- We Converted a 12v Power Wheels to 24v and he is having a blast.
And then we had to convert the Jeep Power Wheels to 36v • We converted a 12v Pow...
*Disclaimer! I can't believe I have to add this but these days you have to.
Please play at your own risk! We are not responsible if you burn out the motors or someone if someone gets hurt. If you don't know what your doing Don't do it!.
Now watch you kid hustle the other kids on the block by doing powerwheel drag racing lol yeah its "stock"
Certified Killah 😂
Lmao
😂😂😂😂 golden
Hahaha just dont let em look under the hood...
Certified Killah 😂😂
I think dad enjoyed it more than the son
Yes I had a blast converting these for my son :)
@@FixDatTing Dads should always giggle more than our kids after we do something like that for them. That's how you know it was done right! LOL well done, sir.
@@FixDatTing how old is he now
Cool Dad! 10/10
Get sum rubber treads on that bad boy
That's what i was thinking. He roasted those plastic one. Hell even some traction tape would be better
I agree on the rubber. He damn well spun the wheels when it hits the gas.
Rubber will cause damage to the gears. Have to grease them often. We use flex seal
Hey thanks for commenting about adding rubber on the wheels. My son really enjoyed power sliding his cars on the plastic tires though
Just needs more grip on the front wheels. Leave the rears plastic. Turn it into a drift machine.
Now that’s a dad building a man👍
You beat me to it. That's exactly what I was going to say.
Jon Jones Now this is the exact opposite of all that "toxic masculinity" bullshit, but it is still bullshit
For real, like imagine how this kid is never gonna be one of those idiots that just slams the gas and are surprised their wheels just slip and spin when they try to gun it
I love it!!!! Awesome parenting!!! That kid is having a blast!!!! Hope yall have a blessed Christmas
Dime Stacker thank you and Merry Christmas to you. Its crazy to think this was 9 years ago
My dad taught me to drive on 3 phone books in his car when I was 13, cuz he couldn't afford a power wheels back in the 80s. I truly believed that teaching kids how to drive at that age is one of the best things you can do! Even if they do hit a bush or a mailbox or something like that they will be taught a lesson for the rest of their life! Good job!
Thank you for no adding music in the video the kid actually knows how to drive it and I love that it’s 2 Wheel drive and not one wheel drive
12+12=24 volts not 36 volts
starfire rider I think his numbers were (12x3=36) between mathematical equations and drinking beer. There is a time to call it quits on mathematics.
After seeing it with 24v and the kid leaning back for the first 100 feet give or take with a (oh shit!) in there. Now I want to see 36V on the next video.
Wrap the kid in bubble wrap for that one.
I was doing my own calculations and I came up with 369 volts.
Jim Berousek Hold my Beer. I’ll test drive it.
now that is some funny shit right there
Jim Berousek Hey, that's my birthday!
LOL I did the same thing for my two boys 19 years ago. I also glued some old inner tube over the hard plastic tire. your a good DAD
wayne ploof Thanks yes now my son is 14 and when we watch these videos we still crack up
wayne ploof Here is when we converted it to 36v ruclips.net/video/EcGmhT617zI/видео.html
Great video! Lots of fun. Your kid is fortunate!
Great! My brother and I had an old racing kart with a 12 horse Tecumseh on it... When our Old Man was through with it, it had TWO 12 horse Tecumseh's on it! WHAT FUN!
Slick Andrews now that sounds awesome
Honestly perfect amount of power IMO. Just enough to break the wheels loose but not uncontrollable. Nice job Dad!
Best dad award goes too this guy
Wow that's a big improvement. When the hard plastic tires wear out you could put some stuff expandable foam in them as a thought. Or another way wrap duct tape around the plastic tires in the same direction as the tires going.
Lmao, I love the part where you say we are gonna try 12v, then an 18v and then 24v. Went from 12v to the big power adder like adults 😂. Should try a 60v
Made that little man's day ! Sweet !
Ya but now he’s 14 and wants to really fix up a 4x4 truck Ha Ha
Father of the year. You're an inspiration. Im gonna do this for my boy's now
You see that burnout. 🤣
This kid is definitely gonna be a speeder... Same as me. Lol
This guys teaching his kid how shut down freeways and start sideshowz! Cool dad!😎👍
Those plastic tires to be gone in less than a week
I thought the same thing but we never destroyed any plastic wheels they are pretty thick
I thought the same thing... I had a thre wheeler once that had a hole in the front tire :p
They should Add rubber around them
@@annjohnsonperkins9262 if u add rubber for traction you will brake the plastic gear, bcz if the instant force to it.
This guy should be number one DAD of the year . Thamn i wish i could of done this for my son a couple of years back , now he’s 12 years old .
Your a great dad!...Be safe and keep pushing the limit!!!
Thats BADASS, that boy "GOT GAME"!!!
