For reals. Dudes like Jake Paul and other similar shitters survived drama because their viewer bases are mostly children and adults who think caring is "gay." But when your whole brand is bringing light to shittery, and you engage in shittery yourself, that audience is gonna turn on you without hesitation.
As an ex viewer, she literally built up the exact demographic that would screw right off when they found out what was going on behind the scenes. She expertly engineered her own downfall and all it took was a spat with another RUclipsr to have the truth come crashing in.
However, Legal Eagle himself also made a similar, and seemingly baseless, stealing accusation. He accused Mat Pat of copying his video some subject I don't remember anymore (might have been something about the copyright of some dance moves or something) while it's more likely that Mat Pat's legal expert has simply come to the same conclusion about the subject as Legal Eagle. However, unlike iilluminaughtii, Legal Eagle knew when to stop digging. He just pinned Mat Pat's response under his video and didn't press on and there was no drama of note.
@@wooferuwu166from what I understand (I could be a little off on a few of the specific details), one of legal eagle's editors reached out to her editor/s about a particular effect used by them they were interested in learning how to do. Apparently this isn't an uncommon practice but this rubbed her the wrong way. This seemingly innocuous interaction led her to conclude that legal eagle and his team were actively trying to "bite her style" to use a hip hop term. Instead of reacting like a mature adult she chose to publicly accuse him of plagiarism and was soon rightfully ridiculed. I'm not invested enough in this story to do additional research to fact check my synopsis but I'm sure I got the gist of it.

That didn't stop OJ from evading a life sentence or Zimmerman from getting off due to Florida's stand your ground law. I learned from my time in law school that if you don't have a lawyer, most judges will be biased against you because they will assume that you lack the legal expertise to defend yourself. Even if you demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the law, the presiding judge will try to find a way to rule against you because of your hauteur in not seeking legal representation (which will have prevented the court from collecting additional fees).
Another great comparison to Iluminaughti's fall from grace is CreepshowArt. She also managed to self destruct in the same way but she did it so fast that it was kinda impressive
Yeah like holy hell, a lot of youtubers I have followed in the past turns out to be a terrible person. Creepshow, Jake Tran, and now Illuminaughtii. I stick with Coffeezilla and Munecat now, but this whole situation has made me very suspicious towards video essay and commentary youtubers. Which I guess is a lesson in of itself. You shouldn't take anyone by their word

She does a good job just sticking to the facts and making it clear when something is her opinion/speculative. And she always pushes to keep the victims who were harmed at the forefront. Theres definitely a lot to parse through tho.
In 2021 the same year creepshowart’s downfall, I already do knew Blair isn’t a good person. There was small controversy but commentary and dramas RUclipsrs didn’t talk about it mainly because it wasn’t something to get profit off or ratings. I never understood what’s the appeal of her content and I’m not surprised of Blair’s controversy.
i don’t think the twitter fight would’ve ended her career in its own (considering it rly didn’t, it was just cringe then everyone moved on), but the abuse allegations were massive and then the hbomberguy video was an entire bucket of nails in the coffin
The saddest part of all of this is just how many people she hurt. It's frankly astounding. I'm a longtime follower of the Click, Oz Media, One Topic, and Wonderstruck, and their videos on the situation (especially Oz) show just how much Blair tried to ruin their lives.
Yeah, if anyone wants to know more information about this, I'd recommend they go visit their videos on this. And major props to them as well. Like, OT did it and he actually managed to stay pretty polite and calm throughout the entire thing, but you could still tell that he was severely hurt by this.
For real though, I had not watched her for a couple years but found Click during the pandemic and finding out these two used to work together was wild.

I remember seeing the tweets RIGHT AS SHE WAS TWEETING THEM. All of her videos have a really chill vibe so seeing her be snarky on twitter really caught me off guard.
She has always been pretty snarky and sassy in her videos imo. I used to eatch her regularly but stopped watching her after she made a video on BANG energydrink because I dunno she just seemed so mean in it

I shrugged the first two or three mean comments off as everyone's allowed to have a bad day etc, but her increasingly negative attitude in public drove me away before all the drama hit the fan. The woman is basically a Charles Dickens villain. She tried to foreclose on her ex-boyfriend's house right before Christmas. The house she manipulated him into buying, saying it would save their relationship, despite that she had told her friends that she was planning on breaking up with him soon.

