BROOM STICK HACK: Home depot (or any other hardware store) usually has collapsable painters sticks for rolling paint. Grab one and put the broom head on it. When in use, expand the stick to desired height and when not in use, collapse it and put it away.
Walmart and Amazon sell brooms with collapsible handles. Not as fun as sawing off a broom handle though! And dollartree sells their brooms in two parts with screw in handle. The pole might fit somewhere if separated from the broom.
Hi. I’m a senior, female lifelong Oregonian and it was so heartening to watch you enjoy all the beauty of our coastline. Sometimes we take for granted what is right in front of us. Enjoy your lighthouse journey.
I LOVE the extended episodes. When you add the shopping and cooking bits to the videos, it makes me feel like I'm more a part of things and that you are doing real life and not just site-seeing. Such a good video!
Forgive me guys, once my Julie was diagnoised in 10/2022 we didn't follow you as much, like every week, we would curl up with blankets and a snack and watch and laugh. So now that my Julie is gone, I don't know which way it up, you now? So, tonight, I stublmed on this episode and as hard as it was to watch it, alone, these last almost 6 months now has been harsh and yet this episode made me feel, whole again...just for a few min.....and I will take it. From Michigan to Florida now Illinois! Ugh. Take care and God bless. Mike Flynn
Extended episodes should be mandatory……because it’s never enough !!!! Marc mentioned recovering from his leveling addiction, well there is no recovery for KYD addiction ❤ Blessings
Mark and Trish, I bet these longer episodes are more work for you guys, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate both of you. You guys are a ray of sunshine every week. The news cycles lately and everything going on in this world, tuning into KYD once a week is literally therapeutic. Also, because of you guys, we're on our second season rv'ing with our kids. So... thank you, thank you both so much. Love you guys!
Your videos never disappoint and this one is no different! Thank you Marc and Trish for all of your hard work in making these videos for our viewing pleasure.
Without exagerating, I must have watched 25 videos of the Oregon coast, but absolutely no one does them as well as you two!!! You have a knack for making things interesting and your videography is second to none!!! I take my hat off to you for pulling off a U-turn in front of the 5 Marias' cafe. I thought only an F-450 could pull off that trick. Much respect!!! I live in Cathlamet, WA and I will bewatching next week for sure!!!
Please feel free to post as many "extended videos" as you possibly can! I ADORE your channel! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. I am confidently certain that I will never in my lifetime get to see the places you visit so getting to ride along with y'all means more to me than you could possibly know. Thank you! May God bless your travels with His guidance and safety!
We have the exact same broom in our Airstream. I shortened the green steel handle with a pipe cutter; nice burr-free cut (rolled edges). Not too short; just enough to stand in the hanging closet. We love our broom!
Right now we can't RV due to my husband's illness, so your videos are my travel ticket--funny, scenic, creative, entertaining. Thanks for taking me along. Love the extended versions, and Charlie...
This is our neck of the woods! We camp at and play on the Oregon Dunes twice a year, my husband grew up spending his summers on his grandparents ranch in Fort Jones and the Oregon Coast is where we take our RV for weekend getaways! We hope you loved your time here as much as we love living here!
Just wanted to chime in and say thank you. We just finished our first 2 week travel trailer trip and used a lot of your tips and tricks we have learned from watching your channel. Purchased a new F250 super duty. Tows much better then our old F150 Back up camera Correct Tire pressure for all tires Walkie talkies Generator large enough to run air while boondocking Tow mode both for truck and me Walk around the trailer every stop Relax while at the dump station Relax while hitching up and down and do it in exact order. And many more. We had a safe, relaxing fun vacation while being a trail angel for our son hiking the PCT SOBO in the sierras.
I've been waiting for this episode! I live in North Bend, and I must say your route looks like you're missing my favorite part from the southern border up to Bandon. Beautiful drive with tons of hiking trails and great food. Hope you're having fun in my native land. Keep it up, KYD!
We love your extended videos and multi part specials like the cycling ones. Keep them coming ! I also love the recipe thrown in there. And the spontaneity this year is great - showing us we don’t have to make every detail planned out and to just go with the flow. ❤
I've been watching your videos for several months because I recognized Marc from middle school in Scottsdale. I just wanted to leave a comment to say how incredibly happy it makes me to see what a wonderful life you've made for yourself! You and Trish are so good together and have made a beautiful family and life together! I love watching your videos and I always look forward to seeing more of your adventures!
