Didn't know until now that what we do resolutely held onto at Doklam was surrendered to China at the Wuhan meeting. China then went back to building that road in Doklam. Hope this is a lesson for India. Meetings with Xi can hurt India bad.

China requested for disengagement at Ladhak few a week ago. Today we are beginning to hear from China that they demand that India move back out of the Kailash Ranges and it is obvious for me to tell you that China will demand India’s pull back with threats and consequences if India do not apply. My view is that India should remain where you are now and simply reject the proposal from China with the truth that India can not trust China any more. As a Tibetan, I care for India and want the best for India. Therefore my earnest request is to make no more Himalaya Blunders like the once happened in the past.

From13:28 to 13:30 Abhijit meant Bhutanese territory and not Sikkimese, slip of tongue.
Just correcting because it's about the facts, for that's what Abhijit is all about!
For strategically and geopolitically the implications of both the statements are significantly astoundingly different in scale. One is our territory and the other is that of our ally and de-facto quasi protectorate.
Please keep on doing the great work Abhijit, your analysis and research based on data and facts is superb. Kudos!

Abhijeet's quote about a 10 minute discussion between world leaders ruining 10 years of backdoor spadework is actually taken from "Yes Prime Minister".
But in our case, both the Prime Minister and the External Affairs Ministry babus are equally inept, and frankly calamitous, at international diplomacy. Together, they are very well capable of turning every tactical victory on ground achieved on the backs of the blood & sweat of our Armed Forces into strategic defeat, just to earn some non-existent brownie points from their enemies.
So India's enemies are very happy to bring India at the negotiating table, because they know they've won even before the talks start.

Abhijit has clearly explained in many of his earlier posts the digitalized and networked nature of American and NATO fighter planes and military equipments. Still if we ask a naive q to him that US has offered 100+ military planes to India as support, looks like the q was not thought through. Surprised Abhijit was not annoyed with such a casual q in this forum. Jai Maha Kali

What does Abhijit mean by "there is no paucity of planes"? IAF is short 12 squadrons of fighter aircraft , almost 200 fighters. Our last six MiG-21 squadrons will be decommissioned next year. I do support him on Diwali crackers though. One automobile ban day will give us enough carbon credit for 10 years of Diwali crackers.

As he rightly said production of micro-chips, gasoline, cars, and following western lifestyle pollutes environment all round the year, unfortunately the poor, domestic fire-cracker industry which doesn't have a lobby in the capital is victimized.

Dear Abhijit ! If the PM does not acknowledge the fact that it is China PLA sitting around the LAC and not the spirits of the mandarin overlords, We cannot maintain the farce any longer. The Indian bureaucracy had better say so too. We are still continuing the Nehruvian blunder. So let not the BJP play the cat and mouse with the public. I agree keep talking. But complete the infrastructure. Disengage with them from face to face but please study their tactics and psyche, Do not give up your advantage. Nothing will happen at present. In the above above video it was described China's building of infrastructure. One date was 1998. Vajpayee was PM from about there on. It is surprising that he did not give emphasis, though he must be credited with the courage to do atomic tests and make India nuclear-armed. Manmohan Singh regime's role on infrastructure and nuclear arms needs to be explored.
The Korean war made clear how strong PLA is. Nehru, if he had been less of an idealist and more of statesman, should have built the military and infrastructure. China, especially Chou En-Lai may have inferred that Nehru's creation of Pakistan and handling of Kashmir can be exploited, China did it!

As much I respect Abhijeet, when it comes to LAC positioning, he starts talking non-sense about accepting Google maps as the LAC as it was allegedly discussed with Google by Indian officials. Who knows what idiots from India, even compromised at the hands of China would have discussed it with Google. China has been constantly intruding into India, and Abhijeet says they are doing whatever they are on 'their' side. Why doesn't he talk about the Mcmahon line? Not an inch more compromise than that line which already is a compromise. China has entered thousands of KMs inside the Mcmahon line.
Next time when you discuss China, please bring Dr Swamy for discussion, not someone who is weakening the Indian stand.

Even the PPs from 1 to 4 they occupy is an intrusion, coz you cannot 'occupy' a patrolling point. And you should listen to Dr Swamy's interview he clearly mentions how Modi Govt has not acknowledged Chinese incursion.

I dont agree with AIM..it seems he changes his version with each talk talk show..sometime in july in another talk show with Jaipur Dialogues sanjay Dixit just after Galwan, he said Modi wanted to build trust at Wuhan but had subsequently learnt his lesson quite fast and that's why he ordered the fast pacing of border infrastructure ..Now he says Modi will squander all the diplomatic effort of the last 10 years..it is the reverse actually..The mandarins of MEA have a mental block with the Chinese thats why we always lost the advantage..I have no doubt we squandered the gains of Doklam at Wuhan because of this attitude of the MEA and Modi was "too new" in the words of AIM to take an independent stand at the time..As AIM says Modi is a fast learner and he won't make the same mistake twice
