We had some technical difficulties on this one but overall… we’ll get better and the Turners are amazing.
Much appreciate the three of you taking the time to share this. Really enjoyed it! Stay solid, stay healthy, and be blessed gents!🙏🏼🫡
This was a good one Dan. Whenever it’s Joel and Bodie I’m all ears. Keep it up 👊
Possibly one of my favorite podcast.
Informative and laid back conversation 💪
Amazing pod!
Here I stood thinking I was the only one who if I didn't shoot well that day I wasn't having a good day 😆and wouldn't quit until it was dialed in again. Great pod with amazing archers!
One of the coolest things about ShotIQ is Joel will personally respond to almost all comments, questions, etc. within the course. Very neat to have that personal connection.
Cross over symmetry! Perfect ad. They are a big step up from normal Thera tubes. Everyone needs a set.
MR. Turner’s methodology has changed my archery mindset so much it’s crazy. Until about 6 years ago I had no trouble with shooting. ( started in 1963 with a Bear recurve). I never had or heard of TP or whatever back then. I bow hunted and killed lots of game and predators fairly easily. Then , for whatever reads I developed anxiety like over night. I worked hard and got over that but the thing is Mr. Turner’s technique took me way UP to the highest level of mindset and control like I can’t ever remember having. Why I never transferred his technique to my long range rifle competition is beyond me. For years I have had excellent shot control with a rifle. PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE, this works for sure. Yea! I know some of the science sounds crazy but it’s NOT BS! Want proof? Ever see his son, Bodie, at a comp? 👍👍👍🔥
That picture gives off a glare love the pod man keeps me motivated 💪
Yeees, been waiting!
When you have a Kid/Adult like Bodie how can you root for anyone else. The whole family seems like great genuine people.
Dope pod!
Go Bodie Go!
I want to see you do content on Darton please get one for a video!
Why does Boddy shoot a four finger stan with his competition bow and i see him here on your video shooting a 3 finger stan with his hunting bow. Just wondering why or the reasoning behind it. Thanks
Great convo/pod… this particular format very confusing. Split screen... Bodie talking off camera though appears to be in the room was awkward lol I'm just a fan but wide angle with all three of you guys interacting would've served well for my personal viewing experience today. Appreciate y’all 🤙🏾
You guys are great salesman. I wana come to camp and I don't hunt elk.
How many people get paid in the Vegas tournament in the Pro Division? Does everyone that makes the shoot off get something? Are there fights without payouts to the winners of those lower flights?
depends on your contracts and I believe its only top 3 or the winner
It’s at least top 3. But I thought I heard somewhere that there were other payouts based on placement (not from manufacturing sponsors).
@@byronm7234 maybe i havent shot it yet they may say on the registration sight tho
Any clinics in the PNW (Oregon or Washington) in 2025?
So when Bodie does his you tube channel… he needs to do videos on what Joel talks about when he goes back to bodie at around the 52 minute mark… improvement to stabilization and modifications to equipment to bring them back to sight marks when the climate changes
Go get a hinge with a safety and learn how to activate it and don’t give up on it ,you will find out what a true surprise release is and you will actually know what it is to aim. Best thing you’ll ever do to enjoy shooting your bow.
I understand everybody's got something to learn but I don't think when you just showed up to the scene that you can play everybody else down in getting coaching you know or the other coaches because there is good guys out there you know what I mean so I got to try to put that out there too cuz bodie just kinda of showed up couple years can Joel kind of just said something he said that they introduced Bode to high stress situations from a very young age so pretty much that's what you got to do to learn your shot
Dan i challenge you to come to one of the national ASA tournaments and compete in the Men's Hunter45 class....... Show us what you got!
ASA is so fun. I didn’t make it to any last year and got rid of my target bow.
But I have considered coming and shooting that hunter class this year.
@tannerharris1483 the new Hunter45 class is awesome
Don’t worry about your dog Dan ,let it go bug turner.
ABT !
Enjoy listening to podcast but when watching a split screen format can be distracting. Good talk though. Enjoyed it.
Am I the only one or is something up on the last 2 pods with Dan's microphone. Love the pod having a hard time listening.
There is static in the background and it sounds like he is in a tube somewhat.
Agree
It sounds ok for me
Yaw need to do a video of bodie vs Paige pierce at Josh jones course epic and elk shape get Paige on the pod man
Bodi keeps saying he is going to go to some ASA's but he never does. His shot style doesnt fit into ASA type archery, you cant just set there waiting on the release to finally fire. Setting there slowly squeezing waiting on the release to fire only works if your pin never leave the middle of the bullseye!
Look at Chance B. he is one of the best indoor shooters ever but outside on a 3d course he struggles if there is any wind, ive shot with Chance several times, he is amazing to watch hold but even he has went to a thumb button release....
Look at Kyle D. kyle shot a hinge & heavy set thumb release but until he went to a very light set thumb release he wasnt doing well because he said as he was holding in the middle waiting for "that surprise shot" the pin would sometimes dip just out of the ten ring. When he'd pull to get the pin back on the X it would fire! He told me when he switched tl a very loght trigger he shot like 20+ 30X rounds in a row an thought "hey there is something to this" and now 4 or 5 years latter he has won several ASA shooter of the years, many ASA tournaments, vegas back to back and indoor national 3 times in a row!!!!
And at the Rushmore Rumble this past weeked Bodi was not shooting the Stan click release he was using a discontinued Stan Shootoff Heavy Metal thumb release.
Yeah there's alot of talk about the release he was using at the rumble because he was shooting lights out... but maybe he has alot of travel in the release but if so.. why not use the clicker that they talk about so much. I personally don't like travel in my thumb but I'm also not anywhere close to the level of shooter as pros
@@TD3_Archery the new Stan design with the hook isn't as accurate
Switch to HOYT what's that tell ya. Please stop with mathews all the time and talk about hunting and all brands of bows. Go Darton
😂
Darton !
They’re making big waves
@@dougblaney-df1rd shoot the bow the gives you the most confidence.
Mass majority of the country is so brand loyal it’s ridiculous
For some reason u echo
He did not shoot it in the but because his 3rd axis was off ,he flenched or lost his consintration.
Here is my issue. All this stuff Joel talks about is nothing new. All he did was rebrand it and made it more marketable to get people to buy it. These concepts are so simple it should take 30 mins to discuss and sell but you can't make money off that so guys drag this crap out for all it's worth and then 20 years later dudes get taught this stuff and wonder why they aren't successful. Its not entirely on the student. Sometimes it's on the instruction. I have been in firearms training for years and this same exact thing thats going on here already happened. Turners will make their money and people will be disappointed in the long run. Sorry but it's the truth
But in fairness he admits to the fact that he learned this from others while learning it himself. And he is simply converting the thoughts to others in their particular practices.
You dropped this. Heres your crown, king hater
