- In individuals with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, the pancreas doesn’t make enough enzymes to adequately break down food into absorbable components. This can lead to serious nutritional deficiencies, and the symptoms these deficiencies cause. However, with medications and dietary changes, it is possible to manage.

Does it ever really go away with a medicine
I appreciate this information, thank you.
Well I am type one diabetic and just had a fecal test after years of stomach issues and it came back less than 50 so I guess that means I have this hopefully the enzymes will work

a very good video!
What happen If you have this for a long time
Mine was 34 and she said it was supposed to be 250 or something! It's weird every since I had back surgery through my stomach my bowels have been right. I also have microscopic colitis! Yeah more health problems
I also have microscopic Colitis. Maybe one caused the other.
I developed mine straight after RNY weight loss or bariatric surgery and gastric band removal, all in one surgery. This was approx 12/13 years ago. Never been officially diagnosed despite many hospital readmissions but I still get bad episodes where I get severe upper tummy pain and non stop retching, fever, and it is abject misery! Two tests showed pancreatic insufficiency first in 2015 was >70 and another in 2018 which was higher but cannot remember. Scan also revealed I had a small pancreas. I believe the medical were covering up for each other as no gastroenterologist has picked this up except my GP, sadly now retired searched through nhs records to find these results she even inferred it was up to me as to what I wanted to do!! I am now left with no gp who knows my case as I always saw her. She kept me out of hospital trial and error by giving me oramorph and propranolol to keep everything relaxed and this is the way I cope to this day. I had my last pancreatic flareup 2 weeks ago and with medication I have it only lasted less than 24 hrs but I do not drink or obviously eat as I have the same feelings as delivering a baby where the body takes over in pushing down, except this is coming up from stomach or esophagus, relentless. I have suffered thunderclap headaches as a result of the pressure from trying to throw up which is dramatic but only five minutes long. I dont know if any others have the same after this procedure but I would love to hear from you. My surgeon who did the RNY said it had been complicated as the gastric band had become embedded into my stomach when he removed it. So as my condition only started when I went home from the surgery it makes sense it was the cause. I am not saying I did not drink as I loved white wine on an evening, and forlack of anyone telling me what was wrong I continued to enjoy this until I realised what this was. We know our own bodies despite consultants treating us like we are thick and resent any suggestion made. They know best of course! God bless you all as this is worse than childbirth when it flares up.
I love the animation so much
such a great video ! thankyou
Can you heal a pancreas?
Can this turn into cancer?
Increased risk yes. Not guaranteed
PEI does not occur on its own, but rather is a consequence of pancreatic damage. Causes of this damage include chronic pancreatitis, alcohol abuse, pancreatic cancer, type 1 diabetes, genetic disorders such as cystic fibrosis or Shwachman-Diamond syndrome, inflammation from digestive diseases such as Crohn’s disease or celiac disease, or as a complication from surgery on the pancreas or nearby parts of the digestive tract.
@@badgutcanadacan it cause without any reason as I did all test ultrasound mri ct and it's been two years I m suffering from symptoms and nothing found

There is little information on this topic, it is best to speak with your doctor about this before taking any new medications.