That being said, there's countless dudes doing that and much worse to women too. But the former is obviously much less known and talked about. Props to her dude for stepping up and speaking out. Fortunately I didn't have much of a saving when I met her, so she was only able to steal and manipulate my earnings for the time I was with her. I'll never reply, just stay silent and celebrate every time she reaches out, knowing shes got nobody left and is just super desperate. Gonna throw a fucking party when I see she's finally in jail or in the ground. Definitely feel for the ex. Fortunately he's still young and should be able to rebound. Meanwhile that bitch will fuck up whatever little bit she has left and will never be able to earn by just counting on herself. What's so insane about this is that Blair might have genuinely believed that Legal Eagle was "copying" her editing style because it's something that she'd been doing for years to other youtubers. It's like that saying, "one who uses poison always supsects to be poisoned themselves".
I used to watch Blair way back when I was around 13/14. She actually used to make reddit content similar to channels like 'The Click' and 'EmKay', Both of whom she formed a channel with called 'Sad Milk'. Sad Milk however, along with all of her reddit content, was deleted. I was confused at the time and after some digging I found out that apparently, she had actually not only deleted the reddit content on her channel to focus on MLM stuff, but she'd also deleted ALL of Sad Milk's videos without even talking about it to the other creators she shared the channels with. That seemed kinda sketchy to me, so I tuned out of her content since then.
If you don't cite a reputable source such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, or Encyclopedia Brittanica, you are immediately discredited in my mind. If a student of mine cites RUclips or Fox News, I make sure to check that person immediately. Gen Z is going to learn one way or another.

As a autistic, I’m very upset and angry at Iilluminaughtii, especially since I once liked her videos calling out Autism Speaks (a horrible organization) and R. Kelly (another actual abuser). She reminds me of the hypocritical, narcissistic, toxic, horrible people I cut out of my life years ago. I’ve been in toxic, manipulative, and abusive relationships/friendships myself so I can 100% relate to what Wonder, Cliccy, One Topic, and Oz Media are all going through. These gentlemen are very brave for coming forward for exposing Iilluminaughtii. I wish them nothing but the best.

The more information is uncovered, the more likely it seems Jirard and his family may have been doing charity fraud in his late mother's name.

I remember I subbed to her when her channel was still small and went off her quickly. She became VERY smug VERY quickly, even when she wasn’t even that popular on RUclips, and she always phrased the facts she presented as like, super secret information that only she had access to, even if it was just something that pretty much everyone already knows. I fully admit I’m not even a particularly cultured or educated person, but there were so many times when she would be saying something like “now this is a well-kept industry secret, not a lot of people know this but I got the inside scoop for you guys” and I’d just be sat there watching like…. Hi there! Ex-Illumanaughti subscriber here. I used to watch Illumanaughti until the shit that went down with her. Like, I was actively still subscribed to her when she put out her apology video. Yeah, I know, yikes. And I was actually kinda still somewhat on her side, until I heard a personal account from another RUclipsr who I followed who laid all the allegations out as simple as possible. It’s weird to be on that side of the drama as it happens. I even got my dad into her channel (I just let him forget about it. Didn’t want to go into the *ever-growing* drama by explaining it). Not just being on the side, but the fact that I was just going to passively accept some of that shit she did until another RUclipsr I did know spoke up. What was I *THINKING?!* Makes me laugh, honestly. With how blind I wanted to be to it all.
Not just that, she accused a copyright lawyer of plagiarism. Sure, breaking copyright law and plagiarizing are two different things, but they're close enough that she should've known better.

I don’t know, I’ve noticed after a lot of the bigger videos that have come out about her, her views actually go up. Instead of only getting around 20 K per video, she gets closer to 40 to 50 K per video. That happened after HBomber guy’s video came out. Don’t really know why people still flock to her channel, but I guess people like incorrect information.

