The Ghosts are the most elite of all these here, with Scout Sergeant Mkoll being the stealthiest/scariest person in the regiment. He could sneak up on Sly Marbo and leave a message on his face with a marker with only figuring it out after he saw his reflection.
Gaunts Ghost are considered elite troops in the current books. They are designated the personal troops of Gaunt when he is elevated to Macrons right hand man in the latest book. They also have a super elite squad that guards a VIP in two books and they are called the Suiside kings
What if the Emperor wasn’t able to reach Nuceria in time to prevent Angron dying from the High Riders? How would having one less available Primarch affect the heresy with more lopsided sides?
The induction to the Catachan Devils involves taking 6 shots from a revolver to the abs. While i like the Tanith 1st I've always thought Abnett gave them a bit too much plot armor or armour.
The ambush had a bunch of plot armor but they definitely used the right kit to get the job done. A satchel charge, a power sword, a hotshot las and a pile of civillian warm bodies to act as bullet magnets. The chaos marines were more interested in KDR than eliminating the real threat.
as they say in the military, 'quality over quantity, but quantity has a quality to itself'. means when you get to a 100vs1, the quality of the 100 doesnt matter as much. guardsmen dont come close to the skills and abilities of a space marine. but you get enough of them together.....
Fun fact about the Kreig. While they were inspired by the WW1 Germany army, the Kreig Grenadiers were inspired by German WW1 Stormtroopers. Storm troopers were invited by the Germans to help breakthrough trenches. They would handpick people based on their independence, aggression and a few other merits, then will give them a shit ton of grenades and close quarter guns. Then when a charge on an enemy trench is planed, they would use artillery and as the artillery is calming down, these small number of storm trooper would charge in like mad men and do solo missions disrupting and and causing chaos in enemy trenches and often trying to penetrate deep behind enemy lines, while the main German infantry would eventually be sent over the top to attack those trenches. By the time the Germans got the trenches, it was easy to capture as the Stormtroopers had inflicted enough casualties and chaos in advance. Due to how mad lad the missions were for Storm Troopers their casualties were also higher than average.
I'd like to point out Oan Mkoll being the most OP ghost in the Tanith First and Only. The chaos space marines were just appetizers. His kills alone are insane.
You make some really wicked mini's. Gonna get me some non game specific Egyptian Robots from your store. Would luv something almost exactly like the Transcendent C'tan but cooler....
This was a fun video, but it also reminded me of how much I can enjoy when someone...tinkers...wirh Guardsmen, trying to make "superior" soldiers, since there are often built-in cap reasons why the Astartes are in limited supply. Some of them are cool, if not overly dangerous, Luke the Gland Warriors, while others are a bit more cool, but defective, Luke the terrifying Afriel Strain, where legendary officers were cloned, hoping to make whole battalions of enhanced field troops...because that's where officer clones belong, and even the galaxy said nope, and cursed all of them.
On the tabletop i play Vostroyans, and kitbashed my own Stormtroopers to fit the regiment. They lore wise basicly serve as Bodyguard units to high rankin officers and priests.
I wish they would add more regiments that give homage to historical units such as winged hussars (maybe a tank division or shock troops), Tuetonic knights heavy infantry, Gurkahs, or more love to the fleets such as Elite corsair units under the leadership of Drake, Turtle warship with Admiral Yi, Basiliks Artillery devastating enemies under the command of Napoleon/Old guard etc
I was crawling round Tully in the 90 with the army. Looking for “nids” and cultist. My paratrooper mate has a space wolves tat on his gym gun. He never yelled Guard commands. But we did yell “for the Emperor” every time we charged. O what fun.
Kind of want see a game revolved around one of these elite guardsman. That and few games based on playing as one of the other races special forces. Maybe even getting to explore the imperial palace where the god emperor resides.
The "simplest" way to increase the power of the Imperium would be to improve the equipment and training of the Standard Guardsman. Oh and for the basic signs of Gene cult infestation to be part of basic school education.
they probably dont increase the effectiveness of standard unit equipment for 2 reasons 1. cost of changing logistic systems 2. most of the time the guardsmen are fighting traitorous humans. By giving everyone better gear you will be upgrading future enemies. They reserve better gear for soldiers that have a higher likelihood of remaining loyal as for genestealers... yes. one rule drilled into everyone from day one "Bald is bad". Put some kind of gene therapy for male pattern baldness in the corpse paste food, outlaw bald as a hairstyle and problem solved, outside of some incredibly degenerate worlds/ underhives.
Don’t know if these guys count since they are from 30k but the solar axulia are definitely elite as they were insane they even took on a company of word bearers and won

