Lori, thanks for this video! I’m not a beginner, but have never used my serger to sew my piecing for a quilt. Wow! I’ll use this for my granddaughters Christmas gift for 2022. Super.
This turned out beautiful, really like the surging stitch for all the seams. I have never seen this done, and I like it. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. ❤
I am new to serging but not new to sewing or quilting. Your tutorial was excellent and full of useful ideas and techniques. Keep up the good work. You've won a new viewer.
Thank you I am new to serging and quilting and making my first jelly roll quilt ! you answered many questions to give me inspiration to continue and finish it..
I have been using the serger to make clothing and this shows me how to use the serger for quilts. I plan to serge the edges instead of rag quilting. Awesome 😎
Anne, I’m so excited this has opened up a new avenue for you and your serger! I too have created lots of clothing using my serger. I really enjoy using it for much more. :)
This is my first time I have seen your videos, thank you for such an interesting time. I have a Babylock Gloria and had not thought of quilting with it before now. This will certainly encourage me to try this in the future.
Enjoyed this project. Fast and easy, thank you. You mentioned you live in SW Louisiana. I hope your home did not get destroyed by Hurricane Laura. Your area is in my prayers.
Karen, sorry I’m just commenting 🙃. You must live in Louisiana also. Praise God we were spared the destruction where I live. Thank you for your prayers. Glad you enjoyed the project 🤗🤗🤗
I currently live in Kentucky, my home state. But in the late 80’s I lived in Leesville and Fort Polk, Louisiana where my husband was a chaplain in the army. I also enjoyed you presentation yesterday with Mike Johns through The Stitchery. I have a Solaris, Triumph, Coronet Aventura II and hopefully soon a Euphoria(ordered by hasn’t arrived). Thoroughly enjoy my Babylock machines!
Lori, this is a fantastic project. I like to use my serger (single needle though) to serge the edges of a quilt top to keep them from unraveling as they incubate in the quilt purgatory!
Lori the projects you are making are so beautiful, will you hold them up when you are finished or get a full shot of the finished project? I would love to see a full view of them. I am really enjoying watching your videos. Thank you so much.
Hi Lori! I just watched your video. I am looking at this Babylock serger and seriously thinking this is the one I would like. After watching your video I was wondering if it would have been possible to do a wave edge on this quilt? I am definately more in the "beginner" stage of a serger user I currently have a Babylock Imagine serger which is quite basic compared to yours. But I love to quilt and I do own the Babylock Solaris 2 and want to expand my projects. I would love any input you might have! Thank you!
Hi Colleen, Our journey of sewing and serging is so exciting! I had the Babylock Imagine for years. It's a great machine as well. Yes absolutely you could do the Wave Stitch around this quilt. If you are interested in more fun Serger project and education options along with me, I have a club .... "Serge Fun Club" you can go to sergefunclub.com for an overview. If you aren't already a member it's something you may enjoy.
@@lorihernandez9762 Thank you! I will definitely look into this. I am working with my local dealer right now to help me decide on the machine. I recently bought my Babylock Solaris 2 from them and just LOVE it! So I am thinking having the new serger would be a great plus to have to combine projects! I really enjoy your videos! Thank you!
This is a fun project. I didn’t know until I started watching serger videos that one can use decorative threads.
Your definitely my favourite teacher x
Thank you! 😃

I think you just inspired me to try my first quilt. Thank you
You can do it! I'm so excited to hear that :)
Me too!
It looks great! I bought a surgery last week and I think I will try this on my own jelly rolls.
So Exciting!
I love your tutorials. Your attitude is delightful as well 😊
Super fun project! Thanks for the start to finish vids!
Kelly Edgerton thanks for watching Kelly :)

Dee, I'm so happy to hear that! :) Thanks for watching and I enjoyed reading your comment.
Very pretty.
I would love to have seen a picture of the whole quilt with the serged edges, panned and close up too. Great job on a beautiful quilt ♥️

YOU ARE SO PRETTY.
Thank you Nita. I hope you enjoyed the project :)
Great
Very interesting project. What machine are you using and what is the model? I like the grid feature 🤗
Hi Nana, I'm using my Babylock Solaris for the quilting. It has the Projector features which gives you the grid option. :)

@@colleendee5781 If you can get the Triumph, that's the way to go! You will be very pleased. :)
Does my destiny two have that grid thing that Solaris does???
Caren, no you do not have that in your Destiny. This is a feature that works along with the projector that the Solaris has.
What kind of machine is that? I now wish I had one.
