This is the one build I am most excited to try. I love the idea of having a pirate crew that goes around pillaging ships and going down more of a “social” build that intimidates and manipulates people and makes a lot of money. I also love the idea of destroying those that try to fight back with a shotgun. Just a very evil and remorseless character.
Jesus, FudgeMuppet… After an intro like that, you got me thinking I’m seventeen minutes and forty-two seconds away from learning how to divide by zero, heh 😆
Easiest place to sell contraband without getting scanned before meeting the crimson fleet is going to The Den in the Wolf system, it’s very close to New Atlantis.
If you go to Porrima III there is a place called red mile go to the star port master there and get sheilded cargo if you want to be good in the game but also sell contraband to make a lot of money
Please will you do an Oblivion run with only hand to hand? No weapons, armor, or spells! Potions and exploits allowed! Difficulty can be anything you want! That would make my year! Thank you for all that you do! Hope you are well! Keep up the awesome work! Love your channel!
If you have a ship with a bunch of cargo space as your home, as your raiding ships you can sit in the pilot seat of stolen ship, undock then re dock and all of the items you may have missed.. although along with very low priced miscellaneous items although you can easily sell them

This is exactly what I was planning on doing. Not sure though since I would rather be actually flying more than it seems you do when traveling around so I'm still kind of back and forth. Will very likely do a playthrough in this style too though and then probably one as a bounty hunter
I'm wondering how viable it would be to be a privateer- piracy but not going after the "little guy", instead piracy versus the official transports of a big nation that can actually afford to absorb the loss. More morally grey and less "I ruined his finances and then killed him too"

@@pingus9934 the double agent aspect was really fun. Kept telling the UC commander that he KNOWS my background (wanted trait) so he should’ve known how I get down. It’s his fault I became a pirate captain
Great information, but a suggestion, please mention the controls/keys used for different actions as you explain them would be quite helpful. If anyone knows how I can rebind the "leave cockpit" control from the "E" key please reply. Its so irritating to be in a flight and get yanked out to endure two cutscene animations to sit back down.
I joined the fleet a completely different way it was awesome I stole a fleet ship woth contraband failed the scan and they brought me in and told me I can either join them to infiltrate the fleet or go to jail. I was not expecting that !
With the guy at 16:51 I panicked and killed the people on the ship and now I’m trying to get off his ship into mine and fly away but every time I do this I get blown to pieces in space can anyone help?
SPOILER READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! FYI it seems like a lot of people don’t know this yet but for roleplay purposes I feel it’s necessary to share the information I ended up discovering. You don’t even have to be a mole for SysDef if you don’t want to. When you initially meet them just act like you are going to work with them up until you are directly face to face with their commander on the second floor. After that if you select the attack option you can easily run towards the elevator go back to the first floor and then make a run for your ship. After that just grav jump away and then the mission will update telling you to seek out the crimson fleet on your own. Everything basically proceeds as it normally does with going to Mars and stuff from there only you will not have to deal with SysDef and can just be a pirate no strings attached. Also ensure that after you successfully escape from SysDef and grav jump away do not go directly to the key like I did. That was a mistake. You still have to go to Mars first and complete the initial missions to join up otherwise the fleet will still be hostile.
I can't decide if I like being the pirate or hunting pirates. Because I realized anytime I board criminal based ships I'm finding contraband always. Not once have I not had contraband but it does vary since the first time I got 1 contraband recently I just 3 contraband from a level 8 ship so either it's really good to pirate hunt or I'm extremely lucky
Currently working on a ship combat, shotgun, persuasion pirate character for my first run. Hoping to see a UC centric scientist/soldier build in the future! Excited to see how excited you guys are!
Wait, is this the full pirate build you guys made? I’m surprised there’s no lore background for this character despite you guys making them for Skyrim and Fallout 4 :o I wanted to know how this character became a pirate lore-wise. And gameplay-wise I wonder how that goes : just do the intro mission and when you can finally leave the tutorial planet, head straight for the Crimson Fleet via getting caught stealing?
Been enjoying my early access and I definitely am playing a smuggler/pirate focused character. Much sadness when I figured out that there’s no flushed out morally dubious characters.
I was pleasantly surprised when mission to infiltrate crimson fleet become available when I was caught with contraband. Kind of reminds black brotherhood from Oblivion
I hope in one the dlc we can make a fleet of ships and have big space battles, like becoming a pirate king or joining one of the factions and being a ship captain of a fleet
There’s a third way to join the fleet that spins off the second way that you mentioned. What you need to do is turn down the offer and serve your time or pay your bounty then make your way to Cydonia on Mars. How it unfolds from there, though, I don’t know.
