Tom Morello is the ultimate wordsmith. He could read the phone book and I’d be enthralled.
Tom is a national treasure. Howie recognizes this and did a good job pacing his questions and letting Tom talk. Great clip.

Same here. I remember hearing some of the warm up on the radio, and started crying realizing, for some reason this was probably my last chance of seeing soundgarden

One of the Best Shows I have witnessed, and I feel so fortunate to have witnessed it...because sadly almost a Year later he was Gone....I feel Blessed to have Experienced his Greatness
That's a real bummer man. I saw Soundgarden live and I saw Chris do an acoustic show live. Saying those shows were good is a massive understatement. Sorry you didn't get the chance man.

The former bandmates of Rage Against the Machine partnering with Chris Cornell was a match made in musical heaven! Audioslave was ground breaking stuff, so powerful and melodic at the same time.
I'm glad Morello keeps bringing up his melody writing. Melody writing is probably the toughest part of a song, as there are a million different melodies you can come up with. And Chris chose the best
I can listen to Tom for hours. Such a great storyteller.

Chris Cornell is the only singer of this century, that bared his soul so beautifully everytime he created any music and was a walking vision. He will always look like Jesus and will forever be in our hearts.

Tom is not only a revolutionary guitarist from one of my all time favorite bands, he is also a true genuine human and an AMAZING storyteller.
I got to meet Tom at a small club in Cleveland years ago. He was so nice and genuine. He also laughed his ass off when I failed at a stage dive and floor bombed.
Chris was the best he could make any band come to the front Chris is in top 3 greatest singer/ song writer in rock history people like Chris only comes around every 50 years or so a rock n roll treasure

Saw an early Soundgarden show at Illinois State U one night. Hate to say it but it left me with an awful foreboding feeling that took my joy away. They somehow blossomed. Audioslave and Pearl Jam members were the result. So glad it turned for the good.

RIP Chris, was lucky to see Soundgarden on Chris's birthday actually in lake tahoe years ago, what a show and what an angelic voice. I don't know what happens when you die, but if there is a Heaven, and I hope there is, Chris is definitely leading the choir of Angels.

Trust me I’m a hard-core fan of Rage and Soundgarden, but I just couldn’t get into Audioslave that much. This is coming from someone that is super open minded with music.