Would really appreciate if you did a lore video about navy breachers, they don’t seem to have any, thank you and have a great day!
Seconded
major skill
Just got my calendar a couple days ago. 11/10 would DEFINITELY buy again 👍
The chaos marines were more interested in KDR than eliminating the real threat.
as they say in the military, 'quality over quantity, but quantity has a quality to itself'. means when you get to a 100vs1, the quality of the 100 doesnt matter as much. guardsmen dont come
close to the skills and abilities of a space marine. but you get enough of them together.....
Egyptian Space Robots... that could be anyone!
*sniff sniff* Gaunt's Ghosts. Good stuff, sir.
Day 37: What if Omegon returned to the setting. What would happen?, how would Guilliman and The Lion react?. Would be a pretty cool video idea.
On the tabletop i play Vostroyans, and kitbashed my own Stormtroopers to fit the regiment. They lore wise basicly serve as Bodyguard units to high rankin officers and priests.
To be fair, if I could hear more about literally anything other than space Marines, id be pretty happy
Let me tell your about the female space marines then
These guys are pretty crazy considering how much better guardsman are to normal PDF forces. They’re comparable to our special forces
A "What if" video with no Space Marines and just the other Imperial factions and how much progress they could make would be a neat follow up to this.
He ardy did that 2 years ago
@@UgandanSonic really? Man man, I gotta go looking through the backlog mire

A video about the military forces of the Mechanicus/Mechanicum/Dark Mechanicum would be cool
Majorkill is the dark emperor of the warp
I was crawling round Tully in the 90 with the army. Looking for “nids” and cultist. My paratrooper mate has a space wolves tat on his gym gun. He never yelled Guard commands. But we did yell “for the Emperor” every time we charged. O what fun.
I love the look of Tempestus Scion's armor.
Scout Sergeant Mkoll is genuinely space marine tier, the Tanith 1st and only are my eternal goats
Grenadiers goes back as watchmasters afterwards bc they often has all the experience needed to command and advice a squad.
The geno 5-2 will always be the ones who shined the brightest in legion
Can we get a video on the impact of the solar auxilia on the Horus Heresy?
Kind of want see a game revolved around one of these elite guardsman. That and few games based on playing as one of the other races special forces. Maybe even getting to explore the imperial palace where the god emperor resides.
A Space Marine 2-like game where you play as a Lucifer Black would be awesome
The Elysian Drop Troopers would like a word with you about what an elite guard regiment actually is
Thank you for including Gaunt's Ghosts. I woulfvr complained if you didnt, lol
A video on special penitent crusades would be awesome
Gaunts Ghost during the chaos marine ambush were like: call an ambulance, but not for me!
Mkoll is literally so OP it is insane
The "simplest" way to increase the power of the Imperium would be to improve the equipment and training of the Standard Guardsman.
Oh and for the basic signs of Gene cult infestation to be part of basic school education.
they probably dont increase the effectiveness of standard unit equipment for 2 reasons
1. cost of changing logistic systems
2. most of the time the guardsmen are fighting traitorous humans. By giving everyone better gear you will be upgrading future enemies. They reserve better gear for soldiers that have a higher likelihood of remaining loyal
as for genestealers... yes. one rule drilled into everyone from day one "Bald is bad". Put some kind of gene therapy for male pattern baldness in the corpse paste food, outlaw bald as a hairstyle and problem solved, outside of some incredibly degenerate worlds/ underhives.
Not an option, constant ever escalating wars prevent that.

Video idea: Scholar progenium explained
Don’t know if these guys count since they are from 30k but the solar axulia are definitely elite as they were insane they even took on a company of word bearers and won
Gaunt and his ghosts are absolutely mad lads, I'm reading the books right now, they get a lot of shit from more pristine guardsmen but they prove their metal over and over.
Lucifer Blacks have some Dark Age of Technology tech in their arsenal thats why they re so fucking OP.
Hello Majorkill,
Would you kindly make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy? Pretty please? Thank you.
I feel like he shouldve mentioned some more feats, some Stormtroopers (the scion ones) are capable of impressing Space Marines with their skills and reliability, and i'm pretty sure there's a wiki page on another scion crew that somehow dug in and attritioned a Necron tomb to death.
Yeah, 34 Psian Vipers blew up necron tomb world on their own. Although to be fair, as far as i can judge, they stormed that tomb in a regiment strong formation, which is like 5-20 k. Scions, which is a VERY formidable force

Dude we need a video on ork vehicles
7:30 :DDDDDDDDD thats why i love majorkill
Would be keen to see a video on the imperial palace, no ones really done one!