^THIS...I'm not sure why no one's covering this method, I've scoured google and YT and even Reddit and nearly 99.9% of the time they just tell you to do it by vanguard mission.
For anybody wanting the helmet in the thumbnail, it’s called the Pirate Corsair Space Helmet. The Crimson Fleet Captain’s wear them, these Captain’s can be easiest found drinking in the Crimson Fleet’s bar you just have to be stealthy enough to kill one and loot it without alerting the others if you care about your rep with the Fleet lol.
@TyrizzyThe3rd forst vendor on your right when you walk in all he does is sell armor. The captains clothes easiest way to do it os go to akila do the pirate captain bounty put on em weapons destroy the engines save and then dock the pirate ship kill them and reload of you don't get what you want
If you go to Porrima III there is a place called red mile go to the star port master there and get sheilded cargo if you want to be good in the game but also sell contraband to make a lot of money
You can skip going the UC-V route and just go steal some random item where people can see you in New Atlantis, then just opt to go to jail. That will also trigger the UC/Crimson questline. However, if you want access to the vanguard ship mods, then continue the way advised in the video.
To join the crimson fleet you can also refuse the mission that sydef give you and just go to Cysonia in mars. A guy tell you that neava is seeing you and approve your doings, and start the crimson fleet quest (best choice giving the rp circonstances).
First build idea was going to be a play on a gangster who fled Neon to end up becoming a smuggler then just after a life filled with crime and being chased by bounty hunters and other criminals he decides to join Constellation and live a still adventurous but good life. Makes for an interesting build that has to deal with the consequences of their past while moving forward. Would use either the gangster trait and make hom a menace with boxing. Sort of blend that into the lore aspect. Then give him for traits Alien DNA Neon street rat Wanted Have been over the last few days been really thinking of a crime syndicate type of backround for this character with some major event in his past propelling him away from the violence. But as we know with these characters. It finds them. Love the content! You all have the best job in the world
I'm honestly happy that the role-playing part of starfield was well made. Of course it has bugs but come on, it's a Bethesda game. At this point is expected to have. I just hope that this time they try to fix it before the modders so they can focus on other mods.
Highly doubt that. What they'll do probably is, let the modders improve the game, buy it from the modder, then monetize on that. *Bethesda* cheaper than spending on R&D.
Yeah I haven't even ran into any game breaking bugs yet just funny things like people/items glitching into walls it's also only crashed on me once on x bone.
6:18 i just got this an i thought my game was broken. I searched everywhere to see if it was a bug or a feature but thank you for saving me from a 5hr reset
Fun fact I've found that if you go to the ship option in the menu you can actually register the ship in the menu. That said I'm not sure if you can only do that in certain places.
I have a han solo build and i love it. Most points in social grabbing all persuasion skills, skills on scavenging ect, making money on selling, with pistols and respective ship skills. Absolute blast
The Den on the Wolf star system is a great place too because they don't scan you and there is a Trade Authority there to sell contraband items while in early game.
i havent finished the video yet so idk if you said this but you can build bounty clearance boards and mission boards in your home or settlement. so you can roleplay more
I robbed a trading ship and got 2k from them after talking and then another 10k from the captains storage. That plus the weapons on the ship that i've sold was maybe around 15k from one ship. It gave me a 30k bounty tho 🤷🏻♂️
Being a pirate with the kid stuff trait is kinda funny imagine you do piracy as an alias to avoid your parents finding out Could be like explorer background or professor and treat it as paying off your parents house or student loans
Mods have made piracy sooo much more fun 🙏🏼 even using useful brigs to kidnap people and sell at the key into what I only assume is some Barbary style slave trade 😂
So I had done the crimson mission up to going to the key, now I’ve been using bounty hunter to attack and take pirate controlled ships, they did appear as friendly before but I’ve attacked them at outposts and in space, does anyone know if I show up at the key now will I be treated as hostile or just a gung-ho version of Han Solo with respect to boot for slaying fellow pirates
reg is 87% of the total price.I feel TGS is best for space combat due to grav jumping. also made a floating fort with all auto guns and just went afk in UC space. for about 10min or so but i think my main lvl is 120 so eh maybe big problem since most ships go to about 30 haha.