I LOVE these extended videos with all these real life travel adventures. And can I just say please please please keep including the cooking segments . Trish's cooking is the healthiest and I absolutely love all her dishes!
Live a hour from the Oregon Coast. Can never get enough of it, well besides on the days its super windy! Newport is the nearest coastal town I always stop in. Love seeing other people enjoying it and showcasing it!
We have watched you guys since the beginning. From where you started to this beautiful journey you just shared is a different world of sharing the experience. Loved everything about this episode. The visuals and the music with a great balance of narration. Well done.
Really enjoyed your show tonight. We are sitting on Vancouver Island at Surf Grove Campground enjoying Island life! We can relate to the empty nesters life so enjoyable! Blessings Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
This was amazing. I think the tide pools may be more interesting than an aquarium. I liked Crater Lake when I was there but the coast highway and lighthouses are beautiful. Yall stay safe
Oh this was so good. I am living vicariously through you right now. We sold our rig and will eventually buy another but for now this is enough. I will head over and get started on the Instagram as well. We love you guys. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
Another fun video - thank you! My husband and I are retired and traveling semi-fulltime. Our home base is still in PA. We have 5 grown kids living across the country (plus 10 grandkids). I just love this video of life with "just the two" of you. Traveling with an empty nest/Airstream can be as exciting as traveling with kids, but a bit more romantic. 😀
Loved this wk with KYD. I have a Costco 5 Mary's cookbook from several years ago. It'd be a real treat to eat there in person. Loved all the OR scenic views & rugged mountain scenery. Think we'll have to head up the CA coast from the Monterey Peninsula area to visit the OR coast & lighthouses along with a detour to visit our youngest grandson who's enjoying his 1st yr at OR State. Can't wait for next wk & your Tillamook tour. It's been too many years since we've been there. Hope you enjoy the scrumptious treats they share with their visitors (at least that's what they did when we were there❤.)
Next time shop at the Safeway on Williams Hwy ... Welcome back to Grants Pass. We love having you here and enjoy spending our Sunday evening with you guys no matter what you're up to. Safe travels, smooth roads & great wifi.
That is a huge YES!! to the extended episodes with cooking!!!! Love it! We loved our trip to the Oregon coast & loved revisiting it with you! Thanks!!!
I would watch your videos no matter how long they were! I love everything about them! Your camping, your kids, Charlie, your cooking, your gadgets and a bonus that we also have an Airstream!
Love your extended videos! Can’t get too much of a good thing. The Oregon coast is so beautiful. Can’t wait to try your quinoa veggie dish. Looks delicious ❤
Can't go wrong with extended episodes on the Oregon Coast. It's so beautiful. Manzanita is my very favorite town on the coast. Love the tidepools too. So fascinating!
My life in my RV suffered a major setback on day 1 Mother's Day 2024, why in route to my first camping destination someone ran a stop sign as I approached the intersection resulting in me T-boning them. My RV continues to be in the shop for repairs which leaves me longing for the on the road adventures that you make seem so appealing. Also trying to get my channel off the ground without an RV or travel is proving very challenging. So I wanted to take the time to say thank you both for doing your videos, they provide a means to live vicariously through you while I continue to wait for the return of my RV. Travel safely guys and keep rolling that wonderful content.
So been looking forward to these episodes. Spent 14 years in Central Oregon and greatly missing it. Your trip is bringing back warm fuzzies! Safe travels!
Loved this video! You were both so relaxed, having fun, and just enjoying the ride. That Oregon coastline is breathtakingly beautiful - so easy on the eyes. Hope you're doing well. Safe travels!
Like a lot of young adults, I had a lot of "trial flights" after I graduated from high school and began transitioning to living independently. Which is how I came to find myself, at age 22, in 1976, hitchhiking from my SoCal home, w/my backpack and dog, ostensibly headed for Alaska's North Slope, where the Alaska Pipeline was starting to finish up and there were a lot of "clean up" jobs for low skills workers. I had been slowly and casually meandering north thru California, saying good bye in my heart, knowing it was unlikely I would ever return for any length of time...the north was calling me, hard. On a gorgeous mid-September day I had caught a ride w/a trucker who picked me up in Susanville, CA and dropped me off in Yreka, CA in the late afternoon. My plan was to continue north on 1-5 to Eugene, then head west to visit friends in Bandon, on the Oregon coast. Seems fate had other plans for me. By the time I finally got