The step thru has less ground clearance, which may effect riding off trails.
That's why I'm going with the original xp
I noticed how close his foot was coming to the ground while peddling the step thru and all I could think was "yikes, maybe too low".
Thanks. This helped me decide in favor of the Step-Thru version over the regular XP (for the 2.0 models just released May 2021). Given greater speed of ebikes and their tank-weight, anything that adds to safety at high or low speed is a plus. So, Step-Thru's lower center of gravity, and allowing foot on pedal to be a couple inches closer to the ground definitely more useful in dense urban street environment with frequent need to wait at lights and keep bike upright rather than tilted to one side so foot can be on the ground.
Just ordered the XP Step-Thru....so very excited!!!! I know there will be a long wait for delivery, but well worth the wait. Jeremiah, thank you so much for all your informative videos. Having your video support is one of the main reasons I chose this bike. I especially like the way you expertly present the information. Easy to understand and to the point... no unnecessary chatter and repetitiveness. Well Done! Will purchase your suggested accessories as soon as financially feasible....75 years "young" and on a fixed income.
That’s Awesome Nancy! Thank you for the kind words I really appreciate that!
Xlnt review, thanks! Was all set to buy one XP and one Step Thru, keeping with the men’s/women’s traditional styles. However, the incompatible battery issue, no matter how infrequent it may arise, convinced me to just buy 2 Step Thru bikes. I see some others (men) did similarly. The lower center of gravity may also help on these small wheelbase bikes, and pedal ground clearance appears to work. I’ll retrain my brain as unisex bikes. These should work great for our 1st RV trip....can’t wait!
I'm thinking the same. My only worry is how sturdy the step thru is. realistically these aren't made for extreme off road so I think they will be fine. still I'm 230lbs so...
Ditto
I ordered the original (because they sold out of step through in white) and can't wait to try it! I want to use the bike as a means to get to and from work, which is about 10-11 mile trip. I know nobody cares, but this is my first ebike and I'm super exited :D
I care, congratulations and hope its its everything you want
I'm going with regular XP because it's a stronger frame, more manly. Also those 2 extra inches on the trails will be great.
Excellent videos, we have two XP’s for a year now and they have been awesome. Now my wife is very interested in the step through design. Glad you guys were able to receive one!
Thank you TC Boone!
For those of you deciding to get one of each. Remember that the battery will not be interchangeable!
Got my step-thru today. I get full leg extension comfortably. Its like a elliptical with a seat.
Also nice not having a crotch puncher.
Also nice being able to fold it and store it in tight living arrangements.
Its shape makes the cargo package feel so sleek and copacetic. Its like a scooter combined with an elliptical with a seat.
Great comparison!! Looking forward to more reviews on the step-thru!
Thanks, your reviews of both Lectric bikes is very helpful.

You Always do a Great job of explaining everything...Keep up the great work...
Interesting comparison. Pedal strikes and curb hopping would be my concerns. Please consider these when you take the step thru on your next ride. I lean into turns and purposefully raise the pedal on the side that I'm turning towards. Pretty sure I learned that from YT Lectric XP videos. Happy riding !!
If you raise the pedal on the side you’re turning into and don’t pedal in turns you will never strike a pedal on the ground If you do you’re a bad MAMAJAMA! That is if the tires don’t slide out first lol.
i find your videos so helpful! i just ordered my lectric xp a couple days ago! :))
Awesome and thank you!
Thank you for doing the comparisons!
This is fantastic! Thanks for doing the measurements!
Love the B-roll at 1:36 lol
Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Because of your excellent video, I just ordered 2 XP Step-Thrus. Thank you !!! They said shipping would be in 3 to 5 weeks.
Awesome! I’m sure You’re going to love them!
Awesome! I’m sure You’re going to love them!
