👍👌👏 Very well done. I'm really happy to see that you will reuse most of the cinder blocks. Best regards luck and health in particular. To all of you of course.
Looks like great ground and the wildlife is fantastic. Would love to have something like this but being 74 my wife says the work would probably do me in. Wishing you all the best.
Monday morning quarterbacking - 1st time viewer. I think an excavator would have worked and allowed you to separate the block from dirt in one move. Now you have to move both again. Old did show a great way not to use concrete blocks.
An excavator is on the wish list and definitely could be used on a lot of different things around the property for sure! Thanks for your input! Have a great day!
Your land is wonderful now that you've cleared it of all the debris! What will you do with the land? What shape was your house n? Love to see a vlog that explains a bit about your family and aspirations for your ranchlife!❤ Cheers from Canada
We are still working on the land and will start on the house soon to make it livable. Both the land and house needed a lot of work. Thanks for watching!
What a mess. Why had the property sat for so long unkept. You probably have enough blocks to build a large building. Bobcats are really useful and can be used for so many things. It looks like it is the tool you needed.
@@livingon80 You have a lot of work ahead but at least you have some good equipment and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It looks like you are going to have a really beautiful place when you are done. What state are you in?
I just subscribed yesterday, but I’m still confused where you’re located? I watch a lot of RUclips here’s a little different than these ones in Europe.
I think we might dig a big hole with the backhoe and push the loose fill in..basically trade the loose fill for fresh dirt. Then I can use the dirt to fill in holes around the property without worrying about blocks and boards.
I can’t justify owning a skid steer but I rent them when I have projects. I can rent for a week for what a few monthly payments would be. They own the repairs if it breaks down.
Great job, but you tore out thousands of garden areas you could have planted for your family.... I mean, I would have left a few planters.... if clean and green is your objective, you got a good start
@@livingon80 They,re not hard to operate. Especially as small D5 or D6 type. You could also use it for clearing some of the brush land with the bigger trees. It would really save time. You don't have to purchase you can rent one for a weekend.
Great job
So much work! I’m so glad my new property is only 1.64 acres. Although I don’t have that equipment, and I’m older. 🤣🤣🤣
A lot of work indeed! It's my gym membership too :) Have a great day Sandra!
@@livingon80 you too, don’t hurt yourself. My land will be my gym. 🙂
Dude you gotta let me come over this summer and teach me how to drive that bobcat.
Site looks great.
Sounds like a plan, and thank you!
Having the right equipment makes all the difference.
100%!
The soil looks nice and rich
Thank you! Part of the land actually used to be a nursery!! 💗 Allison

Thank you very much!
Great video, looking forward to part 2
Coming soon! Thank you!

🤣 thank you for watching. This may very well be my lifelong project! There's always something to do!

I believe the owner passed away and the property was too much for the family to keep up with (i feel their pain), but I am not 100% sure.

We are in Indiana

Thanks for watching! We are in the States (Indiana)! 💗 Allison
Looks like it’s in Ohio…Nice land and property!!
@@JammyCrackcorn Very close! We are in Indiana. Thank you!
Thx
You're welcome!
Just curious - Do you need all of that pavement at the Barn?
Not really. This property at one time was a tree and plant nursery and the red barn was their storefront with that asphalt being its parking lot.
plenty of block to build a storm shelter?
Great idea! Thank you! 💗 Allison

Did you get the parcel at a good price?
We believe the price was fair.
💯

I've been thinking about renting a mini excavator. Renting definitely has its advantages!
You need a D3 Cat
That would have been nice for sure!

Yeah, we wanted a fresh start. It was hard to keep up with with all those blocks. You're right though, it is a great garden spot!
Small dozer may have worked better.
I bet you're right! I've never operated one. Sounds fun!

Great info. Thank you!
For the areas with a lot of poison ivy find some goats to rent. They will eat it all.
Good info! Thank you!
Motor grader would have worked well for this
I had to look that up! Looks like they would work well! Thanks for sharing!
