Vostok 1and Yuri Gagarin make history for being first man to orbit the Earth. (common conspiracy theories actually believe that he was just the first cosmonaut to actually survive and that many other cosmonauts made it into space, but didn't survive either the conditions of space or re-entry of the atmosphere) John F. Kennedy announces the Apollo program and his dedication to put a man on the moon. -Police sketch for the woman in profile notes 5 sighting dates. One in 1961, two in 1962, and one for 1963 and 1957 1962 events of note: US spacecraft Ranger 3 is launched to study moon, but misses. An incredibly rare astral event occurs where many of the visible planets line up with sun and moon creating a rare solar eclipse. The Mariner 2 passes Venus being the first spacecraft to transmit data from another planet. The actual date of the sighting 6/11/62 has the Pope convene an ecumenical council that hadn't been done for 92 years. 1963: A total Penumbral lunar eclipse. NASA launches first geosynchronous satellite, Syncom 2. JFK assassination. 1967: outer space treaty signed between USSR and US to prohibit weapons of mass destruction from being used in space. NASA launches lunar orbiter 3. Surveyor 3 probe lands on the moon. NASA announces APOLLO 7 mission(first with crew). Mariner 5 launched towards venus. The Patterson-Gimlin film of Bigfoot (have to include this obviously). Launch of first successful Saturn V rocket. -Witness to Hannah Burch murder. This apparently is a character from CandleCove -kids drawing that says "the lady can see me, even though I'm not up there". Probably just referencing that it has what appears to be two faces. -Mentions that she looks to the sky at Twilight....can't think of what this could mean, but my intuition is that it could mean something. -The creature has what appears to be two faces looking in opposite directions. One up, one down. -"A predator cannot differentiate prey from accomplice" mentioned for the first time outside the ARG. I'm going to wait until another release or two before making any new speculations on the series (apparently it's back now), but I do want to point out that my hunch on the mining disaster has some weight to it now. Other than that my brain is currently soup.
@@NormansIndexOk with the two faces I can think of a few things 1. Janus, Roman god of many things but importantly doorways, transitions, and the beginning and end of conflict. 2. Greek Hecate, a goddess associated with the moon, doorways, withcraft, and creatures of the night. While she has three faces and the female figure has two… the true face in the middle could be seen as a third face…
@@NormansIndex I don't believe the creature has two faces, I took it as the "faces" are just the sides of its head and it was always staring directly at us. Certainly more unsettling that way.
“GPS, WTF?! WHERE TF WERE YOU TAKING ME?!” That haunted Goofy AHH GPS: “Lmao, you fumbled by actually listening to me :p” The “destination” behind me: 🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃
How does it feel to finish a video essay on a topic that has been dormant for two years, only to publish it _Right Before_ it comes back with a double feature?
Oh cool the hidden vid is public and they confirmed something quite horrifying. Thx for telling I had no idea but damn the actual new vid had some scary shit!
My favorite aspect of the Black Paintings of Goya is that he never named any of them, the whole connection to Saturn Devouring His Son is educated guesswork at best. It very well could have been raw madness, devoid of context or meaning.
I really wish I would have communicated that better than I did in hindsight. It's an absolutely inspiring topic that sent me on a whole separate rabbit hole when I was doing my research. When I was making my own speculations in regards to it's inclusion in local 58, it was based on general interpretation and name given to the work, rather than a personal interpretation or alternative modern interpretations. I feel that the general interpretation and name better coincides with my speculation on it's inclusion with "Ivan the terrible and his son Ivan". Of course that is all speculation, but that's what makes this fun. As far as my initial reaction to the painting before discovering it's name and history, my thoughts slid towards Nephilim. Anyways, I really appreciate this sort of comment, thank you.
i would hesitate to attribute it to “raw madness”. it probably had some meaning to goya, it’s a very intentional piece, but even so i’d guess that he wouldn’t have been able to convey what that was even if anyone ever saw the piece
There's a detail he didn't mention about the moon in Show For Children that I always thought was something important disguised as an animation error. Before Cadavre reaches the first grave, a tree comes into frame and passes OVER the moon as one would expect since the moon is way far away and the tree is in the foreground. But after Cadavre looks in the second grave and sees the beaked thing, another tree comes into frame and passes UNDER the now freaky-faced moon. I don't know if that was ever confirmed to just be an error or if the theories around it were ever proven wrong, but at the time people thought it implied that the sinister moon that keeps appearing (such as the much closer one in Skywatching) is a separate body entirely and possibly replaced the moon or is covering it. A much smaller heavenly body in the sky at a much closer distance (and with substantially less mass) could potentially obscure the moon from view and would explain the lack of natural catastrophe that would result from the real moon being vastly closer. It could also be the moon itself but replaced or corrupted by something else, and the animation bloop in Show For Children merely represents this change in its state.