Good comparison. Since the crank arms are about 2" lower to the pavement, have you noticed any problems when corning if the inside pedal is in the low (6 o'clock) position? As an avid cyclist, I know that as good practice you should never have the inside pedal in the low (6 o'clock) position to avoid the pedal from hitting the pavement, but a novice cyclist may have a problem remembering this. With the standard XP, this was not a problem since the crank arms are so high off the ground, more so than standard bikes. I wish the step trough version was available when I bought my wife's XP. She had a problem with the seat being so high (when adjust for proper leg extension) that her feet could not touch the ground, so I had to lower her seat all the way down after she had several falls due to this problem. 👍
Sonny this Bike would probably definitely be a better fit for her then with the pedals being lower.
I tried to measure the angle of the bike when leaned and the pedal in the 6 o’clock position touching the ground and you can lean the bike between 20 to 25° depending on the pedal position when the crank is at 6 o’clock.
I also just took it for a spin in the grass and tried to lean as much as possible in PS1 to make the tightest turn while pedaling and the pedals never hit the ground.
I think unless you were leaning this over going very fast and cornering like on a crotch rocket I don’t think you would have a problem.
That’s a good question and I may add this to my list of topics for a future video.
Thanks Sonny
Jeremiah Mcintosh how tall are you? Just curious
I had this same question too: is there a danger of pedal/foot/toes hitting ground on the inside of turn (please be careful! Trying to demonstrate this can be result in painful/costly if not fatal catastrophe!).
I'm guessing/hoping that the amp hour (AH) rating of the battery is the same? (I think you said the original was 10.4 AH?) (Since both bikes are 48 volts (thirteen (13) 3.7 volt LG batteries in series), the 10.4 AH is very likely created by arranging 4 cells in parallel, and I assume each cell has a 2.6AH capacity. So I guess 13s4p (13 series and 4 parallel) 52 total cells in the pack for both bikes?
You are correct the amp hour is the same on both batteries at 10.4
Great job. Now we know XP has much better clearance for offroading or even curb hoppin'
Glad you pointed out the battery difference. That's going to change lots of minds I think on buying one of each. I hope they come out with an adapter or something like you said.
I don’t think an adapter would work now because the frame would’ve had to been designed differently so that the original battery would go up in further and then have an adapter. Like I said not even sure if this could have been done.
What a disappointment that they didn't design the step-thru & regular batteries to be compatible! Seems like it is totally do-able. Was that only for a profit motive? (I'll bet all owners that bought extra batteries are pissed!)
No I don’t believe it was for profit I honestly they had to have the frame at that angle for it that actually fold correct. On a good note at least the batteries are only $300 versus some other brands that are $5 to $550!
To be honest I think they had to do it that way to make it fold correctly I don’t think it was a money motive. If that’s the case they would’ve just raised the price of the bikes but they were able to keep the cost low. On a good note at least the batteries are $300 and not $550 like some other brands!
I think I'm gonna give my Step-Thru to my mom & order the XP😛 I don't like how low the pedals are, I feel like I'm gonna hit my toes & have them pulled back under the pedals, so I have to pedal carefully🤔 which I don't like having to have my mind on my foot placement while trying to enjoy the ride.
Haha… same! 🤣 also when going thru sidewalks in/out, corners, rough and/or uneven terrain or mild off-roading, with the step-thru I’d be always worried, which would destroy the enjoyment overall especially since we cannot compared them just by watching a video even as good as this, impossible to judge to one’s liking without riding them both 🥴
Thanks for the great comparison of the two bikes! May have to get the step thru for my wife and daughter. Look forward to your Videos!
Thank you!
Your videos were definitely instrumental in my recent purchase of an Lectric E bike
Thank you Cindy!
As we get ready to purchase 2 bike, your videos have been very helpful in deciding between the XP and Step-Thru. Thank you and keep up the nice work!
Thank you!
Top notch video sir. They could have done a few things differently but over all it looks like a winner! A 899$ it is an absolute bargain. Looking forward to that drag race!
