I love my Fuji‘s dials and controls and everything and it is a beautiful camera. Fujis are super intuitive and unique to use. But I also really love Leica‘s simplicity, they look and feel gorgeous and are definitely unique in design. I‘m really considering getting a Leica next year or in 2019.

This has the exact same resolution sensor as the Sony A6500 and shoots 10FPS vs 11 FPS with the A6500. Are they using the same sensor?

Hi, so i will buy my first DSLR this christmas and i wanted to know if i should pick up the 200D or the Nikon D3400. I lean towards the Nikon because it is cheaper, i dont rly need a touchscreen and i dont plan on making videos either. Do you guys think that the Nikon is the right choice for a beginner?

There's something odd about the framerate of this video, especially on the normal-mo bits. Was it shot at 60p then converted to 24p without slow-mo?
M3 was available in kits I believe. As far as I understand the lower end kits (Elmar, Elmarit) were cheaper, body and standard lens. The higher end (Summicron and Summarit) were more expensive body and lens with leather half case and lens hoods ECT. Buyer chose their desired focal length obviously.
I'm so rich and I have no time to manual focus, so instead of a leica M, I will buy a leica CL and an assistant to press the shutter button

Kai, I’d love a video from you on your thoughts on DSLR vs Mirrorless in late 2017. Have you personally made the switch? I’m still rocking my 600D from 2013 and it’s still perfectly fine for my photos. I am considering making a change/upgrade as my video has suffered due to the lack of continuous AF.. I’m semi-invested I’m EF lenses. I have a Canon 10-18, Canon 50 1.8, a sigma 18-35 1.8 and a sigma 70-300. I’m looking at the 70D/80D but I am intrigued by what the Sony mirrorless line can do.

1) What is the diference between "sony alpha" y "sony nex" (example sony a5000 y nex6) I know that there is diferences in the iso and so one, but what is the real diference between sony "alpha mirrorless" e "Nex" ? What series of sony its better?
2) What is the best (used or not udes) camera for 200? (I like to travel so im thinking in mirrorless)

That's Sony for you, but he also does a lot of color correction in post to give it that cinema look. You can actually do this on an iPad Pro with Lumia, even an Android tablet with apps like PowerDirector, Filmm or 3DLUT. I have a new Sony Xperia 1 II that does this kind of color corecting while filming in 4K, the videos Im shooting are nothing short of breath-taking.
Did you mention a price. Or is it one of those situations where if you have to ask you can't afford it.

But how about iso performance? Most of the bird shots were motion blurred so I guess that it was due to that 2.8 is the maximum aperture of that lens OR the bad quality of the picture with the high ISO
Can i request a camera review on a certain aspect? Let's say I'm just a point and shoot person who is happy with using the Automatic mode and not in to photography. I only shoot small groups of people indoor and outdoor that is well lighted. I would like to ask you expert opinion. Which camera has the best Automatic mode? Which camera produces the best pictures in Automatic mode? Because Leica makes the best lens, which Leica is the best in Automatic mode? I want to know which of them has the best Automatic Mode! I wish you can help us here! Thanks!

Me in 2024 wishing Leica would make a CL with a M11 sensor… I know that sounds weird to some but as someone who travels to shoot live music involving fast moving subjects, an auto-focus, compact camera with interchangeable lenses would be amazing… something the size of my M11 or a Q3 but with more of the options of the SL would make things so much more smoother.

