My problem with sublimation being regarded as the key to paradise is the same reason why SOMAs ending makes sense. It's not you that goes to the digital world. It's not your consciousness but a copy. It's a paradise you'll never get to personally experience. It'll be lights out for you eventually, sublimation or not.

There's a PvE gamemode which I got back into in 2021 after years of not playing, it's Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer! It's still played to this day, there's a small community still active in there. But sadly, I stopped playing late last year due to burnout from work.

Amen my dude! With all the PvP games that ruined their aestetic, have bad SBMM, cheating, or fomo crap, PvP is exhausting. PvE focused games have been my main multiplayer & mostly fix this

You literally summed up Escape from Tarkov for me. When they added PVE and I started playing that instead I started enjoying EFT more. Enough to where it's ruined other shooters for me because of how in depth I can make my guns my own.

Completely agreed, man! Too bad that's not where the big money comes from in AAA games, because PvE is all I play anymore. ...sorry to derail this and change the subject, but this is super important to me as a casual yet dedicated gamer. This is my hobby of choice, and I utterly love it. But I personally feel like NO game should be _absolutely_ online-only. It's just such a massive waste of effort and potential when a promising project is sent out into the world to compete with every other multiplayer game, every other game in general, every other possible use of one's time _at all..._ Like I understand that investing in AI could cause indie developers extra headaches and derail the focus of their efforts if they do just wanna make a multiplayer-focused experience. But it's better that their efforts remain accessible within a game that's playable in SOME form, rather than all of that having been a waste when the population inevitably dies down and complete lobbies are impossible to form. Supporting offline play where server and population status don't matter is the only true way to keep one's game playable for as long as possible. If one truly IS proud of their game and what they put into it, wouldn't they want to give it the best chance for it to live as long as possible? I certainly would :o On a similar note, it's utterly inexcusable for PvE and single-player modes to require an internet connection. I don't care if calculations are done server-side, I paid for the thing, let me host my own dang instance. I friggin HATE that video games are more business than art form these days >~< Money may be the reason games are still made on a large scale, but that shouldn't come at the cost of fun and preservation. All of this manufactured scarcity, needlessly and forcibly-injected kill-switches, rushing to meet deadlines while skipping past quality and polish... I don't want to hate any game. I don't want any game to fail. I want to love and appreciate as many as possible! It shouldn't be publishers versus gamers, it should be a mutual journey to make the best software possible! Every time! I want to love PvP, but games are too big now. There's too much perceived to be at stake, and there are too many randoms who just won't play fair. To win some, lose some, improve and have fun. It can't just be fun anymore. I feel trapped in single player games. I truly love them, don't get me wrong.. but every time I try PvP again for a taste of the exhilarating fun I remember, I'm swiftly reminded why I gave it up. Please, every developer ever, this is an open request to all of you. Please invest in single player, PvE, and offline. It's worth it. That's what I pay for, and I just won't buy in if a game doesn't have that. But don't do it for me, do it for you and your game. It's worth it.

I was typing up a script about the importantence of bots in video games when this video dropped. Fair to say you took the words right out of my mouth. I've happily played nearly 6000 hours of Arma 3 with AI and friends without a single PVP match (besides from shits and giggles with friendos) How is Battlefield 2042's AI mode? I'm assuming it has limitations placed upon it so it's not a true 1:1 experience with the PVP.. Also your fursona getting angry with the angry sticker made my day :3

You have NO IDEA.... how much i agree with everything in this video. Personally, i almost exclusively cater to coop games now days, with just a couple of exceptions.

I’m getting laptop because if the game doesn’t have steam cloud it won’t transfer your steam deck and I’m 99 percent sure(I’m not 100 percent sure) it won’t let you transfer to your next steam deck you buy Also won’t even save purchase(on a new videos games)when you buy the new steam deck. Theirs ways to transfer game games that don’t have steam cloud, but I cant find something simple to transfer everything.

Actually, the end game is kinda sad and already finished. After the battle happened in your default map, completing and clearing different countries as well as clearing the Citadel. For me, the game mechanic for this game sequel is balanced you have to be efficient with your resources and also to farm for resources. Yes, it might be grindy but the more I play game. I just can't stop playing upgrading my teams, building my teams and upgrading the base. You don't need to buy in game resources or characters if you don't want to. Yes, it might take weeks or a month to complete the game but, hell. I love this game. The game itself is perfect. I hope they can keep this gem. And, I don't think they don't need to add another sequel for this. The ending itself is already perfect, ending the B2B franchise. I'm almost to completing this game as of now. APEX is one of a badass enemies especially their predator which is kinda cool.

I don’t think any other game has made me feel like a hero like this game. Even epic open world rpgs where you are the destined chosen one don’t give me the same feeling of fighting for something greater than hearing my wingmen cheering me on and the fear and reverence of the enemy as my ribbon emblazoned fighter flies forth. And I’ve never met an adversary who I respected more than Yellow 13. No other game has made me feel like I mattered in the world. This game deserves to be near the top of any greatest game list. I encourage anyone who hasn’t to play it. I also wish someone would make a show about these games, though there’s something pure about the games that probably adds to how great they are.

I still remember the first time I played it through and chopper got shot down. I've never fought harder in a game than after that moment. How you describe it is exactly how I felt. I think it's time to fire it up and play it again.

Can't disagree more. HAWX series compared to Ace Combat provides a much more realistic and challenging experience while still having its arcade nature. Something that you can't find on AC. And I think HAWX 2 was much better mostly on harder difficulties when you had to go back to base to refuel and rearm. I also enjoyed the Plan control on HAWM much more than AC.

that's mainly why i stopped playing The Crew 2, knowing it would just meet the same fate as it's predecessor gave me less of a reason to return to it

*The game Agents of Mayhem had its servers shut down in 2020 without any warning, which to some doesn't sound problematic, since the game is 99.99 percent single player anyway.* *Except that the other .01 percent had these contracts that for some reason required Internet in order to complete them, and this ONE stupid achievement required you to complete some of these contracts, rendering some unable to 100 percent the game, all because some moron devs were too lazy to put a simple patch that could have easily fixed this simple issue*

I would've preferred OFF mode if it didn't have such a stupid camera angle and if only it was just behind the aircraft like in third person but with all of the HUD elements turned off.

When I heard The Crew was shutting down I immediately started playing the game for the entirety of March until the very last day. I did around 35 offenses (cop chases essentially), and for the first time tried online races! Given I was literally 5 when the game released (I’m 15 now) I’m glad it’s apart of me growing up. Hopefully the guys at The Crew Unlimited get the servers up again!

To me Carbon was the weakest of them all. It just feels lackluster and unfinished. Can't explain but there is a reason why I don't come back to this title at all.

Games should NEVER be online only. Otherwise, you'll never play the game again eventually. I can still play games. I love Killzone, and despite server shut downs, it's playable with bots. many aren't.

I just went back and played Battlefield 4 after removing 2042 for the umptenth time and holy shit it was like a return to form. I was getting kills and having fun rather than wanting to scream in frustration.

When they shut down the servers in 2022 or 2023 i think, polyphony digital released an offline patch for gran turismo sport, it was surprising but a welcomed surprise

I'm among the first who got a steam deck, and still love it. While I have a gaming PC that is pretty amazing, I find the Steam Deck just wonderful. BTW, I have 189 verified games, and 266 "playable" games. Of course, I buy cheap games during the seasonal sales, and humble bundles. But over 77 percent of my game library is supported. I bought the 512 model, and have two 512 SD cards.
