@@fragzz I tried my best with making references in the boss speedrun ones. I think my most obvious one is “grizzco might cry”, being a parody of the game “devil may cry”, though a handful of others are slightly harder, such as my “your time to shine”, with shine being a reference to super Mario sunshine, which had manta storm as a boss, which big man is a big reference to. Not sure what I can use for Frye though, best I got is stomp since it Frye uses the box the octostomp is in As for my current references… Octavio “the show’s over”: not really a reference, unless you count the loose reference to joker’s (persona 5) all out attack screen. More so it’s kinda a nod to Octavio in general and there’s also cuttlefish saying Octavio put on a “weak show” Frye “stomp the box”: also not really a reference, but Frye uses the box of the octostomp during her fight, tried my best with this reference Shiver “we’re going to need a bigger fish”: reference to jaws and the phrase “we’re going to need a bigger boat.” the reason I chose fish is because we have smallfry which gets fed to master mega to stun him (or Her? What gender is master mega?) Big Man “your time to shine”: Super Mario Sunshine reference for the fight that references the mantra storm boss Mr Grizz “grizzco might cry”: devil may cry title reference. Grizz kinda can be considered a monster/demon to the splatoon world, and considering splatanas got added with both the wiper and stamper being able to be considered the main swords of the DmC series (Yamato and rebellion). And don’t tell me zipcaster can’t be considered a form of the trickster style
