    "Find a flat spot under the engine" I guess that would not include the plastic oil pan. ;)

    Couldn't ECU being moved aside (after unscrewing)?... was no need to remove connectors.

    Do you have any tips for people with the ECM that has the steel cage? I was able to get to the bolts without removing the ECM but it wasn’t pretty... wondering if there’s a better way.
    Thanks for the advice!

    Is it safe to disconnect the battery without a memory saver?

    is this only for manual trans or does this work with the DSG transmission? about to be getting in to an 18 GTI with the DSG and was curious if it works on it. Thanks!

    With both the mounts fitted ! I understand it takes some slop out, but % wise were the VW that bad ?

    You will see that these mounts do not have any material backing (like the stock do) to prevent the "metal on metal" that you will experience with lateral movement.

    I’ve heard removing the ecu is very bad to do, is this true? Because I’m about a week from doing this mount on my golf r

      Removing the ECU should not have any negative consequences, as long as it is reinstalled correctly.

    Will this work on the 2012 cc?

      With the correct mounts, absolutely...if ECS do not make a suitable set, REVO does...look almost identical to the ECS ones.

    What is the purpose of this mount?

    • @ecstuning
      @ecstuning  6 лет назад +3

      Stiffer mounts allow for less drivetrain slop, helping reduce wheel hop, improve throttle response, and help make shifts more precise.

      So during the removal of the stock oem mounts on my 08 GTI. I notice that one of the bolts on the transmission mount snapped off somehow and is stuck inside the hole. Will this mean I will need to drill it out???

    Are these stretch bolts or can they be reused?

    • @ecstuning
      @ecstuning  6 лет назад +1

      They're stretch bolts. We've got kits with the replacement bolts included here: goo.gl/3112pf
