk is our best answer to the likes of Revas and Imospekh, so even if hes not the greatest, he's an important element in an all chaos Arena team.
Pushes him above Haarken for me.
Ahriman is certainly near the top. Particularly with the Forgefiend in tow. He swings in every mode. Doombolt every other turn and boosting psychic damage across the board makes a big impact.
Kharn is definitely going to make his way into the top 5, for anyone. He's the single biggest damage dealer in the game. With Ragnar and Aunshi, he's insane.
I have Maladus at legendary, with his active at around 40. I'm a massive fan of him, but his output remains lacklustre compared to others. LREs are the only places he will shine.
Corrodius is a lot better since his buff. Both his abilities are a threat and extra movement is always great.
Yazaghor makes the list for reasons other than Abraxas. His teleport has a great many uses, Neuro benefits hugely from it, for eg. But also, his damage and mobility leave enemies nowhere to hide. When you need a finisher, Yaz is one of the best. His all round utility puts real polish on a lot of comps.
Wrask might be a contender, i havent used him enough yet. But his active slaps and his shield, particularly when light targets are aplenty, can make a huge difference.
I dont know enough about Azkor yet.

I’ve had maladus since I downloaded but haven’t spent a lot to upgrade him, and he felt very underwhelming. I’m glad he is a lot better at higher levels.
Yeah for legendary events he is one of the first names on my sheet alongside rotbone

Have you played with Azkor much? I’m enjoying him at Silver 1 right now, he turns Toth into a true heavy and he’s just mobile enough that you can use his bonus multiple times on different parts of the field in the same turn if you’re careful with your movements. He’s been pulling my Chaos team up because I’m short on characters that could handle the higher damage of the last few battles of Fall of Cadia. Seems like he has value but I’m just starting to break through the silver barrier. What do you think?
No, the new world eaters outside of wrask are just too fresh for me. I don’t have time to level them up as I’m still working on my other champions! This is why I can’t properly place them all in this list
Volk is great for Guild Raids, if you don't have Maugan Ra. And as a newer player, you likely won't. Haarken on the other hand... I only find success using him against the tank. Everywhere else he's a liability.
Yeah I do hear you on Haarken, I just don’t have a good replacement yet for his movement. Maybe wrask, but then he slows down.
Amazing video! I'm surprised that neither Ahriman or Abbadon made it to the list, whereas Maladus got into the top 2 - he always seemed rather mediocre to me, like a worse angrax
Abbadon isn’t great either
Abaddon really struggles atm because he just doesn’t really bring much to the table that others do better. You want ranged? Go for a pskyer. You want tanky. Go for Toth. You want to kill yourself by pressing your active button… well ok!
Maladus is weak until he isn’t. He used to think exactly the same way as you and then I started using him more in different modes and got him levelled up a bit and he just rips stuff. He needs those levels though. However, abraxas and him were very very close for 2nd place.
@@DBPreacherTacticus Good reasoning. It's true, i always negleted my Maladus - but now i've been pushing him up for the next Ragnar LRE, so perhaps i'm biased! let's see if he can take it!
Yeah! That’s exactly what got me on the maladus boat too! I’m trying to get my wings with Ragnar and so have him at d1
Toth with rotbone combo is fun for rotbones res aktivate before toth pasive if it aktivates. Sadly choas have only 4 characters god for guild raids. But instead many of them are extremly god for guild war defens teams instead.

@@DBPreacherTacticus wel emperor childrens a se have some ranged characters when they ad them after emperor childrens get there own codex in 10ed with nu units. Blastmaster wold be fun, lucius the eternal as the Legendary character.

bhuh we have 19 chaos units. compared to 33 imperials. that means more than 50% are in top 10 :D we need more chaos characters.
haarken strikes fear and yet dude doesnt even have terrifying trait. looks like all the other characters that have that trait are more scary. his active is also wack. i would like him to supress like Asmodai. supress a target if not moved this turn. then move and attack like Ragnar does. that would make him better even in his campaign. this current active is way weaker than basic attack and doenst even do fatigue often. useless on characters. armor cant be removed from bosses..
i would switch Haarken with Yazaghor. he is decent enabler for psykers. in chaos is really good with Abraxas, Archimatos first and others situationary. has great movement, gets bonus move and attack range if setup is different