Due to the nature of the games, the lore is very much meant to discussed and interpreted according to each player's own experience, but far too many people now just wait for vaatividya to put a video out and take it as gospel. It's also gone to Vaati's head. The guy is insufferably smug.
I think "You are on the fastest available route" will forever remain my favorite despite not quite fitting in with the rest because without the supernatural elements it just feels so real. I think anyone who's driven long stretches through remote parts of the country has had their GPS recommend some strange roads before and the drive can be a little unsettling late at night, with that thought in the back of your mind along the lines of "what if I broke down out here?". The idea of something sinister luring you down those desolate roads using the GPS just adds an extra layer on what can already be an unnerving experience.
I remember watching local 58 when I was younger and being so afraid to look outside at the moon afterwards that it continues to stick to me today, it's such a good analog horror I love it‼️‼️
A quick thing on memento mori, it's less interpreted as a pessimistic worldview and more of a reminder to find meaning while you can. The second phrase that often follows "remember you must die" is "remember to live." Lots of the living live in a way closer to the dead, and vice versa.
I legit freaked out when Local58 posted a new video on Halloween, after a year of silence We have regularly scheduled car-bearing ferries in Seattle, WA. Many folks commute on them daily. It's not that odd Blair Witch Project is specifically found footage; the equipment used was contemporary for the era it was created in, so I don't know if it necessarily fits into analog horror, which is specifically looking back in time at old footage obtained via obsolete media
@29:00 Narcoleptic here. I too often hallucinate during the day because im randomly entering rem sleep w/o being conscious of it (i might feel like ive blinked my eyes and see something, however it could be 5-10 minutes later and i slept w/o knowing) and then Ill hear/see things for a while. Its mostly under control but man is it weird. another thing, bc earlier you mentioned the goofy warped faces- i always thought they were lame til maybe a month ago when i learned that...some of my hallucinations may not actually be that- I very well may have demon face syndrome. If you look it up there was a study that created images based on someone w the disorder and ffs i cant look at them- theyre too dead on. Anyway maybe thats what people started to try to tap into, and somewhere along the way it was imitated w/o really understanding the why okay time to continue watching ^^ great work, guy!
I'm very proud of the creator for evolving. I admit I thought it was dumb at first when it was mainly just psa videos about the monsters, but it's cool to see them evolve with cgi, props, special effects, and now voice acting! It's fun to see creators evolve and get better
You have the look of someone who uses that telescope to look up every night, see one more incomprehensible threat arriving from space, go “Ugh not this again,” grab your shotgun, and head out to put it down, night after night. Seriously great video, bud. Keep up the great work. This channel will be huge one day soon! 👍
This is so well done! I'd like to raise a possibility - what if the moon entity is contained within, or made of, moonlight? There's references to the moon 'coming in' through windows, and I think once the entity refers to itself as coming in. Light is also on the same electromagnetic spectrum as radio waves. The scary things that Cadaver sees are all bathed in moonlight. Etc, etc.
24:40, I’m not a superstitious person, so I went in all smug thinking “huh some silly internet thing isn’t gonna scare me”, I just woke up an few minutes ago, and I’m genuinely horrified at what my brain concocted
Every once in a while I come across gold on RUclips. Just absolute amazing channels that make the niche content I look for. Watching these channels grow is a joy in it of itself. Great stuff you made man and here's to many more.
18:50 the 476 megahertz is also the frequency of an unknown transmission that we received from somewhere in outer space. Just some tones but still interesting.
The only reference to 476MHz I can find is the upper edge of channel 14 on old-school American UHF TV (and some offshore oil rig communications out in the Gulf of Mexico). And by old-school, I mean back when we pointed particle accelerators at our faces, and tuning to a channel that didn't exist showed you the terrible secret of space instead of a blue screen. (CRTs, and the terrible secret of space is just gray and white static, but a couple percent of that static is the faint leftover screams of the beginning of the universe.)
