I mean the centre button could stay like it is if they made it mappable. It would make it usable for a lot of different scenarios and for different preferences.
The mixer (or more accurately an Audio Interface) allows you to connect an XLR microphone to your PC. Removing a whole lot of detail here: The microphone picks up your voice, the audio interface then processes that voice. If you have a really good microphone and a bad interface it is still going to sound bad. If you are using a USB microphone you don't need a mixer (in fact that is one of the big benefits) and you can just do everything in OBS, but for XLR mics you need one of these and the massive benefit is that you get a really finetuned control over your microphone and usually a better quality sound.
Is there anything like this in existence for a USB mic? I'm contemplating a 2 PC setup and haven't had a whole lot of luck with a mixer option to split audio.
So, for USB mics this is a little more difficult, because splitting is not as easy. However, if you are going to have a 2 PC setup, why would you need a microphone on both PCs? Is it because you need your teammates to hear you in the game and be heard on stream?
@@ContentDelta yes and not only that but I’d like to not have the 2nd one on if I’m not streaming too. I think I’m going to be ok on a single PC setup, but my mind is always thinking into the future and utilizing what I already have.
It's really great

That is also a really good idea! The current setup just doesn't seem very workable.
a mixer? if your mic isnt that good, its your mic?
What do you need a mixer for exactly?
i use OBS its really good