Great presentation, recently I got my bike with multiple problems. One main concern the frame latch opens up when riding the bike; a serious safety issue. Made adjustments as directed by Lectric but the latch continues to open (fully) while riding. If you're buying a bike from them make sure they correct that problem. Personally I would walk away from this bike and seek something more safe even if it cost more. Sorry Jeremiah to mention this on your channel but I think buyers should be aware of that issue. Peace brother.
Don’t be sorry for mentioning anything on my channel if it’s a problem that should be addressed and known. With that being said both latches do work excellent on my bike and stay latched with the locks. I did check them once I heard of the issue on the Facebook forum but everything seems fine. I did have to adjust the one slightly on the step through to tighten it up a little but the locking mechanisms work perfect.
@@JeremiahMcintosh The new frame latch has a spring button safety lock. Again, it's just something to mentioned to Lectric to check out before buying it. Overall have fun with it and be safe in this pandemic.
I gotta think if the latch was defective Lectric XP would make it right???
@@wunhotttuna Sure, they offer to give me a full refund and return the bike.
Ride Share Biz That’s pretty good warranty! General Motors won’t do that! 👊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
thx 4 the explanation about these two bikes. I have the normal one and ordered my wife the step-thru one. its been almost a month and haven't received the bike yet.
I don’t think they are shipping yet but should be in the next few weeks.
Hey, here is a fun thought: swap the fenders between the bikes. It will look like 2 police bikes! Just for fun.....
Great in-depth comparison. 👍
Like your reviews. I ordered one of each 2 weeks ago. Good info on all your videos. Thanks
Thank you Tom!
How long did it take to get the new bike delivered.
Hopefully getting my XP tomorrow...Thanks for the review, great information....Can't wait to ride it!
Thanks, I just purchased the step through. Can't wait until it gets here, and now I have good information. Different from my Ecotric.
Ordered a step-thru a few days ago, can't wait!!
What did they say was the wait time for it to come in?
Just got it yesterday, ordered 8/29
I watched a video yesterday with the original XP, fixing a flat on the back tire and the owner had a very difficult time...actually needed help putting the wheel back on because if the way it was designed, with just the on long curving arms on both sides pinching in. The step-thru is a more traditional frame on the back end, and I can tell just by looking at it, that you will not have that same problem.
I believe even the newer xp are good now and I don’t have any problems with mine. I have removed mine twice now
Jeremiah, very informative review. I noticed the derailer is flat out from the bike where you attached the drop-down panniers. My Lectric XP, once unboxed, had dents on each side of the front fork and the derailer is flat against the bike (and it will not budge). I am afraid to try it out if this might affect performance or be a safety hazard. Also, the battery will not come out of the case even though the holding button is all the way in. Can you tell if they shipped me a "dud" or if these issues are not safety issues. I never heard back from Levi when addressing the dents upon arrival. I would appreciate your input. I noticed you pulled a derailer out and made it look so easy. Thank you for the honest review.
If it’s a safety concern I would wait to hear back from them. Did you remove the rubber plug when trying to remove the battery? Send them photos in an email then call customer service.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Jeremiah, I was able to get the battery out; now with battery out and seat post out the bike is significantly lighter, as I had hoped, for me to lift for transport. As you suggested, I am going to inquire directly with customer service with picture before riding to see if safety might be compromised with the derailer. Thank you for your quick response. Truly appreciate your reviews.
The video was great , learned a lot! I have a 4 month old original XP, tommorow, I'm ordering a step-thru. At 5-7 tall and in my 70's the step-thru will solve the mounting problem I have. The original XP will sale for close to the original price, because the XP was and is such a good deal. Thanks for your help 🚴
Thank you! At least you have a Lectric to ride until you get the Step-thru!
That’s a nice video. I am waiting on my white XP Stepthru mid August so it’s nice to get those hi def closeups. 👍
Thanks Ed I’m glad you appreciated it. Apparently some people didn’t and said it was a waste of their time and I should just get to the point. So thank I appreciate that!