The Golden Throne isn't an amplifier as such, it's a focusing lens. The thousand sacrifices a day isn't a fixed number, it just sounds cool as an average. The idea for the Golden Throne was to have a giant psychic gun aimed into the Webway. The Emperor and Malcador were going to, essentially, blast the Webway with psychic energy to get rid of the Eldar, then use it for the Imperium. That gets rid of Warp travel, which weakens Chaos.
@@NemFX- presumably just the literal seat part though, seeing as the false emperor wasn't a psychic juggernaut like Malcador, who the actual Golden Throne nevertheless fried to crispy ashes in abt 5 minutes flat! The actual Golden Throne is, I believe, the single largest machine in the galaxy, and many of its parts are confirmed to be of unknown Xenos origin, and according to the Dark Eldar, humanity has totally misunderstood their intended original purpose. But then I guess they would say that, wouldn't they...
@@jimdoom2276To be fair, humanity doesn’t understand much of anything about most of the tech it uses. They just cobble together shamanic operating procedures from distorted fragments of the original protocol, which is comedically inefficient.
i remember going deep on the Book of Job, Orion, Pleiades on the actual original local 58 vid and ppl were like 'nahhh, that's a reach' glad to see someone else actually going after that thread
@@WobblesandBean The very first frame of Local 58 says 'Focus on... Faith' and the Book of Job is expressly about Faith and mentions Orion and Pleiades in the SAME SENTENCE while Skywatching has it in back to back scenes. It's actually not that big a reach, you just lack imagination.
I also thought it was a bit of a reach because those are just two very easy to spot constellations in the northern hemisphere's night sky, but I couldn't help but notice that the year 1938 is when that cave sleep experiment took place and is the year Local 58 started broadcasting. As he said in the video, the line from Job is 38:31. When a number shows up that many times, I sort of start to believe it's not just a big reach. Of all the current videos on the Local 58 channel, 6 of them were posted on the 31st (all of these are October 31, Halloween), and 3 of them are just 1 day off from the 31st (one of them is from June however, which only has 30 days). This could just be because the videos are spooky so it's in the Halloween spirit to post them around that date, but the repetition of both 38 and 31 could lend some credence to the connection with the Book of Job.
I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention a few connections to Kris Straub's other works in Local58: Cadavre comes from _Broodhollow_ , a webcomic Straub also does. He shows up in characters' dreams in that comic Some of the towns the channel services include Broodhollow, Ichor Falls (another Straub horror location and the name of another horror project), Edenvale, and Lasker City, both are locations mentioned in _Broodhollow_ And of course, Local58 first appeared in Straub's works as the channel that aired the infamous _Candle Cove_
I have to say yours is the best analysis of Local58 I have watched and now I get it how well incorporated H. P. Lovecraft is in this lore. You're also the first one to explain the number 58 in the name. Subscribed! 💗
Hey, i remember hearing the whole "this message will repeat until there are none left to hear it" in this one scp or horror related reading that was exploring some alternate dimension or planet where reality was fragmenting and the remnants of the former civilization was very similar. When the signal was translated it spoke about "Something terrible had happened, suggested to embrace loved ones in final momemts, and message would repeat until none left to hear it" Edit: found it, it's SCP-3426. A phenomenon that causes the total eradication of a planetary civilization once it reaches a certain level of technological and social advancement. Judging by the date the scp entry was made I would say, it's probably a neat little nod to this analog horror series
the flash face distortion effect, which is what that one with the faces was based on, is pretty weird and i think it was just stumbled upon. turns out if you rapidly cycle through different faces, 1 on each side of the screen, and you just focus on the middle between them, they just look wrong somehow. then you go back and they're completely normal faces. it's like a mind glitch or something. there are multiple videos of it on youtube
@@WhitneyDahlin the Local 58 video is just spooky video. it's the other "flashed face distortion effect" videos on RUclips that are meant to show this effect. it's nothing drastic, but for me it looks like their eyes are weird or other facial features are somehow wrong, but then if you rewind and look at those same faces again directly, they're completely normal people. maybe it doesn't work with some people? i don't know
the most accepted reason for the flash face distortion effect is that it flashes just fast enough that you brain has not fully processed it (things in your focus are prioritized more), so the faces get layered and this layering appears as distortion
@@skoovee I honestly have no respect for people who attempt to shoot down positive comments with their negativity - In fact, such behaviour disgusts me. And I'm getting too dang old and tired to entertain that kind of BS. Therefore, my straightforward, "extreme" reaction.
