- Using a sewing machine to piece quilts is generally the most common way to put things together. We had the Serger out so why not put a quilt together with it too. Always amazing what can be done with a little time, specific tools and patience.

This is so helpful! I was wondering how to piece scraps into a garment without adding an extra layer! I’m going to experiment with using my serger! Thanks for the inspiration!

I’m a new beginner thanks so much, loved your video!
The colors are beautiful I love the burgundy and the Grey together the Grey is a nice soft color
I was lucky and was given a surger. I have made quillows for everyone. Really easy. 2 1/2 yds. Of fleece fabric. Surge the edges. Blanket is 2 yds. piece. Cut a 18" piece from the leftover strip. Sew 18" piece onto the center of one shorter ends sew 3 sides to make pocket.
Thanks for the video! 💚
Thanks for demonstrating! I still have my Bernette 334DS from the 90's. A serger is a handy thing to have. I don't (currently) piece with my serger. However, it has several uses for quilters. I use it to put a narrow edge on any quilt top that I've finished that I'm not ready to sandwich yet. It keeps the end seams together and checks raveling. I also trim and neaten the edges of my completed quilt before adhering the binding. (Though I know I could combine the step!). I have bought, but have not yet used (as I have managed to misplace the product!), fusible thread to put the in lower looper to allow the binding to roll over and be fused down.
Did you know? Using the 2 thread flatlock feature is a fantastic way to join your Franken-batting.
Ever thought of sergering on the binding?
I love to serge, like I love free motion, I really like going fast! Please make more videos for quilting with a serger! Good video, which 3 thread stitch did you use?
I made all my masks with my serger.
