On the subject of stolen geneseed: that method is not only exclusive to death guard but other tratiors too. The difference, though, is A: DG still had all their apothecaries/plague surgeons to still harvest GS expertly while the other traitor legions had to improvise and/or ask Fabius for assistance and B: it's likely since most of the DG recruits already have a portion of Nurglings blessings/numbness to pain. Theirs chances of surviving the implantion process drastically increased.

@@Drakona860 fair…but it is slightly oversimplified. While Fulgrim himself fell for silly and straight up contradictory reasons, his legions fall was very tragic and it actually felt pretty realistic how the pursuit of perfection and martial honor lead to the corruption. For the death guard not only did their primarch fall for stupid reasons but they did too. Escpicially the marines from Barberus who have literally become psycher necromancer tyrants after spending a whole bunch of time moralizing over how evil tyrants are and how bad their time was. At the very least the emperors children kept the general character traits of their Legion being perfectionists and haughty. The death guard lost everything about themselves

    Here's some to consider:
What if all of the Primarchs (save Alpharius because he landed on Terra) somehow died before the Imperium discovered them? (Assume that Vulkan was never found by the Imperium, maybe he was lost in the Warp, maybe the DE got a hold of him, maybe he’s in Trazyn’s galleries, etc). The important thing is, what if no Primarchs?
If any one Loyalist and Traitor Primarch switched sides for the Horus Heresy, who would you choose for the best outcome for either the Loyalists, or the Traitors?
What if the Silent King never got rid of his Command Protocols and took (almost) all the Necrons with him out of the galaxy to perhaps find a new and better one and come across the Tyranids?
What if the Great Crusade had all the Primarchs and none turned Traitor, but there were no Astartes?
What if the Beast Orks succeeded in defeating the Imperium?
What if the Raptor Project succeeded/was never sabotaged?
How would each Heresy/Crusade-era Primarch and Legion fare against the modern Tau Empire?

Vulcan basically told Magnus that the whole offer for redemption/new legion from the Big E never happened. Seems it was a hallucination by Magnus, or I suspect it stemmed from Tzeentch as the final push to get the Crimson King to go all the way. That being said, it could be fun to imagine this new legion in both scenarios. One where Emps did indeed make and follow through with the offer. Another where it was indeed a Tzeentch fabrication and Magnus' new legion is power armor clad Chaos spawn on some such.

'He tied himself to the mast while he still could. He could never have given you the agony, only the cure. There was a decision, but it was not when you think it was. The moment of crisis was on Ynyx, when he could have had Typhus slain, but only said I seek the truth. That was the crux. The powers were listening, and all then unfolded as it had to.'
'But I was with him. The whole time. I saw his doubts - he didn't know what was happening. None of us did.'
'You are right. He didn't. He never knew how, or at what time, or in what way. He only required one revelation - that Typhus was the vector. Let him in, then do whatever you wish, in whatever way seems apt to you - the god will take care of the rest.'
Mortarion knew that Typhon was screwing with the Warp. Morty could've stopped him but he wanted it to play out. Mortarion; The biggest hypocrite in 30k.

  • @cesarerinaldi6750

    🟢⚪
Carcharodons for Nurgle, with Rotigus Rainfather?
There was once a Keeper of Secrets who annihilated an Eldar Craftworld by possessing a vulnerable Avatar of Khaine.
How devastating would it be if he gets possessed by a Great Unclean One?
A serious critique of Nurgle's forces: large, massive, plagued/poisonous bodies but more harder and less rotten.
    Is this logical enough?
Loyalist Mortarion, who with discipline and determination used his psychic power to destroy the Necromancers and liberate his world, then commanding the harsh Librarians of his tough Death Guard.
Traitor Typhon, who used his poisonous psychic power to corrupt his companions and escape in his plagued ship, vowing vengeance in Nurgle's name against the uncorrupted Pale King of Barbarus.
    Well?
Remove their cannibalism, leave them with bones/bone ash, and Mortifactors become great (even as the replacement for the XIV Legion).
Let's imagine that Lorgar, Angron and Horus are Loyalists (according to my version), could Alpharius and Omegon be the new Daemons Primarchs of Nurgle?
(Example the seven-headed Plague Hydras, who live in poisonous Swamp Planets, Jungle Planets and Ocean Planets, corrupted by Rotigus Rainfather for the God of Death, the monster's immortality as a glorious symbol of the eternal Cycle of Rebirth)