Jeremiah Mcintosh you’re welcome. Your style is your style, lol, that’s why there’s different breakfast cereals, automobiles, electric bikes...😎👊😁. Don’t sweat criticism; you’re out here doing something. When they get their channel going, they can tell us all about how to do it. 😁
Lol your exactly right! 👍
Can you tell me the distance from the bottom of the pedals to the ground on both models?
Looks like you were pretty close to hitting your shoe off the ground while pedaling the step through.
I’d like to compare those measurements to my current bike.
I like the fact that you feel the step through has a lower center of gravity.
Great video! Thanks!
I'd like to know the distance from the bottom of the pedal to the ground also! Also the pedal length, from the centerline of the crank to the center line of the pedal screw. My current folding bicycle with 20 inch tires has short pedals (6 inches), so I dislike riding it. My other bicycles with 26 inch tires have pedal lengths about 6.75 inches....Much better!
Thanks for the comparison 👍 now all I can do is wait
Excellent informational content as usual !!!
Thanks as always for your in depth comparison!
Thx for choosing tasteful music.
Jeremiah thank you so much for doing all these videos on the Lectric Step-Thru. How many inches of ground clearance is there with the lower pedals? I want to be able to go a little bit off-road occasionally. My daughter-in-law has the regular XP and I love riding it. But at 65 I'm thinking the Step-Thru might be a better option down the road.
I hear you about the regular XP. I have an Ecotric. Because of my bad left leg, I'm switching to the XP step through.
Thanks for your quick reply. I need to narrow my decision between models pronto!
Thank you for the comparison.. I use a repurposed patio umbrella stand w/a closet pole in the stand to support the bike for service. No need to turn the bike upside down or use a flimsy stand. With the seat still in place, I just lift the bike and place the bottom of the seat post tube over the closet pole and lower down. That won't be happening w/the step-through and since I perform my own service/mod work, may complicate the decision to purchase the step-through for my 5'-11" 'honey-bunny'..
Nope definitely can’t do that with the step through but you can get a bike stand fairly reasonable for around $60
@@JeremiahMcintosh I saw that stand and do not have faith in it's support...
5'11" don't need no step thru 😏
@@AntPorr Correction: 5'11" 'doesn't need a/any step through'.......!
Thank you soooooo much for measuring the step over height. I am really thinking about this bike.
Your welcome Marilyn! They are great bikes and we love ours !
Thank you for this helpful video. We got 2 of the step troughs today!
Awesome! Enjoy!
Great video and thanks for giving such great details. I just ordered the step threw using your link. I hope you get something from it. I hope to be getting that rack bag as well.
Thanks for the videos, keep them coming and please show the cargo box, and looking to add the Omni track MTX track to the rack so that I can use the MTX
I have to rethink getting eBikes for my wife and myself. We have two bike shops in our town. Both sell and service ebikes. One sells Specialized and Giant and the other sells Trek and Electra. All of those cost more than I'm willing to spend. So the only options are to buy online and to get a Lectric XP or other similar brand. The problem is, neither bike shop I contacted will service or repair ebikes that they don't sell. I am not a young man anymore so doing the work myself would be very difficult at best. I think I should just give up on the idea of getting eBikes unless someone has a better idea.
I would look around and try to find a bike shop that will work on the XP and if not it is their loss in my opinion for not wanting to make that money. Once you find a bike shop that’s willing to work on it I would stick with that one even if you decided to buy another bike I would buy from the shop that would work on any of them.
Always really enjoy your video's. Like that additional headlight that you have on your Black XP. I ordered a Black XP, it is supposed to arrive on Thursday. Its gonna be fun!!
Thanks Robbie are you referring to the round thing with the red center? That is an alarm/horn
@@JeremiahMcintosh OK thanks, I thought it was a headlight.
Got my bike Friday. Went on a nice ride this morning. Super fun so far!!
