The klr 250 was a great bike. Reliable, capable off road and possibly the quickest of the 250cc dual sports of its time. I owned one back in the 90s and beat the hell ouf of it on every type of terrain imagineable and it just kept on going. I wish i still had it.
I picked up an 86 several months ago, you would swear I pulled it out of a time capsule it's got 2500 miles on it, I don't think it's ever seen dirt! Very happy with the purchase, good luck have fun ✌️
Just fine for both, there's guys that ride 50cc 2 stroke scooters off road here destroying everyone. It's on the rider, not the bike. This thing is light and capable.
I like you channel, just subbed. I have a 2007 KLX 250. It is funny how little difference there is between your KLR and my KLX. I haven't been riding long a little over 3 years. I haven't ridden since I was a teenager and I love riding the trails. Be safe out there.
A bike with a long run like the KLR/KLX means that they got it right the first time. There was no reason to change it. I've been riding a long time but new to the trail bikes. It's a hoot, isn't it? Can't wait for the ice to melt. Take care.
I'm enjoying ypur KLR 250 vids. I just got a 2005, about a month ago. I have a new Ricochet skid plate, still in the box, that came in the mail a couple days ago. I watched your skidplate vid. I may need to copy your sketchy ground clearance rig, too. So far its a great little bike. Thanks for the info.
Thanks, gloverintl. My KLR is actually in the shop right now. Valve job. Looking forward to getting it back. I may do a little vid to go over what happened. We'll see...

Had a DR350 almost impossible to start when warm, so yra a pain in the ass.
I had this bike in 1987. Too heavy for dirt to light for rode. I still loved mine anyways.

I like your choice of music! First time I’ve heard Bruce on someone’s RUclips video. 😎
That's because it's copyrighted and most youtubers don't risk having their account removed due to copyright violation.
Apart from this guy...

She looks good!
Why does it idle at 3200? Is the gas stuck or something?
nice bike man great!❤👍
Your voice is really cool
Have you had any problems with the kick start? I’m having trouble with mine. Only starts if I push it
Yes, the muffler was jammed up with something--I don't even remember what. After that it was OK.
Sounds like a generator from my dad's Winnebago.
Its idle is way to high
Xplod choke was prob on
nice bike dude, I wish I could find a 80s but can't, so I'm getting 95-04 bike to fix up
I have 93 klr 249cc for sale.needs work

what kind of boots are those, bro?
Very old Hein Gericke touring boots. I now wear Gore-Tex TCX ADV boots. Not as comfortable but more protection and waterproof.
They look super comfy
1500 $ for an 86 klr250 has 9k miles? Should I buy?
Look it over thoroughly before buying. See if you can get the price down a little.
There is a guy near me selling a 1999 klr250 for 1,300 usd it has new tires and a new chain what do u think
Did you buy it? I'm buying one soon hopefully for 150
Fix the idle first.