@@KorilD you are being more negative than that guy who just said they disagree with your view, not agreeing with you is not trying to "shoot down" your comment. you should learn how to handle differing viewpoints, its a very important skill

I was a history major with an art history minor. Francisco Goya was my favorite to write about. Fun(?) fact, he was a witness to Napoleon's invasion of Spain and the atrocities that this brought upon people. The theory was that this caused severe PTSD and led to the mindset that he found himself painting the Black Paintings at the end of his life. You can read about his painting "The 2nd and 3rd of May, 1808" to learn more about his experiences with the invasion. His Etchings are also very interesting to look at, another look into the dark mind that may have been caused from seeing the bloodshed of the invasion.
Amazing analysis here, love the inclusion of real world inspirations and potential connections with figures who pioneered their fields - love local58/analog horror and the content created on it and this one sticks out as particularly insightful!!
You know, i've always imagine the moon is behaving a bit like SCP-001 when day breaks. People are not as much kneeling as they are melting, it even has the compulsion to make people go outside. I guess the moon is a mix between SCP-001 and the markers from dead space, not a pretty way to go.
This video made me realize WHY I love local58 so much, and why other "analog horror" series just don't ever do it for me, and I think it might kick into a little bit of bias, or well childhood fears I have, which is why it's so unique and special and terrifying for me, and why I love rewatching it again and again. I used to love TV as a kid but I was terrified of certain transmissions and programmes, and stuff like creepypastas didn't help lol. Once, I was at my grandma's and I was so mortified of moving I was just stuck, the whole night, watching those teleshopping ads for the whole night because I was too aftaid to changw channels, my arms even went numb lol, man what a stupid kid I was. I guess it really kicks into that primal fear of mine, an instinct of sorts, anyway, Local58 is special in the sense that, it's not just an aesthetic, it's the whole channel, it doesn't go too far, it feels real and grounded, it feels homey, cozy, preys on your comfort and nostalgia, it's so creative too, it's so fresh and original, it doesn't just use cheap jumpscares, it terrifies in a unique way, atmospherically almost, the whole vibe is unmatched, and I think nobody can replicate it, at least until someone understands the fundamentals of why local58 worked the way it did. It didn't bombard you with information. It didn't go too far and started to feel cheesy. It was perfect, and I love it. I just love this series so much, and I could talk about it for hours, and I honestly hope people see this comment and realize the actual impact this series had and what made it special, and maybe understand how this series is so special, and we maybe will get another channel type of analog horror, like some channel9 news or something lol, I'd love that, if anyone knows anything of the sort like local58 I'd love it. And yes, there are other analog horror series I love like the early mandela catalogue and the fnaf vhs stuff and especially the monument mythos, EAS alarm mockups and all that, it all has a sense of realism, yet from the comfort of reality where you feel relatively safe. Stuff like gemini doesn't do crap for me, it's too convoluted and it doesn't have that vibe. I don't like stuff that tries way too hard. Local58 feels so natural, so homey yet so alien at the same time, why don't people get that lol. Don't be afraid to get creative with your aesthetics, but create something recognizable you know? Regardless I love it, and I hope to see so much more from it, and the analog horror genre grow better. Thank you to anyone who read this comment. God bless your holidays and happy new year!
This video was great, I'm so excited to see what other content you make! I put this on mostly as background noise to work on a project, but I had to rewind the whole thing because I was so interested. You have a great way of speaking, keep making videos please!!
proud to say I'm your 100th subscriber! I love your content dude, your perspective is refreshing, and the way you narrate is comprehensive! I can't wait for more videos!
Note that "The Era of Home Recording" Easter egg actually begins at the end of the preceding paragraph [directly following "Never lose a single moment again."]: Time, at once both warden and thief, laid low by gossamer loops of air and iron. Here is a greater, finer memory than that of men.
18:31 it's the TV station's tuning frequency. You use a radio signal at a set frequency in the range of VHF/UHF (very high frequency/ultra high frequency) in order to transmit your broadcast, and the receiving end tunes to it to watch your broadcast. That's what a TV channel is in technical terms.