Abadon is op af as a champion hunter one one, and as a leader he is good formthe dark legión and chaos in general, the issue is that get it is lucky beyond lucky or a Lot of money but well that would be the number 1 and rotbone yes easy top 5 chaos character
He has pretty weak ultimates and there are just two better tanks than him in the team. His buffing just isn’t good enough when compared to marneus calgar, aethana or Eldryon
What about Wrask? His shield at G1 is impressive and gives all chaos around him another level of protection?
He is good but a bit too new for me to really get a feel for him! I need to play around more. Also, his place is up against angrax and haarken. I think he probably will be jumping over haarken in the places later
Volk's problem is he is too fragile he dies to a breeze of wind. I understand in the right type of comp why he would be used in GW, you just have to protect him real well. Archi is way too high imho. He is just a worse Abraxas now on all levels except melee damage. Harrken is also like Volk in his biggest weakness is his fragility.
I would replace those 3 with the non Kharn WE's. Maybe I would leave Volk at 10 instead of Wrask. Macer is what Harrken wants to be , Azkhor is gonna be massive because of his diet calgar buff. Wrask looks cool, but probably needs to gain unstoppable or else his flamer is counter intuitive to his lack of movement. Also only hitting 1 hex with his flamer is meh. He has a cool passive for PVP though i will give him that.
Its real early, and you said he will move up, so I understand why you ranked Kharn where you did, but to me, he should be no lower than #3.

I just can’t talk too much about the world eaters because they are too new for me to really get. Kharn actually wasn’t even released when I did the original script for this vid and I wrote him in after seeing a bit of him in the last TA.
Let’s see how the late summer top ten shapes up! We will have a much clearer picture by then!

You're right. Wrask need unstoppable
Volk is not a core member of the Black Legion. Angrax, Haarken, and Archi are. Your number ten pick is terrible. The guy I left behind because he couldn’t hide in the elite campaigns.
And Angrax doesn’t hit people who walk into his range. Only the ones who run. It does up his damage when he moves adjacent though. It’s the best when Revas retreats, takes a hit, and then gets attacked again for extra damage.
Yeah I pinned my comment on Volk. I don’t know what I was thinking there. Somehow I got him mixed with haarken. I would now swop yazaghor for Volk. Expect changes.

I'm not sure why Toth is so highly rated. He does very little damage unless he is in the diamond range. At gold 1 he is almost useless. Sure he's OK if buffed with Abraxas but compared to Kharn?
He’s a tank and a survivor. I group the characters up into their different classes and then rate them against each other. So Toth is being rated against maladus, abaddon etc. Then I do an overall rating.
For Kharn, he will move up in the summer top ten if he isn’t nerfed but I just didn’t have enough experience with him as he was so new. I actually had this whole script written prior to him even being released, then when I got a glimpse of his power, I added him in but lower until we understand his flexibility.
Remember, this list is not about the top ten damaging characters as well… it’s the top ten most flexible and Toth works in all modes very well except guild wars (I actually use him a lot in my main arena team).
how does one put typhus above angrax ._. hard disagree on that one
Firstly, they are different categories. Typhus is a spell caster, angrax is a helldiver. They aren’t competing directly against each other. Secondly, this is the most versatile champs. Angrax works in LRE and onslaught and actually has minus points from guild wars as he is a bad pick for defence. Typhus works in nearly all places.
How is volk better than Wrask? Wrask can basically heal all nearby chaos allies. And volk just... does damage
As I say at the end, the new World Eaters are too new to properly get a feel for them, and this is a series that will be continuing so I give myself room for improvements later. However, Volk and Wrask are not comparable. I split the troops up into their archetypes. Wrask is up against haarken, angrax etc

Honestly, Haarken is nowhere close to top 10 in my opinion. He is super squishy and world eaters knock him out of his spot with ease. I would even put Macer (who I only have at S1 so far) above Haarken. Certainly Wrask and Toothy. His only redemption is that he’s needed for campaigns.
I think so too, but the world eaters just are too new for me to really understand them. That’s why this is the spring edition and the summer one may be a bit more world eatery 😂

@@DBPreacherTacticus hahah nice. Although it’s hard to come up with a top 10 bc it’s all debatable and argumentative. However, I do believe yazaghor deserves a spot in the top 10. He shines mostly in GR, campaign and every chaos quest event. He‘s A tier in TA and GW IF he’s with abraxas other than that if he’s alone then it’s more like F tier… LRE he’s F tier. His movement is crazy and even though he’s squishy, he’s actually one of the last to die unless someone like noble can get to him.
I guess I need to invest some more time in yazaghor!

It’s a fair comment. I think there is just a struggle to replace him with another psyker though. It seems like people are voting for Ahriman. Who would you replace him with?