In my playthrough I'm a smuggler that hunts down bounties on spacers and the crimson fleet. So I look good while I high-ja.. I mean, confiscate the contraband after boarding, deliver it to the right officials and not to dubious trade organisations. Because if I would do that, that would be crazy, right? *smiles*

@@pingus9934 the double agent aspect was really fun. Kept telling the UC commander that he KNOWS my background (wanted trait) so he should’ve known how I get down. It’s his fault I became a pirate captain
Wow I didn't expect this video for weeks sweet. The Wolf den is also a good place to sell contraband.
What's great is if you decide to go to jail you'll still be contacted by Crimson Fleet
This game has been so much fun to play. GOTY nominee for sure 💯🔥
I wish there was a good romantic companion for crimson fleet players. What I've seen so far is that the ladies are all goodie two shoes.
Wait, is this the full pirate build you guys made?
I’m surprised there’s no lore background for this character despite you guys making them for Skyrim and Fallout 4 :o
I wanted to know how this character became a pirate lore-wise.
And gameplay-wise I wonder how that goes : just do the intro mission and when you can finally leave the tutorial planet, head straight for the Crimson Fleet via getting caught stealing?
brick :o
Been enjoying my early access and I definitely am playing a smuggler/pirate focused character. Much sadness when I figured out that there’s no flushed out morally dubious characters.
I was pleasantly surprised when mission to infiltrate crimson fleet become available when I was caught with contraband. Kind of reminds black brotherhood from Oblivion
Y’all should redo this one with a proper backstory and weapons section 😭😭
im so excited for this new era of fudgemuppet, you can tell how stoked they are to keep playing this game, its about DAMN time!
"You're looking for the best of the best, of the best, sir."
I hope in one the dlc we can make a fleet of ships and have big space battles, like becoming a pirate king or joining one of the factions and being a ship captain of a fleet
To clarify, does going with the background of Bounty Hunter increase the frequency of mission board missions being bounty missions?
Where else can you find the captains
Or you can just buy it at the key...
@@johnherrera5261 from who
@TyrizzyThe3rd forst vendor on your right when you walk in all he does is sell armor. The captains clothes easiest way to do it os go to akila do the pirate captain bounty put on em weapons destroy the engines save and then dock the pirate ship kill them and reload of you don't get what you want
GOTY, 100%
If you go to Porrima III there is a place called red mile go to the star port master there and get sheilded cargo if you want to be good in the game but also sell contraband to make a lot of money
You can skip going the UC-V route and just go steal some random item where people can see you in New Atlantis, then just opt to go to jail. That will also trigger the UC/Crimson questline. However, if you want access to the vanguard ship mods, then continue the way advised in the video.
What gun is that?
The cool crimson fleet one that says smile on the front.
@@gators2728 play through the crimson fleet questline and you’ll eventually get it. You cannot miss it so don’t worry
After you join the crimson fleet where can you get some crimson fleet armor?
You can buy it at their base
To join the crimson fleet you can also refuse the mission that sydef give you and just go to Cysonia in mars. A guy tell you that neava is seeing you and approve your doings, and start the crimson fleet quest (best choice giving the rp circonstances).
I f*ckin hate starship battles, just had to say that.
Then give him for traits
Alien DNA
Neon street rat
Wanted
Have been over the last few days been really thinking of a crime syndicate type of backround for this character with some major event in his past propelling him away from the violence.
@@arjay0490y’all are so annoying
@@bam_bino__mods ruin games for people I swear, you then have people like this guy who can't enjoy a game without mods... it must really suck
welcome to the internet, kid @@Originalchili
6:18 i just got this an i thought my game was broken. I searched everywhere to see if it was a bug or a feature but thank you for saving me from a 5hr reset
So ah what if my bounty is half a million… I’m having some troubles here.
Oh boy
Fun fact I've found that if you go to the ship option in the menu you can actually register the ship in the menu. That said I'm not sure if you can only do that in certain places.
I've regive registered ships that have landed on planets that I went up and captured
Oh yeah 😎
Being a pirate with the kid stuff trait is kinda funny imagine you do piracy as an alias to avoid your parents finding out
Could be like explorer background or professor and treat it as paying off your parents house or student loans
Mods have made piracy sooo much more fun 🙏🏼 even using useful brigs to kidnap people and sell at the key into what I only assume is some Barbary style slave trade 😂
Take what you can, give nothing back!
*smiles*
I just started up again the other day. 27hr of playtime later and I think "gentleman privateer" is going to be my Starfield stealth archer.
The bounty system is terrible for pirates imo.
It needs fixing ASAP because I wound up with a 300k bounty for like 2 ships.