This is my favorite Local58 analysis video I've seen thus far!! I appreciate how thorough it is, and the theorizing that wasn't just "alien in the moon". I love the emphasis on Greek mythology! Great video, can't wait to see more from you
I remember seeing their second video on 4chan when I was a kid and thinking it was a real leaked public announcement the USA had prepared just in case.
great video, had me enthralled the entire way through, which is pretty good considering I usually have videos like this on in the background while I work on other things, excited to see what other things you make!
Love how far wendiigoon has come in such short time. Yet the one who got me into analog and still makes it intercessor me is always Nick Nocturne/nightmind. But I just started following you and you're doing it justice.
This was the first video when i opened youtube and i am so glad i watched it. The way you speak and the way you explain things is easy to follow and your voice is perfect for video essays like this. I had heard about this analog horror series before but never got into it but this video has made me want to research further. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers dude your videos are awesome keep up the good work🙏
Aghhh this channel is so underated!! I loved hearing your perspective and the idea of Zeus being the moon is so cool and creative! Great Video overall, and i cant wait for your channel to blow up.
I love the sort of campfire storytelling vibe you're giving off! I'm too much of a weenie to watch the stuff myself but I love seeing analyses like this :D Good shit!
The Orson Well's Radio Show War of the Worlds and why sooo many people believed it was real is a very fascinating deep dive to get into. I really enjoyed learning about that point in our history.
i thought this would just be another local 58 breakdown video but you pointed out details i’ve never seen pointed out in the countless other local 58 vids i’ve seen. i really appreciate how detailed you get with this. i fucking love local 58, thank you!!!
This is impressive analysis and much more in depth than I've ever seen. I did a watch/reaction on stream for the CLOSE video as it was airing.I have a lot of analog horror unfiction stuff on my page. Glad I stumbled on this channel as I'm a small creator as well. If you ever want to collab or need any astronomy / physics related info hit me up. If not, thats cool too, no pressure. Anyway my degree is in astrophysics, might as well make use of it as much as I can.
As someone who isn't an astrophysicist, but loves space, I will absolutely take you up on that offer. I know there are some topics I will eventually cover where I will definitely need some insight. As an astrophysicist yourself, how off the mark am I when it comes to my conclusion on Eidolons trajectory? It's towards the end of the video, so no worries if you didn't make it that far.
I remember the first time I ever watched Local 58. I was about 9 or 10, and I was weirdly intrigued by EAS scenarios and all that stuff, and wouldn’t you know, Weather Service popped up in my RUclips feed. Thinking it was real footage of a TV station airing a weather alert, I clicked on it, and watched it. There I sat, absolutely terrified, yet also morbidly curious. That morbid curiosity led me to watch the rest of the channel, and oh boy, wasn’t that a bad idea (at the moment it was.) I sat up in bed, terrified of even looking outside, theorizing about what the moon actually was, and for some goddamn reason, a combination of the noise from Station ID, the music from Contingency, and the image of the skeleton from Show For Children made me THROW UP in my bed. Today, Local 58 is my favorite horror series ever, and it inspired me to create my own analog horror series.
I love horror, and it almost never bothers me. "Real Sleep" is maybe the scariest thing I've ever seen. I first watched it in a group (thank god) and for this video i looked away for the entire clip that was included. And the audio was still scary. Absolutely phenomenal horror.
Thanks for the distorted faces warning. I have been, amongst things, diagnosed with hypnagogic sleep hallucinations and after I saw the experiment the first time I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD MONTH. So now I just had the chance to chill in the comments section until it was over.
Local 58 was my first exposure to analog horror and I think it's still the best example of it. It's always unnerved me more than anything else and it's taken forever to work out why but I think I've worked it out. I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s and during this time camcorders became increasingly easy to buy, and consequently there was this explosion of "UFO Footage" TV shows that I was addicted to and terrified of as a kid, and the camcorder footage in Local 58 nails some of the shakiness and distortion. The other big thing growing up in the UK at least was nuclear death paranoia; most people my age in the UK have seen or heard of the film "Threads" which traumatised an entire generation about nuclear war, plus I remember after the Chernobyl disaster seeing news articles on what alerts might have sounded like if the disaster had posed any risk to the UK. So this combination of apocalyptic events and homely local TV stations sounding warning sirens and preparing you for imminent doom is just hardwired to my fear response as an adult.
