I hope you all enjoyed this re-edited version about the Blue Wizards, that originally was posted on my other channel: Macbeth of Gondor Next video will be about The Fall of Arnor - a mini-series of 3 episodes
Regarding the five guardians (plus Melian): If that story is to be canonical with what is in the Silmarillion, then they would have had to keep their distance from the elves while guarding them. Otherwise, it's difficult to make sense of the fact that Elu Thingol never saw Melian before meeting her in the forest. But I do like the idea that this was what brought her to middle earth.
I think it's a little better at least. added a few more moving images here and there, removed a couple of lines I didn't like, removed the ending and added a bit of text here and there. Next video will be about the Fall of Arnor
Love this video good sir, I've just started making Tolkien videos also but this- this video was magnifique, you know a great deal more than I and have such a soothing voice. I'm in awe, and must admit to loving your musings, I now cannot wait for your next video!
The image of the blue wizards as wise Chinese mages or arabian merchants is so cool. It is so bizzare nobody has done anything with it. The Chinese martial arts mythos is filled with the Kung Fu masters who can do impossible acts of strength, walk on water or glide through the air as if they had no weight. It would fit perfectly to subtle wizard shenanigans. Gandals is the wizard of good adwise and able to magically motivate people. Make the Blue Wizzards martial art kings, lol. I would read that.
The art at 2:36? Yeah that’s by far the best depiction of the Blue Wizards and it makes sense as they would have taken forms that would allow them to blend in.
My interest ebbs and flows concerning Tolkiens phenomenal writings. This is over many years as I’m nearing 50 years old. I’m interested in it again but after the travesty known as Rings of Power… funny how that works sometimes. Anyways great channel and thanks for the quality production of these videos!
Yeah it both encourages people to read, but is also dreadful enough most needed a break after it ended 😂 I’m working on my own Second Age series btw, or - How the Rings of Power should have been 😁 Episode 1 and 2 are already out
Thank you! Sadly I tend to make a lot of mistakes when recording and have to say some lines a couple of times, before I get it right, haha. I don't think anyone would want to work with me XD
I always imagine that the blue wizards failed in their task and Saruman witnessed their failure or the results of the failure. That's what started him on the path of trying to obtain power to "make" everything right and ordered. Thus leading him down the path of his destruction.
@@Diamond-fr1ue yeah - I doubt there will be any storylines with missions where they are featured, but they would likely be heroes you can unlock and play as in 'freemode'. Alatar at Helm's Deep, Pallando at Minas Tirith etc.
Well their arrival would fit with their timeline. I also suspect they will add Glorfindel in the show, so maybe that could be a reason too. We know that Amazon have bought the rights to certain parts of the Unfinished tales, and in that book is a chapter about the istari and about the blue wizards. PJ couldn’t add them in LOTR because they didn’t have the rights. Tolkien estate was actually quite angry that Gandalf mentions the two blue wizards in the hobbit (also why he can’t remember their names) The show wants to build a strong connection to the hobbit and Lotr so not having a wizard would feel like something is missing. Many think the guy with the apple is either one of the blue wizards or Radagast
Apparently the people that watch my lore videos are not the same as the persons that watch the kingdoms of Arda videos. This meant that my lore videos were performing very bad on RUclips compared to how they should have performed. So hopefully this channel can grow into something bigger than my other channel over time.
Yeah the odd thing is that - even if they did succeed they didn't go back to Valinor. It's likely the same story as Radagast. Perhaps they didn't want to return.

Hey there council of Gondor. Love what you do, do you happen to have an email?
Would Amazon have the two blue Wizards together?
@@serenityprayers2091 hard to tell, they seem to change a lot of Tolkien's writing, so wouldn't surprise me if they only had 1
Why do you have two different channels? EDIT sorry i just read the comments. Love your channel #2!
I enjoyed that. Thank you.. And thanks to Dare for sharing your channel.

Watching this a second time. Still good.

Martial art kings in Tolkien universe would have made absolutely no sense .
Gandalf may have not met the Blue Wizards once he incarnated in Middle Earth, but surely he knew them in Aman.
Yeah without doubt

I saw the post that Dare to Game made. Thats how I found this channel. I subbed.
Glad to have you here!
Ayye, we've got another channel with a Ringverse logo! We need to start a club😉
Haha indeed!
Alright, im subscribed.
Glad to have you here!
You should really consider making audio books

Will the blue wizards be included in any form in KoA?
They will likely not be part of the campaign, but might feature in Story mode or Custom Battle. Magic won't really be a thing in the mod though :P
@@CounciloftheRings That sounds cool if they are in story mode :)

Alright. Subscribing to another channel. Doing this a lot recently.
Really? what other channels have you subscribed to recently?
I do think that the blue Wizards will be in The Lord of the Rings TV show but is there any evidence to suggest that?
Well their arrival would fit with their timeline. I also suspect they will add Glorfindel in the show, so maybe that could be a reason too.

I still haven't watched this one
Well it’s not running anywhere 😆
I always hold out hope that, despite what Tolkien may have felt, that they did succeed in their mission