a ride, it was nearly sunset. A woman in a little sports car stopped for me, asked me where I was going and then when I told her, she said she was going west but could give me a place to stay for the night and would drive me back to the freeway the next morning. I accepted her offer, which is how I came to discover the Scott Valley and Fort Jones, a truly hidden diamond of an area in Northern California. I was so entranced with the people I met and the beauty of the area that I ended up staying 3 days instead of overnight, and actually considered abandoning my plan to go to Alaska and just make the area my new home. I never did make it to Alaska, stopped in Washington to visit an old flame, we rekindled the flame, and HE went to Alaska 2 years later, while I stayed behind to concentrate on building what I hoped would be a career in architecture. I ended up living in Puget Sound for 37 years before moving to Idaho in 2013 to care for my terminally ill mother, and while Western Washington will always and forever be my heart's home, those 3 days I spent in the Scott Valley are still with me, almost 50 years later. I am 70 now and once my family obligations here in Idaho are fulfilled, I plan to retire and move someplace, any place, other than Idaho. The Scott Valley is on my shortlist. I am SO glad you two took that 45 minute detour to discover it for yourselves, I can't begin to tell you how nostalgic it was to see Fort Jones again, doesn't really look like it's grown or changed that much since I was there in 1976. BTW, did you learn while you were there that the area is famous for it's soapstone mines? Chiming in with other fans of the longer format videos...more please!
The longer episodes. What .. Love watching KYD .there always fun to watch. It didn't seem long enough ever. I am always surprised when it ends. Makes ya ready for the next episode.
I was so excited when I saw Fort Jones, CA on your map and then to get to see it included in the video was wonderful! I grew there and always will have a special love for it. If you are ever back there take time and go to the Marble Mt Wilderness Area....it is beautiful. Thanks for all of your travel videos...I have seen parts of the USA that I will never get to. God bless you both.
Love the extended episodes, and it's a great diversion when I just want to be calm, enjoy music and laughter(the Broom) with some good friends I have never met! I miss the great camping trips I took with my hubs and although we have hung up our RV keys it's never not a great time to go explore your world because it's a precious opportunity not to be taken for granted! Safe travels!
38:17 - the look of wonder, pure and complete happiness. Love the longer videos, not that the shorter ones were bad. I just get to lose myself for a few minutes longer - thank you!
As always..... lovely fantastic time viewing your shared couplehood, memory making, time traveling Rv'g video slots! This particular one was, as they say, 'top shelf', along with wonderful Trish's natural mouthwatering delectable dishes, best of both worlds....💯💌
We love sharing our Sundays watching you as well....ty to your Family we're enjoying the ride... and of course the great scenery you bring to us! Safe travels M/T
Well, I guess we’ll forgive you for showing off our beautiful coastline. You did it justice for sure. We live in the valley and camp at the coast every chance we get. Looking forward to watching Trish’s cooking show!
Yes really enjoyed this extended episode and will start watching “Where is Trish cooking”. Thank you for sharing all your travel experiences. Look forward to seeing what is next every Sunday!
It has been a while since I watched. Life is crazy busy. This week particularly full or stuff and things. When your email reminder popped up on my phone I thought “I can listen while I fold laundry.” It was so peaceful. Thank you for sharing your adventures. May your journey been filled with places to stay that refresh your soul and sooth your minds. We appreciate you!
Marc and Trish your photography skills are Top Notch ! Thanks for taking along for the ride ! Sending greetings from the Alferez Family ! Keep up the Great work! ❤️😎🙏🏽💫
We just got home from the Oregon Coast TODAY !!!! I saw this when I checked to see what videos I’d missed, so I had to watch. 🤠👍🥹 We loved the coast!!❤
Just discovered this channel, I’m sold. You two are hilarious together, you have a spark that’s just amazing to watch. Looking forward to the next episode!!
I've done this trip, on most of the same roads, on a motorcycle. Tent on the back, small blanket roll, and no time limit. Excruciatingly beautiful ride, and even though I've done it myself, I'm still jealous of you guys.
As longtime viewers, we definitely like the longer format. As fellow empty-nesters, we're wondering if Mark is developing a bit of a gadget obsession these days...I mean, that's ok - but it is amusing watching Trish attempt to be as excited as Mark when he's explaining the finer points of the latest gadget he's bought. It makes us laugh. You guys continue to be amazing - thanks for all you do. :)
I love the extended episodes. I can never get enough KYD. No episode could be too long in my opinion!
The 41 minutes went by fast.
Totally agree

