Hey, man!
I realized just now that I watch all your vids when they pop up but never comment and that’s not right at all, because your work is, quite literally, otherworldly. As an artist, I love when I see someone’s work that is clearly better than mine, but not at a level I can’t reach one day with more practice. It’s motivating.
Your stuff….is not that.
When I see your finished products, without fail, I genuinely throw my hands up in happy/angry disbelief, usually thinking, “This guy’s not fuckin’ human!!!” Luckily I’m not a sculptor or it would just straight up depress me how godlike you are and I’d have to find a new medium. As an illustrator and lover of uber-detailed, monstrous or sinister cosmic and hellish abominations, I can thankfully always say, “Well, thank God I’m not a sculptor and I’m not competing against this guy. I pity those who are.” Your creations are awe-inspiring and transportive. I’d pay handsomely for a game with art design by you in a heartbeat. Also, I know you love the iD shooters, but I feel like you must dig the Darksiders game series, at least art-wise, as well and I’m dure you’re aware of the upcoming game that’s been in development forever called Scorn. It makes me think of your stuff.
Keep making your gorgeously horrific work, man. For someone like me, who loves drawing creatures and places and devices with lots of detail and who has seen and enjoyed the work of most of the sci-fi and horror greats I believe, I still find yours incomprehensible.
Okay, that’s enough metaphorical fellatio. It IS all true, though. I’m just a long-time silent follower who realized he should probably break that silence and tell you your stuff utterly rules the cosmos.
Be well!
Thank you! Really appreciate your comment. I believe in showing all aspects of my work to help others learn and move up. I got lots of help in my career from other artists showing me their methods and secrets.
I picked up the $30 scotch laminating machine off amazon & pulled the top off it for more room / visibility. Starting with passing the bare stainless sheet through a few times to heat it up, then passing the toner paper & stainless sheet through 10 - 15 times produces a perfect no effort transfer. Just wear cotton gloves or a have a rag as the piece will be hot while you keep passing it through the machine.
Getting CR Geiger vibes from those. Love it.
And I just checked your channel... Subscribed. 😂
so do you print on the film, and then transfer it to the stainless somehow? how does that work?
getting cybertruck and looking for ways to decorate it with some crazy designs. wondering if this method might work on vertical areas
You will have issues, unless you can immerse that part in ferric chloride.
Beautiful!!!
Does this method work on aluminum?
Do you have line art versions of that art available for sale? I don’t see it on your website.
Why no mention of H.R. Giger the artist ?
Does this work in all types of steel or just stainless?
i'd rub some ink on the surface and wipe it off, would fill the gaps and add contrast
