Glad to hear you got to replay a childhood classic. There's no better feeling than finding a game you enjoyed in the past still playable/preserved today by the gaming community.
I have! There used to be a Mach Storm cabinet at the Dave & Buster's that my family and I go to once in a blue moon, though unfortunately nowadays it's gone. Not sure what caused that Dave & Buster's to remove it, but I'm still a little salty about it haha. Hopefully they'll bring it back.
A few things, First of, beyond the game's actual quality, I think its title is genuinely one of the coolest string of words ever. Second of, this video is the first time I have seen more than just a split second clip of the game, and because of that I think it's quite funny that, as soon as I saw the notification of the video I knew exactly you would be talking about Afterburner: Climax even though they were zero hints that would make it obvious to someone like me who hadn't even seen the box-art of the game even once in passing. Third of, having now seen a much more subsential amout of gameplay of ths game, I can now confidently say that it terrifies me to look at on a level comparable to an Ultrakill bossfight. I am genuinely horrifed at the prospect of trying the game, not because it looks anything else than awesome, but because it looks like it's going to make me feel like a fetus trying to play it. Fourth of, the video itself was pretty good and hearing you pour out all your love for this game after a long day of not doing so hot and watching youtube videos about stuff being bad was very refreshing, and if someday I get over my fear of sucking ass at an arcade game a year older than me then I might give it a shot, but it is gonna live in my head rent free until then.

Have you ever tried Mach Storm? Its an arcade game that uses assets from AC Assault Horizon and the main character pilot the CFA-44.
