I put Cornell up there with Axle Rose, Freddy Mercury and Robert Plant. The man had amazing vocals and true emotion in his words. Im so happy I got the privilege to see him and Soundgarden live. Im gonna miss you Chris.
Kim's Tone is an absolute Ripper , Chris sounds Amazing , Ben's Attitude kicks Ass & Matt is a Powerhouse behind the kit. In a Nutshell :- Soundgarden is one of the best bands to come out of the so called "Grunge" Era . I hope they carry on inspiring more musicians (including me) forever ! Peace & Love form India :)
I flew from Wa St once I heard they were reunited. Bought the tickets asap ( even one of the lucky 1000 to be chosen for secret show at the VIC). Lollapalooza didn't know what hit them. Poor kids were so mad that Soundgarden was way louder than Phoenix on other side of venue 😂
I was at this show 3 people from the front on the right of the divider in front of Ben Shepherd. I got to live a dream that night and see my favorite band. I will never forget it. RIP Cornell GOAT rock vocals!
I'm so glad this band is back. Hearing the old classics live again was perfect, and King animal is a brilliant album aswell. The Songwriting is still top notch, and Cornell's voice is still one of the best in the business. If you want to check out another band that has a truly original sound and an outstanding vocalist, check out Pregnant Whale Pain. Great riffs, interesting experimentation, and the singer's vocal range is mindblowing. They'd be a perfect opening band for Soundgarden, I hope one day that tour happens!
+Ross Hart Checked out Pregnant Whale Pain, holy shit they're good. Love all the genre shifting they're doing. Thanks for the recommendation man, what a find!
+Ross Hart Huge props for being into PWP man, great to see them starting to get the attention they deserve. Such a damn talented band. And yeah a tour like that would be awesome, one of the future greats opening for the grunge legends... lets hope Soundgarden find these guys.
Painted blue across my eyes And tie the linen on And I'm on my way Looking for the paradigm So I can pass it off Is it on my side Is it to the sky Looking to the sky and down Searching for a ground With my good eye closed If I took you for a ride Would you take it wrong Or would you make it right Looking for a pedestal That I can put you on And be on my way Is it to the sky Looking to the sky and down Searching for a ground With my good eye closed Stop you're trying to bruise my mind I can do it on my own Stop you're trying to kill my time It's been my death since I was born I don't remember half the time If I'm hiding or I'm lost But I'm on my way
The comment aged like fine wine is on the money. These guys are tighter than they ever were 15 years ago. Musicians to the extreme. Their new album is amazing. Got my Christmas gift early soundgarden us back!!!
Fun to watch this and compare with the live version from 1992. That one was great, but Shepard/Cameron are much tighter now and Kim Thayill's solos are more focused and direct. Gotta say, Soundgarden has aged like fine wine! Now play in Phoenix, please......
Yeahh ... i love Soundgaren they have a great Sound...!!! the good old Seattle-Sound... If you like some german grunge you should hear this: Drunken Hippies - Every day Peace.Love.Grunge
His voice hasn't gotten less powerful or worse, but his technique has changed. He is actually more vocally consistent now than he used to be and is using a better technique so he can sustain his voice. He's a more trained singer now, with a deeper texture in his voice. Sure, there are times where I wish he sang the same as back in the early 90s, but he would have no voice left if he continued to sing like that. Matt Cameron belongs in SG, and they rocked my world at their show this year.
All I know, is that I've been waiting for these motherfuckers to get back together for years. Audioslave was OK, but Chris Cornell belongs in Soundgarden, just like Rage was better as Rage. I had started to think I'd never have the chance to see Soundgarden live (as I was only 16, and living in the middle of nowhere when they released their last album, and broke up, never had the chance the first time around)
vocals seem a ittle off to the the mouth movements, might just be the video though, i dunno, i wouldn't expect soundgarden to lip synch songs. i dunno....
Being a Fusion player, Matt Cameron is not just the best Grunge Drummer, he is one of the best in History & way UNDER-RATED!!!!

It really KILLS me to read this comment now. Fuck, this is beyond sad...
Es una de las mejores bandas que he
escuchado, acoplados unos con otros
R I P chris you will never forget =(
Painted blue across my eyes
And tie the linen on
And I'm on my way
Looking for the paradigm
So I can pass it off
Is it on my side
Is it to the sky
Looking to the sky and down
Searching for a ground
With my good eye closed
If I took you for a ride
Would you take it wrong
Or would you make it right
Looking for a pedestal
That I can put you on
And be on my way
Is it to the sky
Looking to the sky and down
Searching for a ground
With my good eye closed
Stop you're trying to bruise my mind
I can do it on my own
Stop you're trying to kill my time
It's been my death since I was born
I don't remember half the time
If I'm hiding or I'm lost
But I'm on my way
My favorite song

This version is much better than the studio
@kimmetje1974 It's "Live on I5" with bonus dvd

These guys are great, I will try to put more covers of their songs by Crash Course CH on my channel! This is a threat! hahahaha
chris barely looks any older than he did in the 90's
The drummer looks like pearl jams drummer
correction....Pearl Jam's drummer looks like Soundgardens drummer.
+Deadly From Distance They even have the same name!!!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱 hahahaha
@doomsdaygray Dave Abbruzzese will always be the "real" PJ drummer for me.
What a sexy song...
MIn 0:41 ... Fu*** Great
i wonder who matt is talking to with toward the end of the song with about 1 minute 50 seconds left
MIn 0:41 ... Fu*** Great. Ben sheperd +10
chuck norris checks under the bed for kim thayil!
He hits the notes much more consistently tho. All he has to do is turn up his PA, it's all good
Y
Matt looks totally like Tony Hawk
vocals seem a ittle off to the the mouth movements, might just be the video though, i dunno, i wouldn't expect soundgarden to lip synch songs. i dunno....