You hooked me with just seven minutes in the intro. Well done on the efficiency of the sequence and now I am looking forward to more long-form content from you!
the best explanation ive found for dreaming is that it could be an evolutionary trait that allowed us to be more prepared in our daily lives. Imagine you’re a caveman and you have a dream about fighting a bear every night. One day, a bear attacks you and another caveman. You, who have been subconsciously preparing for this moment in your dreams, perform more optimal actions that result in your survival, while the other caveman who hasnt been having dreams is unprepared and dies. Now you pass on that biology that caused you to dream, making dreams a competitively viable strat in the evolutionary arms race
Huh, I had no idea Kris Straub was behind this. I read the guy's webcomics for years and was always sad that Broodhollow never finished. Nice to see the guy's kept busy.
Hey man, don't limit your idea of "art" to just visual mediums, or even worse just painting. You've been enjoying Local 58 so thoroughly that you made an hour long video about it - you ARE an Art Guy, you just like different kinds of art. Just some encouragement to think of Art more broadly and compassionately, as lots of forms of art get reduced to "not art" for a lot of bad reasons, not just misconception or nomenclative issues!
OMG you are the first person I’ve ever seen online who mentioned Land between the lakes!!! That brought back so many memories for me, both good and bad
I used to live 15 minutes from LBL. Have taken that ferry quite a few times. Also, me and my family now live on a dirt road that is 2.5 miles long, just to our place, surrounded by forests. Loving the video.
This was such an amazing analysis! The depth and detail you got into was incredible. I really enjoyed this video, and subscribed! Can’t wait to see what you make next!🎉
i really enjoyed this, and the rest of your channel. you definitely don't *need* a huge following or fancy setup like nexpo to please your audience. it was very refreshing to see the same intelligent input and enthusiasm in a more casual environment. it makes the video feel more personal and easier to keep up with. i'd love to see more creepy videos from you!!
Something worth mentioning is that Cadaver from Show for Children is actually a character from another of Kris Straub's projects called Broodhollow. A webcomic series.
the most horrifying thing about the video at 13:00 is that there’s a real possibility that someone (in universe obviously) had just “taken care” of their kids and/or pets and then see the “this is a hoax” message appear on the tv…
By far the most researched video on Local 58 yet, love the work! I personally think the phrase "Parasite is to host, as inhabitant is to Environnement" is less of a motto and more of a mantra for the cultist to further remind themselves about their own brainwashing/madness. As to tell themselves "this is right" whenever a rational side surfaces and have them questioning if they should continue. Remember, the whole time the cultists have been trying to subvert the counter-cultists at every turn and shatter the mind of potential civilians by messing up their recognition of faces and REM sleep. They are twisted individuals that know how to play mind games.
I'm far too much of a wuss to watch any of these brilliant series, so ytbers such as yourself or wendigoon or crowmudgeon just come in clutch every time I want to experience the goodness without scaring myself half to death while doing so. Thank you for the great analysis and storytelling!!!

I did not know that information about the black paintings!! That art of Saturn has always been distressing to me. The amount of detail in the Ivan one as well is striking.
Good job with this video buddy. I'm excited to know that Local 58 is still being produced. I think I tuned out 3 years ago and figured it was never getting finished.
Aw its endearing that you were a mattress salesman who wasnt slimey, and then you also clarified theres a difference between general depression and clinical depression too, and you were careful to say to see a medical professional. Its lovely that you focus on not harming other people or not accidentally harming them either. I love that, on top of just liking watching ARG horror being detailed
The winter of 83 is another amazing analogue horror that doesn't dissolve into scary stretched faces and disturbing content for the sake of being disturbing. They're hard to find but when you find one they're so damn interesting.

Anyways, I really appreciate this sort of comment, thank you.
thank you for clearing that up. its up for way more interpretation that way, it also nakes it far more disturbing imo.
i would hesitate to attribute it to “raw madness”. it probably had some meaning to goya, it’s a very intentional piece, but even so i’d guess that he wouldn’t have been able to convey what that was even if anyone ever saw the piece
Glad someone else mentioned this, was going to do this myself.
