Have you heard of DXM (Dextromethorphan)? It’s another OTC medication that when taken in high doses is also a hallucinogen however it’s a dissociative hallucinogen similar to Ketamine or PCP. It’s commonly taken in combination with DPH or vice versa
I was desperate to fall asleep one night, I was getting bad insomnia from coming off lexapro. I took a hot shower, smoked some weed and still couldn't fall asleep. I put on calming music and still nothing. Then I took 2 benadryls and felt a little tired but still nothing. This was before I knew about its deliriant effects. I took 4 more of them and that's when weird shit started happening. There was mild visual disturbances and I felt really off. When I closed my eyes, there was chaotic visions like vivid daydreams. I eventually fell asleep but it was weird and spooky and I never did that again.
@@Willy38134 250mg does fall within the hallucinogenic range. The guy who made all the deliriant replications (feetman100) mentioned getting hallucinogenic effects at only 100mg. Everyone's body is different and by the time I actually finished all 250mg it had already been a few hours since I smoked so my high had basically worn off by then. Morbid curiosity did lead me to take 300mg recently and the same thing happened, no weed and no insomnia this time. When I say mild, I mean pretty mild. Like a flash in the corner of my eye like there's a bug on the wall or a faint sound that I can barely notice. The vivid daydream type things happen even when I take really low doses of benadryl for allergies or sleep. I made a mistake in my original post. It was 250mg, I forgot to mention the last bit I took right before I got into bed. A total of 10 benadryls over the course of 2 hours. I was tired when I typed this lol.
I've actually been their n ended up in grippy socks, now half a of bottle had me dying faster than i was seeing things, n truth is u do see things but mine were never so intense while i was awake, key word awake when i was asleep the world bends n reality shifts into a crazy hell honestly. n its also true to say its very addictive bc i physically wanna throw up thinkin abt them but in the way back of my i feel i may need it for my sleep disorder. point is don't take them n if u do make sure its the dose ur doctor gave u

I've used dph before and i didn't have any problem, the problem is new users of the drug using an massive dose, i used to do an very low dose and the effects were enjoyable, I don't do it anymore though.
Yea ofc, I'm not saying normal doses will do this, didn't go too much into dosage because I thought it could be used as a guide which wasn't my goal. But yes it's like painkillers, you can OD on them, but that doesn't mean using painkillers for pain will kill you

The reason I find benadryl more intruiging tho is because it's a household drug that you had no idea had these properties, were as datura is specifically known for being the wildest. It would be like finding out painkillers could make you trip like dmt