I don't even remember what the hell it was she said or how she said it, I just remember I got such strong red flags from it, I just ignored the channel when it came back up. And then she turned out to be like THAT.
I'm on the outside skirt of the Friend group she made this really horrible Video about (OT, Oz Media, TheClick, ect.). You didn't even cover the worst of her actions, like publicly talking about her friends suicide note and accusing another one of horrible crimes he didn't do in a desperate attempt to hurt their reputation. I talked to her once and distanced myself immediately, because something was so off. I couldn't pinpoint it at the time, but now that I know I'm glad I did. I wish nothing but the best to everyone else involved, but I hope she get's everything she deserves

Thing is one of the only videos I've seen from her from years ago, she was calling out someone for behavior that had been skewed wildly out of context. Even just seeing her videos in my recommended I always had some kind of gut feeling there was something going on there, and that kept me from ever watching her videos. Apparently that feeling was right.
I remember seeing the expose Click had about Illuminaughtii months ago. I had found his channel purely by chance and love the content, and had never heard of her before all of this. You can tell just how bad the situation was, especially when he got emotional toward the end because of *other* information that had come up that made the situation worse. I had someone that I disagreed with in a forum that I had banned, but never did I drag it outside of the confines of the various members who were affected. I could never imagine doing something like that to them. Worst I'll ever say is that we had a disagreement and she was banned for it.

I just saw one video essay from Illuminaughti at some point when I was watching videos on a particular subject, I don't remember exactly what it was. I didn't even think it was this big.
It’s just wild to me just how vindictive and ill intended a lot of what she’s done has been. She just seems like a really mean and bitter person. Almost evil in how manipulative she is.

There was a scene in Attack on Titan, where Armin tells everyone that he was able to deduce that the Female Titan was not like the feral ones, because it was able to kill people without eating them, and clarifying that wild titans only want to _eat_ humans, and that humans incidentally die in that process. It's one thing that Illuminaughtii acts selfishly and ruthlessly advances her own position, but it's another level of vile entirely when she does so many actions for the sole purpose of hurting others. She had NO tactical advantage to gain from picking the fight with LegalEagle, for instance; it, like so many of her actions, was to placate her own ego and set it straight to all that even the people who work alongside her are below her.
The fact that she's still out to get OzMedia, is mind-blowing. The lawsuit looks fraudulent at best, frivolous at worst. I just hope she'll completely disappear off the platform and FINALLY leaves her victims alone!
I watched her in 2021 she slowly came off my recommended in 2022 literally forgot about her, just now remembered her because of him, damn never realized this on her
My favorite part about this situation is that Blair built her brand on talking about the awful things big brands and stuff do, and pretty much everything she's done flies in the face of the values she supposedly stood for. Sending love to Oz btw.
Not all the brands even deserved it, for some reason she made a video about the dodo being bad when it literally was some innocent mistakes and that was it.
I've been around that specific group of content creators (Oz, OneTopic, Wonder, The Click) for.... Years. I've been subbed to Oz for the longest, since before he started calling his viewers 'Lovely Degenerates'. Blair deserves everything that's coming for her.
I'm friends with SaltyTheAlien and therefore know some of the others as well. The amount of shit that went on, especially behind closed doors is just horrible! However, unlike iilluminaughtii, Legal Eagle knew when to stop digging. He just pinned Mat Pat's response under his video and didn't press on and there was no drama of note.

Apparently this isn't an uncommon practice but this rubbed her the wrong way. This seemingly innocuous interaction led her to conclude that legal eagle and his team were actively trying to "bite her style" to use a hip hop term. Instead of reacting like a mature adult she chose to publicly accuse him of plagiarism and was soon rightfully ridiculed.
I'm not invested enough in this story to do additional research to fact check my synopsis but I'm sure I got the gist of it.

I learned from my time in law school that if you don't have a lawyer, most judges will be biased against you because they will assume that you lack the legal expertise to defend yourself. Even if you demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the law, the presiding judge will try to find a way to rule against you because of your hauteur in not seeking legal representation (which will have prevented the court from collecting additional fees).

There was small controversy but commentary and dramas RUclipsrs didn’t talk about it mainly because it wasn’t something to get profit off or ratings. I'm a longtime follower of the Click, Oz Media, One Topic, and Wonderstruck, and their videos on the situation (especially Oz) show just how much Blair tried to ruin their lives.
Yeah, if anyone wants to know more information about this, I'd recommend they go visit their videos on this.
And major props to them as well. Like, OT did it and he actually managed to stay pretty polite and calm throughout the entire thing, but you could still tell that he was severely hurt by this.