Never even noticed this detail. Good catch

I think "You are on the fastest available route" will forever remain my favorite despite not quite fitting in with the rest because without the supernatural elements it just feels so real. A quick thing on memento mori, it's less interpreted as a pessimistic worldview and more of a reminder to find meaning while you can. The second phrase that often follows "remember you must die" is "remember to live." Lots of the living live in a way closer to the dead, and vice versa.

We have regularly scheduled car-bearing ferries in Seattle, WA. Many folks commute on them daily. It's not that odd

18:50 the 476 megahertz is also the frequency of an unknown transmission that we received from somewhere in outer space. Just some tones but still interesting.
This is incorrect. That transmission was at 1420 mHz.
It's quite fitting that the device the Emperor wanted to use to make a monument for himself ends up becoming more or less his tomb. Call it karma.

@@JaxonRabbitehhh

Hey, i remember hearing the whole "this message will repeat until there are none left to hear it" in this one scp or horror related reading that was exploring some alternate dimension or planet where reality was fragmenting and the remnants of the former civilization was very similar. When the signal was translated it spoke about "Something terrible had happened, suggested to embrace loved ones in final momemts, and message would repeat until none left to hear it"
Edit: found it, it's SCP-3426.
I tried but i dont think i saw it? Like they just looked like distorted face. I didnt see any normal faces in that dream part he showed or anything
@@WhitneyDahlin look at it closely, all of the “faces” are made up of nuclear blasts, mushroom clouds.

This is the most brilliant and in depth analysis of this analog series that I have ever watched. An absolute treat to watch.

Nice to see the guy's kept busy.
really nice breakdown. congrats on the views on this one!
This is one of my favorite args. Awesome 👌 job on putting this one together 👏👏
Great video, Ive been trying to find more youtubers that talk about these topics cause i love the goon gang but it gets boring idk, u did great
I'm far too much of a wuss to watch any of these brilliant series, so ytbers such as yourself or wendigoon or crowmudgeon just come in clutch every time I want to experience the goodness without scaring myself half to death while doing so. Thank you for the great analysis and storytelling!!!
Bro I love the video, probably my favorite Local 58 analysis that I've seen, I have happily subscribed and will be watching more of your stuff, thank you for your work!
An hour and a half video, refers to some of my favourite youtubers right off the bat? High quality videos? Subbed before you blow up man!
what a great video. somehow im in Analog Horror analyitcs as much as im in t analog Horrer it self. Its just facinating on many levels. I'm going to send it to all my colleagues and friends, even though I know they are not interested in such topics at all. Some may ask what's wrong with me or why I'm sending messages with "obscure" links in the middle of the night at 1:30 am. But your great work needs and deserves more viewers, so they'll have to deal with it. "Watch it and spread it!" I'll reply on Monday to them.
- Just in case somone does not already know about it " The real" by " Anomaly" Thats a Cromium Class Analog Horror Masterpice in 3 seasons. As strange and creepy as it can get. my favorite so far. Thank you & sorry 4 butchering the english language. Kind regards from Germany
I did not know that information about the black paintings!! That art of Saturn has always been distressing to me. The amount of detail in the Ivan one as well is striking.
Mt. Greylock and Gemini do Analog Horror so well... I love your commentary style and would be intrigued to see your breakdown!
Good job with this video buddy. I'm excited to know that Local 58 is still being produced. I think I tuned out 3 years ago and figured it was never getting finished.
Great video! Love these kinds of breakdowns. Also that door in the back is just begging for a little ghost to be watcing from it haha.
'Space doordash' cracked me up. Great video!
im literally a minute in and already wowed by the script and sound design!
this is such a well made video! can’t wait to see what else you upload in the future 💪💪💪
I know the video just came out but your channel in general is criminally underrated. You definitely deserve all the subs , me included 🙌🏽
Congrats on the views, man! You did an awesome job on this video, cant wait to see your channel flourish!!!
yep, subrscribing forever, saw the first frame of you and descided, this man is the maan I want to tell scary stories to me
The winter of 83 is another amazing analogue horror that doesn't dissolve into scary stretched faces and disturbing content for the sake of being disturbing. They're hard to find but when you find one they're so damn interesting.
“I currently have this telescope and I read every item description before ever watching a Vaatividya video” ur so qualified fr 😂 I could not do the item descriptions