You should put some old used timing belts on the middle of the plastic wheels so they dont wear out and you can put a 18Vlithium battery in there it'll be faster then the 24V plus it'll last since it's a lithium battery. Theres also a screw on the gear shifter. Rotate that screw out and u can make any of these Power wheels twice as fast
how would I get the 18v lithium battery to hook to this 12v? I have one for my daughter I wanna do this to!!
This was wholesome! Father of the decade!
That's gotta be Florida! Miss it. Awesome bonding with your son how fun!:D
Lol your havin just as much fun as your son is!! Love it! Power to the dads!!
Brian check out the 36v conversion ruclips.net/video/EcGmhT617zI/видео.html
That is sweet. I took the back wheels off my son's power wheels and had the spray in bed liner dude give them a coat. The thing had amazing traction after that. Went almost anywhere after that.
love it looks like DAD is having more fun then the kid lol Thanks I enjoyed it. I was having fun as well.
Thank you the memories are well worth it. check out when we converted it to 36v ruclips.net/video/EcGmhT617zI/видео.html
My kid is 6 months cant Wait to do this.awesome video😂👍🏽
Great "how to" video, said no one in these comments, ever...
You splice the 4 wires into 2 And either use black tape or the shrink/heat wrap (thats what the op used) and then bam it just works
I think he assumed you have a little common sense when adding another battery. BASIC adult skills
I love videos like this. reminds me of when I got a 49cc crockroket for my 7th birthday after the motor blew on my converted 24v jeep 😩
You are anyones kids dream dad! At least for the weekend! lol You are awesome Sir!
He did those donuts like a true professional!!! 🤗
2:53 spin it!
2:54 bop it!
2:55 spin it!
2:56 twist it
2:57 sign up for formula drift competitions
A-X-L?
I did the same thing but added rubber belts that fit over the wheels. This gave it enough traction to do a wheelie
What you need now is rubber wheels....
+Anthony Vasquez Some actually come with rubber tread but it's only a ring around the center of the plastic tire. Full rubber is too heavy for the tiny stock motors
Pat Samson well whatever works best
Put the river dealer tape from as seen on TV
Anthony app
Rgtynmjottyuuyiiui
Rubber band the wheels
Atta boy pop!!!
Makin' life fun
That's what its all about man!!
You two kids have fun
You know he's gonna be getting his permit at 15 and license at 16... I believe power wheels and GTA is how I got the ease for driving
Too freakin cute and doing donuts too! These 12v cars definitely need more power!
Thanks daddy. Could only imagine how happy the kid is... 👍
𝙀𝙡𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙠 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙩.
Why does the dad sound like Woody Harrelson?? I think he enjoyed it more than the kid. Hope he has insurance!! 😂😂
Hey I liked it, it's a father teaching his son to be a man. The early stages. Plus its quality time.
Thanks Jay and here we did 36v ruclips.net/video/EcGmhT617zI/видео.html
When he put both batteries in and his son stepped on a pedal & rear tire started spinning I died laughing!!!
I bet your neighbors love you. No hate btw looks like a fun time lmao
Greatest Dad ever !
Thank you and now he’s 14 and we still laugh watching these videos. I wish I could find the one where I made a Hoover board with a leaf blower
Great job! That looks like a lot of fun
My role model to be a better father!
I can’t believe people actually dislike this video and had dumb things to say it’s a father spending time with his son and he has a helmet on everyone’s having a good time except for angry people who didn’t have a dad or someone to do this with them They have to make negative comments .Who cares how many volts it is everyone’s having fun by the way I love this video
I love it, you knew shit was going down when the kid was wearing a crash hat.
Best dad ever
If all that was changed was tbe voltage, expect a short motor life.
yup motor rating can only handle over rated rated volts for so long before the motor smokes.
The motor is probably rated for more than 12 V max.
@@alexstellini6034 There is no information to support your claim. For all we know it could even be rated for less than 12 volts and is being pushed beyond that maximum to save money.
Better off getting a bigger motor known to be rated for 12 volts and install a bigger ampere-hour capacity 12 volt battery. The speed controller capacity needs to be considered as well.
Ive even seen scientific lab equipment underdesigned, so dont expect consumer goods to surpass that threshold.
The kid will outgrow them wheels before the motor wears out. Let the both of them have their fun.
Bet the plastic on the wheels are gone before the motor goes.
1:20 best bit, and the look on the kids face? priceless
Daddy said come on back Lil man was going to skip town lol
Dad of the year
Dude this is cool! I wish I had one of those when I was a kid!
Love the skidding of the wheels, I don't care how old I am, I need to buy myself one.
That thing understeers so bad. Looks fun!!
Hahaha look at those baby burnouts lol that was awesome!