MAHA MAGA
Where do I find the Chicken, Quinoa, vegetables and red pepper sauce recipe? Oh it had avocado as well. It looked delicious. Thx.
I LOVE the extended episodes. When you add the shopping and cooking bits to the videos, it makes me feel like I'm more a part of things and that you are doing real life and not just site-seeing. Such a good video!
Watching your content seems to have become how i finish my weekends lately. Thanks for bringing us along i enjoy the beautiful views.
Same here. These videos are my Sunday evening wind down.

Ditto and ditto on the blessings.
Yes, extended episodes with a dash of cooking thrown in! Never get enough KYD
agreed!
I know it can’t happen every week but a 40 min episode is perfect!!! ❤
I concur!!
Love the 40 minutes of happiness and relaxation. Its a nice break from reality.
Really love these longer episodes they don't feel rushed. 👍🏼🍻

Marc in the Safeway segment, I laughed out loud. Love it!
We loved Airstreaming the Oregon Coast. Thanks for taking us along so we could reminisce! 💙🩵
GREAT video. Love the extended episodes. If you did 90 mins I’d be glued til the very end. ❤❤❤
Just wanted to chime in and say thank you. We just finished our first 2 week travel trailer trip and used a lot of your tips and tricks we have learned from watching your channel.
Purchased a new F250 super duty. Tows much better then our old F150
Back up camera
Correct Tire pressure for all tires
Walkie talkies
Generator large enough to run air while boondocking
Tow mode both for truck and me
Walk around the trailer every stop
Relax while at the dump station
Relax while hitching up and down and do it in exact order.
And many more.

Thank you for the extended episode. Looking forward to cooking with Trish on Wednesday 😊
I love these episodes with you two just rambling around the country! It’s also fun because I’ve RV’d in a lot of the same places!
I enjoyed every extended minute. Thanks for providing content that is wholesome and entertaining. This is a great way to end a weekend.
I don’t know why, but this episode was very calming and I needed it. Thank you for sharing your days.
I know it’s a lot of work and you guys put your managers put together. Tremendous videos about 45 minutes just so perfect.
I've been waiting for this episode! I live in North Bend, and I must say your route looks like you're missing my favorite part from the southern border up to Bandon. Beautiful drive with tons of hiking trails and great food. Hope you're having fun in my native land. Keep it up, KYD!
I thought the same thing! I love Bandon.
Port Orford is beautiful. Nice walk up by the old coast guard station there. Also partial to Cape Blanco SP
I love the extended episodes 😊 have a safe trip.
Wait a second…..Mark can’t have a broom, but Trish has a zested, juicer, immersion blender, Ninja Bullet……..
Yes, those are really mine too!
Marc likes to eat delicious food!
Love the extended episodes. Also foodies. Can't wait for more!
@@KeepYourDaydreamninja is definitely yours 😂
What shapes are those? And what shape is this particular broom?
We love your extended videos and multi part specials like the cycling ones. Keep them coming ! I also love the recipe thrown in there. And the spontaneity this year is great - showing us we don’t have to make every detail planned out and to just go with the flow. ❤
I've been watching your videos for several months because I recognized Marc from middle school in Scottsdale. Mark and Trish, thank you for what you two do. Because of what you do I bought a travel trailer. The days of tent camping are now behind me.
Same! They inspired me to do it, too.
This was amazing. I think the tide pools may be more interesting than an aquarium. I liked Crater Lake when I was there but the coast highway and lighthouses are beautiful. Yall stay safe
Love the extended episodes! We just made this trip in August! Can’t get enough of the Oregon coast❤️ I grew up going to Cannon Beach every summer.
Born and raised in Oregon and it’s so neat and fun to watch people come and enjoy Oregon and the Oregon coast!!!

Very big fan of these longer videos! Hope we see a lot more of them.

We did the southern Oregon coast this year and it didn’t disappoint… absolutely stunning!!! Looking forward to heading north on our next trip!

Best video of the season, (so far)
The longer episodes. What ..

Easily one of the best episodes ever. Every new destination puts new items on my bucket list. Thank you both.

We love your extended videos as well as all the rest of them.
Thank you for this lovely and interesting episode. Love the extended versions!

Trish OMG, I think you have just changed my life in 10 seconds! I love the idea of separating the shopping list into categories. No i c
I ABSOLUTELY love the extended video's. Thank you for taking us along with you on your adventures 😊
Love the idea of putting the greens in a plastic cup of water. I will do the same now - especially for asparagus!
😊
I've done this trip, on most of the same roads, on a motorcycle. Tent on the back, small blanket roll, and no time limit. Excruciatingly beautiful ride, and even though I've done it myself, I'm still jealous of you guys.
Welcome back to the PNW! 💚 Love the format, food, humor, and views. Thanks for sharing it all!
Loved this episode. Yes, the longer videos are most entertaining!
Thank you both. It is such a joy watching your videos.
Enjoyed the extended segment, as well as all of your other ones. Gorgeous area!
