We love Harvest Host and wineries are our favorite! It's not exactly true you're not spending money in camping fees though since they do expect you to buy a bottle or two whenever you stay there, so that's basically your camping fee. We've actually found it's less expensive to stay at state parks along the way than Harvest Host since you're not needing to buy any food/drinks and can do more cooking on your own. Love your attitudes when things don't go according to plan 🙂. Very essential when RVing.
That is true, we did spend money on wine! The wine bottles were part of the wedding gift, so we counted that as "almost zero" 😁. We are traveling to Texas next and plan to stay at State Parks as much as possible. Thank you for your comment!
Hi Brian and Stephanie I always stop by Wilbur hot springs in my way south Kind of expensive, but may park outside of the hit spring resort and enjoy the awesome baths They're several along the way,if you Google hot springs near me may find out! Have a great trip!