What's so insane about this is that Blair might have genuinely believed that Legal Eagle was "copying" her editing style because it's something that she'd been doing for years to other youtubers. It's like that saying, "one who uses poison always supsects to be poisoned themselves".
I used to watch Blair way back when I was around 13/14. She actually used to make reddit content similar to channels like 'The Click' and 'EmKay', Both of whom she formed a channel with called 'Sad Milk'. Sad Milk however, along with all of her reddit content, was deleted. I was confused at the time and after some digging I found out that apparently, she had actually not only deleted the reddit content on her channel to focus on MLM stuff, but she'd also deleted ALL of Sad Milk's videos without even talking about it to the other creators she shared the channels with. That seemed kinda sketchy to me, so I tuned out of her content since then.

She reminds me of the hypocritical, narcissistic, toxic, horrible people I cut out of my life years ago. I’ve been in toxic, manipulative, and abusive relationships/friendships myself so I can 100% relate to what Wonder, Cliccy, One Topic, and Oz Media are all going through. These gentlemen are very brave for coming forward for exposing Iilluminaughtii. I wish them nothing but the best.

It’s weird to be on that side of the drama as it happens.

Instead of only getting around 20 K per video, she gets closer to 40 to 50 K per video. That happened after HBomber guy’s video came out. Genuinely, got one of her videos recommended to me ages back, like, a subreddit read, maybe an r/aita or something... and I remember hearing her take on one of the situations and just immediately recoiling to her entire personality. It just... bothered me so deeply. I don't even remember what the hell it was she said or how she said it, I just remember I got such strong red flags from it, I just ignored the channel when it came back up.
And then she turned out to be like THAT.
I'm on the outside skirt of the Friend group she made this really horrible Video about (OT, Oz Media, TheClick, ect.). You didn't even cover the worst of her actions, like publicly talking about her friends suicide note and accusing another one of horrible crimes he didn't do in a desperate attempt to hurt their reputation.
I talked to her once and distanced myself immediately, because something was so off. I couldn't pinpoint it at the time, but now that I know I'm glad I did.
I wish nothing but the best to everyone else involved, but I hope she get's everything she deserves

Thing is one of the only videos I've seen from her from years ago, she was calling out someone for behavior that had been skewed wildly out of context. Even just seeing her videos in my recommended I always had some kind of gut feeling there was something going on there, and that kept me from ever watching her videos. Apparently that feeling was right.
I remember seeing the expose Click had about Illuminaughtii months ago. I had found his channel purely by chance and love the content, and had never heard of her before all of this. You can tell just how bad the situation was, especially when he got emotional toward the end because of *other* information that had come up that made the situation worse. I had someone that I disagreed with in a forum that I had banned, but never did I drag it outside of the confines of the various members who were affected. I could never imagine doing something like that to them. Worst I'll ever say is that we had a disagreement and she was banned for it.
It’s not often a youtuber gets their career destroyed not by being some sort of pedo or completely scamming their audience. But by just being a plain and simple terrible person behind the scenes.

There was a scene in Attack on Titan, where Armin tells everyone that he was able to deduce that the Female Titan was not like the feral ones, because it was able to kill people without eating them, and clarifying that wild titans only want to _eat_ humans, and that humans incidentally die in that process.
It's one thing that Illuminaughtii acts selfishly and ruthlessly advances her own position, but it's another level of vile entirely when she does so many actions for the sole purpose of hurting others. She had NO tactical advantage to gain from picking the fight with LegalEagle, for instance; it, like so many of her actions, was to placate her own ego and set it straight to all that even the people who work alongside her are below her.
The fact that she's still out to get OzMedia, is mind-blowing. The lawsuit looks fraudulent at best, frivolous at worst. I just hope she'll completely disappear off the platform and FINALLY leaves her victims alone!

I've seen it pointed out repeatedly, and it's something I personally pointed out immediately. And everyone in the comment section, at first, was telling me how wrong I was, how much worse Shannon is. I disagreed then and I disagree now. I think they're equally evil, they just go about bringing their misery in different ways.

I remember when I was in a stream of hers once. She couldn’t even pronounce my username right for like 5 times. Plus, she just dipped in and out of this really douchey aura of her.

Its crazy because I just started watching her vids some months ago and it quicly turned into the actual situation.