The Scythes of the Emperor, the Mortifactors and the Doom Eagles.
Which of the three is worthy of being the new XIV Legion?
One thing that makes me think of the Scythes of the Emperor as the new XIV Legion are the Nurgle Tyranids, Genestealers and Hexwraiths (because of their symbol).
      Do you agree?

    • @cesarerinaldi6750
      @cesarerinaldi6750 9 дней назад +1

Genghis Khan was the symbol of Life and Death.
Thus Jaghatai Khan also becomes the symbol of Life and Death (for his tragic poisonous and plagued corruption).
As Daemon Primarch of Nurgle he changes his title from Warhawk to Deathhawk!
      ⚪🟢
Wood, the true element of Nurgle's weapons and bodies!
Jaghatai Khan and White Scars as Nurgle's Legion, with poisonous wooden skeletons and thorns, bringers of the plague storm (with Rotigus Rainfather at their side).
After each hunt and victory they dip the skulls in poison, in honor of Nurgle.
(They symbolize the more natural side of the God of Death)

Does the lore say anything about any Deathguard that chose not to serve Nurgle when they were infected? Everything I have heard was that Mortarian made his choice, and all his sons turned to plague marines. Did they not have a choice on their own end to choose to serve Nurgle or not? I know it would be rare, but basically all the traitor legions had a few individuals that were incorruptible.

I was a really big fan of the loyalist death guard because not only did they stick to their honor and whether the blows of both sides, they did it knowing the only path left was death. Like the dreadnought holding his captain…sad story but it shows that the legion as a whole cared very much for each other. Honestly if Typhon wasn’t a burgle simp I think the DG would have been converted back to the Loyalist side.

yo, Majorkill I have a wonder, so I'm reading the first heretic and I'm wondering if maybe Lorgah is still loyal to the emperor but in a really messed up way, so he sacrificed Argel Tal and Xephan to the eye of terror and he still went into the eye himself afterwards and it's mentioned that his legion had multiple nightmares suggesting they saw the Tyrannids, also Ingalthel mentioned if humanity didn't accept the warp gods then they would die to the hands of aliens, while there's probably a small truthg to that it likely wouldn't have bee the full truth, but I'm wondering since by that point Lorgah knew his legion was loyal to him beyond all else, he could tell them all to jump of a cliff and they'd do it out of love for their father, so become warp infested monster, sure no probs dad. so what if Lorgah used this foreknowledge to begin the plans for the heresy (got a little twisted along the way) and his main goal was to save the imperium, the ee let him explore time and possibly multiple futures he may have seen one where the crusades end, the Emperor dispatches the Primarchs and Astartes that are useless to him and keeps Guliman the Lion and Dorn around, maybe Russ as well, be he just saunders off Magnus becomes a battery, and then 10,000 years later the Necrons awake, an imperium that has spent 10,00 years at peace, while unified is likely weaker than one that has spent it at war, then the Tyranids, so what if Lorgar realised the only way to save the imperium was so betray his father, could it be possible the next primarch to return to the imperium will be a redeemed traitor daemon prince now ready to return and help heal his father and save the imperium given that all threats are now present.

Typhus is just as bad as Erebus, also quite ironic that he chose Nurgle. There was one roleswap AU where Mortarion didn't become traitor because Garro became his right hand and not Typhus.

Majorkill. Some people actually believe Leman Russ can actually kill the Lion based on him mentioning who he can kill in a book,
I fully believe the Lion would win. What's your opinion?

I kind of feel like .. literally none of the traitor primarchs who became daemon princes really came to not regretimg submitting to Chaos in the end. Particularly i guess for Angron, Mortarion, Magnus & Lorgar who became daemon princes but were never favoured with members of their own legion being more favoured than they were Kharn & Typhos ect.