Awesome! We are out on a family ride right now. About 10miles in so far.
Because of this video I am changing my order from 2 XP's to 2 Step-Thru XP's. Black for me and White for her!
That’s a good choice you’re going to love them!
Why??
Thanks again for clear easy to follow review
You’re welcome. Thank you 🙏
Helpful information. Thanks!
Thanks for the comparison: now I'm actually leaning towards the Step-Thru... I'm 6'4" and I like to have the seat at a height that I can just put my foot on the ground (or at least the front of my foot heel up a bit), so that I don't need to get off the saddle when I stop... seems to me that the 2 extra inches of the pedals will be beneficial for riding/pedaling comfort on the Step-Thru...
Absolutely that 2 inches does make a difference for both short and tall riders.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Any arguments for the XP? Any downsides you can think of going with the Step-Thru?
Not really. There is 2” less on the pedal clearance and I don’t think it is a problem but it might be for some people depending on your style of riding.
Have you seen my size comparison video on the original xp? If not definitely watch that first. I think you will be happy with either bike.
@@TheCruisinCrew which one did you get? I just ordered the new Lectric XP3.0
This was a helpful comparison. I have an XP on order and might be getting a second bike for my wife. This will be helpful in deciding to get her the original or step through. Thanks.
You’re welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this video. Really helped make my decision on which one to order!
Glad to help!
BTW, Thanks for the comparison video, as well as the others. A big help in the DM Process!
Your welcome sorry I could not be of more help on your other question.
Because of your video, I just ordered the XP!
▪
How is it ?
🟥
Again, great video. But still another question. Demonstrate putting battery in and removing it. Doesn't the angle make it harder? This can be tricky, with the weight of bike.
Yes the battery is slightly more difficult to remove and install on the step thru.
Great video!!! Helps with my decision in which to purchase
Happy to have helped!
I bought my Lectric XP in January 2020 to get rid of excess weight. I ended up losing 77 pounds, and my legs are like tree trunks. I have 2 batteries and have travelled 65 miles round trip. I currently have 2400 miles on my ebike. Life is great... or, was great. Last week, at 2400 miles, the bike broke down electronically. Left me stranded, twice. Had to walk home several miles. Lectric company says it’s still under warranty, but will take a long time to get the part needed to fix. Coming from China and from I got from the tech, this prob is happening to thousands of Lectric bikes. So, I stop riding for how long? A month, maybe2 or 3.... I don’t think so. I am going to buy another bike from another brand cuz this one is no longer reliable. It’s just taking up space in my bike barn. The unfortunate part is I just finished building my solar bike barn so my bike is propelled by sun and keto... I hope Lectric realizes that my warranty is on pause until it is fixed. They can’t take a month or several months and expect the warranty to keep running. So, if u want this bike, I totally recommend it. Just have secondary transportation and Uber on stand by. P.s. no public transportation where I live. ur on ur own here
Thank you for a excellent job in the comparison of the two bike's !
You’re welcome
Thanks for the video. I only wished you did a turning test on the ST to see how much slant is allowed before the pedals hit the pavement. I know you mentioned to have the pedal high on the side of the turn. But, during an emergency situation, you may not have time to adjust. I also heard the crank on the ST is slightly back compared to the standard. How does this impact the pedaling and ride?
I would cut down tube so I can lower the bar down since I am only 5'4 tall.
Your video helped us decide to get one of each.
Excellent video, thanks.
Great comparo! I rather have the original model because the pedal is higher off the ground so it should be better when ridding off payment. Thank you.
My pleasure glad you found my video helpful!
JEREMIAH -Would love to see a video to demo a mini ramp used to roll the bike onto the bike carrier. Many of us that have purchased this bike and the Bike Carrier you recommended cannot lift 60 pounds onto a rack - therefore the need for the mini-ramp. Thank you.
I normally hold the back brake pull up on the front and put the front wheel in first and then lift the back that way you’re only lifting one wheel at a time.
