Welcome to the channel! Happy you’re here!
Nice shooting Zirn
Outstanding! So rock solid and flawless.
absolute assassin level shooting!
Nice shooting! I was out shooting tonight and my spread was not that great at 10-18yrds. Quite inconsistent over the summer months. I changed my grip and now have arrows all touching in a group. It’s repeatable. It’s like a lightbulb turned on for me. I’m feeling more confident with having over a month still before open season here in Ontario. Cheers!
Dang..that bow is loud 😮
Hahaha, it may sound that way with the camera right next to the limb, but i assure you, this rig is quieter than a selfbow. It’s the quietest bow I’ve ever put together.
@@thepusharchery Awesome grouping 🎯👌
I prefer the shorter 4 fletch on my carbons as well. I have some fletched left and some right, doesn’t seem to make much difference for me. However, I am nowhere near as good a shot. Lol. I just can’t get the hang of a controlled shot. Target panic kills me. Prefer to just hunt close. I will get it under control someday. Lol. Nice shooting!
I feel much better about my 25yd groups now.
Dam Good ,,,,, 👍🏻👍🏻
What kinda tiller do you need gripping the string that far down, where the bow is still quiet with minimal vibration?
I think this one landed at 1/8” negative tiller. These limbs and the DAS connection are money for a quiet bow
What spine arrows are you shooting for your bow?
Sounded like you said your bow side was down and that’s why that one arrow landed real low. What did you mean by that?
My arrow weight is 625 out of this 42 lb bow. Anything past roughly 22 yards, I’ve gotta really be focusing on my bow side being strong with a constant pressure toward the target. At 25 yards, if i am at 90% on the bow side instead of 100%, I’ll drop out low by a few inches.
Very nice shooting, did you borrow the music from Napoleon Dynamite movie..?😅
That’s great shooting! I need to work on getting fixed craw 23-25yds for me would be great. I have to walk so far down the string to get it with my setup right now it’s just not comfortable. I may need to rethink my setup and shoot heavier arrows to get that shorter distance. Any thoughts?
What length arrows are you shooting? These are 34” arrows and really helps get that tip near the target
@@thepusharchery my setup is a black widow 64”PMA 29.5@43lbs. Axis 500 with 200gr total up front. 5/8” nock point. Thanks for the help!
That’s fantastic. What arrow/head setup and and weight are you using? I got my first recurve kill last year and got hooked. Been practicing almost daily for the last month and about back up to an adequate level.
Running 250 gn up front. 625 total arrow weight.
@@thepusharchery I have 200 up front with just over 500 total from a 50lbs bow. Just yesterday, shot a chronograph with it for the first time I was averaging around 180 FPS. Also what are the pros and cons of using 4 fletchings like that?
@@garrettschienschang7898i like 4-fletch because i find my arrow corrects faster and it makes it nice to not have to worry about which direction you snap the arrow on the string. It’s all the same
Do you hunt with a range finder to determine your crawl down the string?
I do hunt with a range finder, but my crawl down the string is the same for all distances. I gap shoot from that brass crawl nocking point. 22 yard point on. Hold bottom of chest for anything under 20. It’s pretty deadly
Never had uukha limbs but they Sound like a staple stamp 😝😅
how much is your total arrow weight and good shooting🤠
625 gns
@@thepusharchery thank you
Nice shooting Matt!! Do you ever deal with string clearance issue in and around your armpit/chest? Specially with anything over a t-shirt.
Every now and then I find that I slightly overdraw by about 1/4" or so and I tend to sometimes get a slight lean back away from the target when I'm getting fatigued. I'll nip the fleshy part of the front of my armpit. Its really annoying, but once it happens once, it reminds me to "lean forward" into my shot which really mean just stand tall. And that contact goes away. For hunting and shooting from a tree stand, I have zero clearance issues with thick clothing.
Nice shooting pal, love your stuff.Your doing well. Are you using any type of clicker or physco trigger? Its not easy to shoot well and takes lots of dedication,I also follow joel
Yes I sure do! I am for sure a triggered shooter, using a grip sear on this bow. I also use the RMSGear SGT grip trigger for hunting. It's really robust.
Is that your point on with the fixed crawl?
No, At this distance I am holding at the bottom of the chest.
What hand grip are you using?
RCore Grip
Why a four fletch configuration?
Very stable and don’t have to worry about orientation snapping on the string. It’s the same either way.
Good rule of thumb... 2 inches per ten yards. So, 4 inch groups at 20 yards. Then 6 inch at 30 and so on. That is for modern traditional equipment. Compound shooters should be half of that ( 1 inch per 10 yards)
Really hoping that you strive for much better than that.
Left wing feathers ? That will make your tips work loose.
Right wing feather. I actually usually use the Top Hat field tips with the rubber o-ring and unscrewing is a non-issue. I put these steel tips in for some testing and they rattle a bit. I usually put a touch of bar-soap on the threads of steel points to keep them from backing out.
TopHat 3D combo points are great 👍🏻
i see deer meat in your freezer soon
Can eye give you advice. Been shooting 50 years never used a sight. Go to split finger and lower your anchor and vary your distance with every shot. You don't want to look at your arrow. Your way is good shooting targets but with allaround shooting long distances and moving targets you will learn to make impossible shots. No practice. Also practice in the dark.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve got 6 perfectly good sights in my quiver at all times, i intend to use them all.
