- Prior to sentencing, the judge gave Derik Camacho a chance to address the court. It also would have been a chance to address Michael Barsell, the victim, who sat wheelchair-bound in the courtroom. However, he chose to say nothing.
Should have given him 50 years
15 years, and a man loses his ability to walk on his own . Is this justice or a slap on the hand ?
slap on the hand because he will only serve half that and be out walking around free in 7 years but that man still wont have a foot and will probably have ptsd.

should have been given 25 years with no parole. the victim lost his ability to walk and probably gained trauma and malignant cancers all over his old body. its pretty much a death sentence for the victim.
