The majority of people who do will be disgusted by it for about 10 minutes, maybe make a tweet or 2, before they switch to another youtube video and forget about it all completely.
I'm actually quite satisfied that YT is willing to keep digging a hole for themselves. Though at the moment they are still at too big to fail level, they have been actively eroding their own platform. And if things keep up, it's going to make it easier and easier for competition in the future. I'm in no hurry, I can wait. Even if it takes years. It's all but guaranteed they will lose their status if they keep going like this.

There’s a RUclipsr called “Viprah” who covered the resurgence of exetrwnely violent sexual Minecraft elsagate videos, and didn’t even blame RUclips. You wanna know what they did? They kept the videos fully monetized, and shadow banned him from the algorithm. This prevented unknowing parents from seeing his warnings.
RUclips really needs to do the right thing here and at least demonetize her for like a year, or completely deactivate her account. Things like this should never go without consequences.

Emily Baker covered this and pored over the California law about doxxing, and concluded that what Sssniperwolf did is pretty clearly illegal, not just "borderline." Granted, it doesn't mean she'd face any jailtime or anything - it's just a misdemeanor, slap-on-the-wrist sort of thing. But Jacksfilms would be smart to file charges and at least get it on the books, and then if this fight continues, he'll have plenty of documentation and can maybe motivate RUclips to take action.

I’ve never made a video and had no idea I even had 5 subscribers (where did they come from). Regardless, I don’t spam or solicit anything and have received nothing from RUclips about what comment in particular warranted such a response. Try and make it make sense that a no name with zero videos received a harsher punishment then this actual criminal.

Emily Baker covered this and pored over the California law about doxxing, and concluded that what Sssniperwolf did is pretty clearly illegal, not just "borderline." Granted, it doesn't mean she'd face any jailtime or anything - it's just a misdemeanor, slap-on-the-wrist sort of thing. But Jacksfilms would be smart to file charges and at least get it on the books, and then if this fight continues, he'll have plenty of documentation and can maybe motivate RUclips to take action.
On top of her criminal record, she might face more consequences.

I received a strike on my channel the other day for breaking community guidelines by spamming and soliciting my channel. I’ve never made a video and had no idea I even had 5 subscribers (where did they come from). Regardless, I don’t spam or solicit anything and have received nothing from RUclips about what comment in particular warranted such a response. Try and make it make sense that a no name with zero videos received a harsher punishment then this actual criminal.