Kuat Access Bike Ramp for NV 2.0 Family Bike Rack
Firs class comparison...thanks, as just what I was looking for!
I’m undecided on which one to get. I’m 5’10 225lbs and would use this to get around sometimes off road. Mostly going over grass if need be. I’m afraid of the pedal catching the sidewalk on turns. Not fun.
Great video, just what I was looking for.
Even better than you think!
Thanks Jeremiah for the info. I am thinking of getting my wife a step thru. I have a black original XP.
Do it she will love it!
Jerimaih I have a recommendation for you letric xp. If you still have a problem with it you can ask letric to give you another pair of the speedometer
Hi Jeremiah. Love your videos. Can you answer this question. I heard changing the rear tire on the classic XP can be very difficult, costly and time consuming. In fact the rear forks have to be “spread out” (mechanically) to get the rim to drop out, and there are some “tricky little parts” to deal with. Is this true for the step through model as well? It seems that the frame design (in the rear) on the step through model is a more traditional (triangle) shape, and the rear tire would be easier to mount and dismount. This will be a huge issue for me in deciding between the XP or the step through model. I like the XP's sporty look, but tire problems i do not need! Thanks in advance!
I have not changed the rear wheel on the step through yet so I can’t verify how hard or easy that would be but I have taken my wheel off the original XP twice without any issues. I’ve heard that the newer bikes are easier than the very first bikes they produced but I can’t be 100% sure.
With that being said if you watch my other videos where I changed my freewheel and fixed my speedometer issue you will see that I took the wheel off and reinstalled it twice without any spreader bars just by pulling apart the frame slightly by hand.
I’m gonna say no for the step-thru.
RUclips “Lectric 2.0 step thru upgrade cassette” that’s the rear sprockets to get a lower climbing gear for pedaling. It involves removing the rear wheel to switch out the cassette, you do have to keep some hub spacers in place while you manuever the wheel into position between the rear “forks” as you slip the brake disk between the pads, but there was definitely no spreading the rear “forks” or whatever they’re called.
Great content and good info on the comparison details; couldn't come to us at a better time when I'm contemplating getting a step-thru (already have and original XP for close to a year). I think that a complete video could have also compare the bikes side-by-side in the folded position. Can you reply with comments on this? Do they occupy the same space in height, or is the S-T lower/shorter? Another question: where did you get the non-ergonomic grips on the XP? Thank you!
These are the grips I have. amzn.to/2DAHb4j

Excellent review! Great job!
Well!! I thought it was too quick a delivery, it is now tues 27th pm date.. still is pretty quick though. surprised the heck out of me. The rr5 that I had to send back took 6 or 7 weeks. Oh well!!
Having lived in Japan were virtually all bikes are step through, I’ll say I was surprised how much I liked them and I’m a 6’4” guy. The step through is way more convenient for its intended use. It’s what I would buy.
Thank you for your opinion.
Can hardly wait for border reopening so wife and I can road trip to pick up two XPs. 2 Step Throughs should work nicely!
Nice!👍
Great job Jeremiah! Have you tried to haul it the Overdrive K2 bike rack yet? Will the tie down hook reach the lower downtube on the Step- Thru. Keep the videos coming , I bought ours after watching your videos.
I haven’t tried to haul it on either of my bike racks yet but when I do I’ll be sure to do an update.
Jeremy, thank you for another great video. With the handle bar on the Step Thru being a couple of inches higher than the regular XP while the seat is at the same lowest height, does it actually make the Step Thru easier or harder to ride than the XP for a shorter person, say 5'.tall?
I would say it’s easier since the pedal height and center of gravity is lower to the ground.
I wonder how the tread holds up? And thanks for your time , you obviously like your bikes.
Yes we love our bikes!
Looking forward to your review of a bike carrier for the step-thru
Just used the overdrive yesterday and it worked well. The vibrelli test is next!