"The Marmite of viewfinder cameras..." We use Marmite all the time as a background player in our recipes, it supports the other flavours. Maybe this camera has the same use.
The design of the buttons, knobs and displays seem inherited from the very distinctive, ergonomically efficient system on the SL. If this is indeed the case, fantastic. should have discussed the TL mount, shared with the SL. The camera is well placed and should sell very well. ("rich people don't have time to manual focus" LOL)
Why don't you use a faster shutter speed? Most of your photos look terrible

CL was a great camera with loads of innovations and so nice to use, I mean the Leitz-Minolta one. I do not know why this one is named after it.
So in summary, it is 10x the cost of my Lumix GX80, has a larger sensor but trades that for control options and functions. Such as manual exposure during video filming. I'd call that a BAD deal.
Leica is not a filming camera company, if that's what you're using to compare it to other cameras then you're doing it wrong.
thegeneral123 you don’t buy a Leica to shoot video. A larger sensor is a big deal for photographers.
Of course it’s overpriced because it’s Leica but the design is better, the sensor is better and bigger, the lenses are better, they’re not really comparable because one is more video centric and m43 and the other is photo centric and apsc
The SL is their video body. It's got great specs, but that $7K price tag keeps it out of reach for many looking for an alternative to Sony & Panasonic.
APS-C really isn't that much bigger than m43. 😒

Thanks for reviewing Leica! Not many RUclipsrs do. I love the smaller size cameras and lenses they produce (not the price though), but I'm still waiting for something the size of the *LIGHT L16* (well, with interchangeable lenses). I truly believe that LIGHT is on to something BIG (even though it's about the size of a smartphone).
Wow Kai wear a camera strap, that means the camera is VERY special!
Two things: I'm sure Leica's 4K is thanks to their partners Panasonic 👍 and it feels like they've been releasing much "cheaper" cameras than in the past; probably their way to stay relevant in the modern market and prevent Fuji from becoming the new Leica. Yes, I said that. 🤔

I see the name of a camera that humiliated the M5 to the point the M4 had to be brought back into production, but was carried on by Minolta as the sorely underrated CLE... and it's a tiny APS-C? I'd rather see the name reborn on a smaller-and-cheaper-than-M film camera again.
So, Leica CL or Fuji X-E3?
Does the X-E3 shoot 4K? I'm a Fuji guy, but the only lower tier body they have that shoots 4K is the XT-20. This of course is more expensive than an X-E3/XT-20, but if you're a Leica fan, this is most affordable way to enter the ecosystem. The CL is even cheaper than the Q.
More like Leica CL or 4 Fuji X-E3:s. It's 3500€ with the 18mm.
walking on manhattan you can see at least 2 Leica's /day and Fuji just not exist. max 3 in year all x100 series in a hand of Russian or Japanese tourists))) so it obviously much more people that buy leica than fuji. fuji just have unreal prices IMHO

I bought the Leica CL the moment it came out as I wanted a smaller body than my Leica SL but still wanted to use the same lens system as the SL. I really enjoy using this camera because of it’s size and the absolute fantastic photo’s it takes, it is my go to camera for traveling and street photography, but I’ve been thinking about replacing it with the new Fujifilm X-Pro 3, what do you guys think.
I say this as I just sold my Leica SL in order to help pay for my newest camera, a Sony 7R IV that literally just came in the mail two days ago. Though as of right now I only have three lenses for it, the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM, Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM and a Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS. Which a friend of my sold to me for only a few hundred bucks after he found it in storage locker he had won at auction.
I used it for a while on my custom Alpa 12 FPS with a PhaseOne IQ3 100MP digital back but now that I have a real Sony full-frame camera that was designed for this lens, it has been transferred over to that kit. I also have 5 other lens mounts for the Alpa; Pentax, FujiFilm, Mamiya, Hasselblad and Canon, as it’s my work horse.
I'm hoping this new Sony can still up my game a little however even though the Alpa is one of those camera systems that you'll have your entire life because of its infinite modularity, seriuosly, you can build this thing up to do anything and over and over and over again. www.alpa.ch/en/section/products/ for those who are interested in seeing what I'm talking about.
This "Digital Leica CL" with the silver 18mm pancake lens, reminds me of my old Minolta Autopak 700 Instamatic camera. An interesting release from Wetzlar, but I'll use Ye Olde Fujifilm X30, from the company that "made the rangefinder look Cool again." Lok's review was far better, if I were thinking of buying into the Hipster Lomographic look.;)
