That's so crazy! I'm used to gopros so seeing dji come up with something so durable and high quality blew me away!
Honestly I’d never put much thought into the osmo but this has been a MASSIVE selling incentive for me. I’ve been looking at GoPros and the Insta360 camera but you have fully just turned me towards the dji for the future when I’m able to get one. Great video Peter, thank you for the insight!

I bought a foam case for my dji osmo action 3 to reduce wind noise when riding and fortunately, it works. My only issue was the camera does not fit perfectly in the foam case if I put it in with the cage included, so I looked for a documented test to know if I can use the camera on a daily basis w/o the cage. This video answered my question! Thank you!

Low temperature resistance was the biggest issue I had with the Osmo Action 1. At about -10 degrees, each battery died in less than 5 minutes.

Whoa. That’s durable. I’ve always used GoPro but on my recent holiday the Hero 10 audio was very hit and miss to the point it ruined some scenes in my vlog. The audio on the DJI is a massive selling point, particularly for vlogging. Great job Peter 👍🏻

I too have it for a week. Does your DJI osmo action gets over heated and stops recording when shooting in room temperature?? I feel this as problem. DO you have any suggestions? After what time does it get heated during recording??
@@rajanvk939 nope, I did not experience any overheating issues with the OSMO Action 3 camera. I even had it in direct sunlight for an hour while cycling - it was a champ. Of course, while cycling, yes, I was moving most the time.

I highly appreciate your video. just subscribed to your channel. I have a few questions to ask.... In room temperature, i was shooting with osmo action 3 at 4k 60fps but it stopped recording after 15 minutes due to overheating. Next day, I was using it as webcam, and it stopped working after 15 to 16 minutes. is it a product´s fault? should I return it? Can you give some suggestions on this?

this was a cool video I couldn't believe it held up but now we see the same video done with the gopro 11
I have heard a lot of things online about focus issues but, in my experience, DJI follows through and makes things right, so I am not worried. Compared to all the reliability and technical issues I have had with GoPro, the Action 3 is a no-brainer for me. P.S. - please try to have more FUN in your videos:) Great work . . .again!

Just bought the Osmo Action 4. It was lying on the bed and I didn't see it... Went to shake the duvet and it hurtled onto the floor attached to the stick... Hence I'm watching this video! Wow, so dam durable! So glad I bought DJI!

Hi, not sure why no one talks about the magnetic feature more in videos, not the clamp mount, but the magnet itself.

does your action 3 stops recoding after 15 minutes at room temperature? have you tried that?

@@michaelpoczynek Thank you for your reply. It was in Wide ange, 4K 60fps, with Rock Steady on (first-here it lasted 15 min. and automatically turned off) and rock steady off (2nd time- it lasted 17 mintues and it turned off)
@@rajanvk939 I ran it for 20 minutes. The screen was off after 5. No issues. Was slightly warm.

Great test Peter, I always trust your reviews, but mine was recording a time-lapse, it fell out of the 3rd floor window on the ice. Result: DJI warranty is for battery only and lens (camera) does not cover screens. The camera didn't actually stop working, but to fix it was almost the price of a new one. I still think it's better than the GP, but I was disappointed with the DJI.

The thing is ; did you notice any blur / non focus issue of the Action 3 ? On DJI forum this topic is being hit and i guess i have the same issue with my OA3 maybe.. What you think ?

There are some great things about the DJI Action 3, but I believe the image quality is better on the GoPro 11.

I’ve done absolutely 0 altering to the image 🤷🏻
I’ve watched over 50 RUclips videos on this camera and 2-3 reviewers said there is a focus issue. After that watchers are looking for several seconds in an 8 minute video for something slightly out of focus. One RUclips reviewer actually took the Action 3 apart and demonstrated how the fixed focus lens is glued in place but must be calibrated incorrectly. The thing I can’t figure out if the fixed focus lens is bad - how can only 5 seconds of an 8 minute video be out of focus. Wouldn’t the whole video be out of focus since the lens is fixed in place?? How can the video be sharp over 90% of the time? I do believe though that the GoPro has better dynamic range (not focus). For my use $329 is a better choice.

I really want to convert from GoPro to DJI Osmo Action... BUT, until DJI can make it’s action camera with 23+mp photos , I will stick with my GoPro... that’s what absolutely love most of my GoPro... those 23mp photos (hero 10).
For real if i can get that kind of camera I will be better in making videos also I love gopro but in Africa here there to expensive
