- Grid quilting. Decorative effects. Stitch-in-the-ditch. Curved quilting. Reversible stitching. Your serger has quilting effects you never imagined! Sara Gallegos explores quilting with the one-needle chainstitch, which allows you to pivot, as well as the two-needle cover stitch. She plays with different feet and threads, giving you useful tips along the way, and just enough examples to set your creative wheels in motion!
Notions used: Madeira Aerolock thread (40 weight), Aurifil Mako’ne thread (12 weight), Aurifil Katona thead (4 weight), Clover Wonder Clips, Fusible Warm Fleece 1 Single-Sided batting from The Warm Company. Fabrics from various collections from Andover and Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

Love all the vides in this series for the serger/coverstitch. So refreshing to have creative uses for my serger and coverstitch. My machines are separate units.
This is so cool! I recently fell in love with 12 wt thread for quilting and I love the way you use it here. Thank you for this video. ❤️
Thank you for another great lesson on the serger!
Where can you buy large cones of heavy weight thread? I made a bag using 12 weight thread, and I went through one complete spool.