Thats the way kids should play as he drives off into the sunset lmao
Did this once too. I drilled some dywall screws into the wheels for more grip. Boy figured put that if he back out the screws a bit it gave him some bitting traction I'm the dirt
Wrap the wheels with a piece of bicycle inner tube. Just one wrap in the center. It will actually have some traction, the front end will react when he turns the wheel instead of pushing. Wrapping the wheels with duct tape works too
0:45 "How boring that would be for a kid" "I think we should add another 12" Awesome! Very good dad.
I just realized that power wheels are what kick started my mad man driving & riding desires into full abilities. The damn catalyst man.
This is awesome 👏
Thanks my son is 14 now and we still love watching these videos
That’s cool!!! He’ll remember that for a long time
Joe yes after seeing all the comments good and bad my son now 14 we just re watched it with his friend here and still laugh at the memories we created doing these crazy things
Late 70s early 80s I had a freaking pedal car man that thing looks cool 🚦
Ha ha i remember those peddle cars to to bad we couldn’t make them go faster except down a steep hill :)
Do you have a video showing how you connected the two batteries??? Thanks !!!!
Cool Jeep, Jeep Bro!
I did one with a works 32v! Wheels were a spinnin!!
I don't care what anyone says your a cool ass dad for doing that for ur son.
You can cut bicycle tires and wrap them around the front wheels and screw them in to the plastic. That way when he turns he won’t drift the front end straight. Turn up the fun a notch.
I was thinking of getting one of these for my 5 year old nephew, but I was also looking at electric mini atv's (pocket). One side of me wants to get him the mini atv (more badass), but the other side of me says this may be safer than those. Safety trumps being badass with me. Don't need any accidents.
How you did? You just parallel circuit the battery or you put some other components?
Nice! But dad should fix Jeep alignment 😂
i did that to my little brothers yellow jeep back in the day with the help of my father . But it kinda got me yelled at after school one day . Apparently my little brother was mud bogging in a deep rut he made circling the yard in this supped up power wheels with dual car batteries . He loved that thing , it was like freedom to him . Race around the yard like it was a dirt track no f's given . The garden , take out the fence . even the dog knew when josh hit the road it was time to move . well it rained the day prior so he was mudding it , Back and forth , back and forth . Stepmom said she happen to look out the window because she heard the hose turn on and wondering what my little brother was up to . kinda figured he was just adding some water to the rut . Well thats kinda true . But when she caught him the second time running by she noticed his firemen's hat was on. She knew somethings was up . When she finally got to the back door and looked out , only to see my little brother with his firemen hat on hose in hand trying to put his yellow jeep out ,
I done this for my kids back in 1998 glad someone els did too I feel normal now
Now that is fun little toy for a kid!
I wish my dad had done this. Thanks dad for spending my childhood at the casino.
What an awesome Dad!
That's awesome Haha! Try a Prius battery next
That is awesome. Btw the guy talking sounds like Woody Harrelson, assuming its not ;)
Awesome! Should put some rubber on the wheels for better grip.💯
Couldn't help but laugh when the tires started spinning..
MY KINDA DAD !!!
Great job Dad.
Hey there Brian,I see this is all the way from 2009.I would like to do the same, sure there was more to the 24v upgrade than just adding another 12v battery?
You added a 24v motor as well?
When I was a kid we found one of these in the trash I hooked up my dad's battery charger to it with a bunch of extension cords best week ever till I burn the motor lol
Any Father looks forward to projects like this regardless of the child’s mathematic level.
A good dad - after installing more power, he was given a helmet for his safety! 😎👍👍👍
That street looks VERY familiar. Do you live in Indianlantic FL???
You haven't lived until you've hooked a belt sander up to a Green Machine...
Dad of the year award!
Every mother in the world just hid their kid from this guy, haha.
Your son is awesome, btw!
cheers when he did the stop skid I was like ayyyeeee
I always thought those things were slow. Now that's what kids need
This was nice to watch, however two twelve volt batteries is equal to twenty four volts.
Also, doesn’t this put stress on the motors and shorten the life or can the motors handle it? Either way time will tell. Let us know if it’s still operational.
the only time we had an issue was when we put 24v into a yellow corvette power wheels with a speed controller then we burnt the speed controller up 😨. We actually converted this jeep to 36v and it ran for a long time. Now Im not responsible for any one else that does this. 36v video
It may be advantageous to teach your kid to look over his shoulder before pulling into a traveled roadway.....
Glad I’m not the only one.
GMperformanceOWNER
You noticed too. It jumped out at me. l taught drivers ed years ago, it’s funny what sticks with you.
Hi thanks we lived in a private neighborhood not very many people can get in cars can only enter come down our street from either side where I was standing blocking one side and watching the other side
Brian Cattano
Yeah, it was obvious he was safe and that you were watching him closely. My apologies if my comment came across otherwise.
Great project BTW. It appears your son got a big kick out of Dad’s upgrade. The doughnuts were hilarious!
Someone always has something negative to say no matter what type of video it is lol unreal
you are awesome. I can't wait to do this for my son.