Great video like always. I just wanted to know, is the Step Thru longer than the original?
It seems like it may be just slightly longer if any but I have not done any firm measurement on it yet I will be sure to update you once I do.
granted the step thru has reinforcement along the battery "tube", but seems like a lot of stress may be put on the bottom bracket due to the end of the battery tube being attached to it. plus the weight of the rider. seems like over time it could start developing stress fractures from riding. i prefer the original and purchased it over the step thru because step thru doesnt appeal to me, especially the battery tube. just dont like it. still waiting for mine to arrive 😔.
How long ago did u order
If you watch my video from last week it explains how I got the bike early.
6 weeks for the original to arrive seemed like an eternity for me, but the wait was worth it. Hang in there 👍😋📅
Great comparison--thanks!
What you're saying about the the step through with lower pedal crank being better for shorter people is incorrect. If both bikes seat heights match and the step through has a lower crank then that's a longer distance and therefore better for taller folks.
My first thought after clicking Jeremiah's video was "I don't care for those sunglasses"...Then I remembered I was not looking for a sunglass evaluation.
Thanks for the very informative, straightforward comparison and overview of this Step-Thru...I have a very short daughter, and your explanation of this bike helped me alot!
Haha you’re welcome. Guess I need to get some new sun glasses 😎
Yes my handle bar looks like the new one on my xp.
Thanks for confirming 👍
Great and imformative videos. Thank you for all the info. Which model is longer in total length?
The original or the step through?
Thanks Allan both bikes are just about exactly the same length overall.
Thank you. This will help me decide.

Looks nice. But I have ordered 2 bike on line and after waiting for a month they never came. So my question is, at they in the USA? Oh you have too many links. Got lost in the weeds. Nice video 😊👍
Yes they are in USA and free shipping to the lower 48 states.
Hi , Great info. My friend bought the XP like yours, I just had a Total hip replacement and found it difficult to get my leg over , so I ordered the XP Step thru. I also like your idea for the black containers. Thanks
Thank you glad you enjoyed them.!
Thanks for the comparison. I will be getting the original and not the step thru.
You’re welcome!
Very informative comparison, thanks. Can you recommend a brighter head & tail lights that we can connect and replace the original ones ?
I don’t know of one that is plug and play but I use a rechargeable light when it gets dark. I preferred to keep this light drawing less power so that I can leave it on during the day as well but not use a lot of power.
Awesome thanks for the info!
@@JeremiahMcintosh It is a low draw light. I rode home one night, with very little extra drawdown on battery.
Tyson I also thank you for that tidbit. I bought an after market headlight, but I would have to cut wires to wire it in and I wasn’t up to that. My wife has the Rad Power bike and the headlight is quite nice. Knowing that I can plug and ply that light on my Lectric is awesome (I hope she doesn’t miss it)... . Guess I’ll need to order one...
Nice job as always. Have you ever considered the front fork suspension upgrade? I’ve seen two others do this but they lack the quality/ style of your content. If not, that is fine just a question of curiosity.
I have thought about it but to be honest where I ride the fat tires are more than enough for me and I didn’t want to add any extra weight to it if there was any. I also did not want to pay the cost of the upgrade.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Air forks added 10oz to mine.
That’s not too bad how much price did it add?
@@JeremiahMcintosh Forks were $124 delivered from China. Folding stem was $25 (Amazon). Headset was $11 from Hong Kong (Ebay). Note they do raise the front and there is no mount for the fender at the wheel spindle - I made two mounting plates that replace the spindle washers.
Since they were sold out on step-thru's, I got the regular XP
I love my XP!
Hi there! Just ordered the bike and wanted to know the allen wrench in the description would be the tool I need to tighten the bolts when I get the bike? also, is that kryptonite chain long enough for most places you lock up your bike? I saw there was a longer version of it so I'm not sure which one to get
It’s Helpful, now I need it in Hawaii ! But where ? Idk ? Will pay for shipping!… !
