I think abandoned buildings and liminal spaces could fit there too. Maybe locations that are *sometimes* occupied but currently deserted could amplify the sense of isolation.
Thank you 😊 for your great storytelling. Listened to your 7 hr video today while I washed my dogs 🐕 and pressure washed the driveway . Took a shower ready to relax for my Friday and there’s a new post by you. Great start to my weekend. Thank you.😊
@@FireStick-nu4pn It'd be cool if there were random events that broke up the loop, like how stuff would sometimes happen on old screensavers. Maybe at random points in the animation a hitchhiker could have shown up, or a guy with a chainsaw or something...
yeah lol, believe it or not, I've bumped into some Christian men's groups who do similar tasks. I saw one group dragging tree branches around and crying. I lol'd.
Middle of nowhere stories are pretty good, but I came across a group of frat hazing stories by Mr. Nightmare recently and that seems like a great subgenra. There was a nice quality of middle-of-nowhereness, but there were other frightening and bizarre qualities that took things to another level...
Just have to say, love your stories already. Ive been listening to spooky tales for years and finally a few that were kinda creepy! And one more thing, thank you for not using ai. It makes the videos SO much more authentic.
Dude out of all the "told in story form" podcasts you are at the top. Please keep doing what you do and I hope a great and prosperous future for your career.
I’m one of the 1% of the population that has a genetic condition that does not allow me to feel fear. Yet, I listen to all your stories. I suppose it is interesting to me to see what frightens normal people. Your narration is excellent. Thanks for all of it.
Urbach-Wiethe disease? Only 400 people have been found since discovered. thats far from 1% of the world population buddy. Thats 400 out of 10,000,000,000
😂😂😂😂 I love your updates/ commentary at the end. The “neee nene nnneeehneeh“ tongue tied 😂 you’re soooo fuckin funny dooood . Love the stories as well!
Story 4 was particularly touching. Lots of kindness from the storyteller toward his charges, lots of respect, and the perfect attitude: healthy skepticism. It's neither wise nor intelligent to dismiss legends out of hand, any more than it is to accept them uncritically. There's always *something* behind the stranger stories, even if it's not what people thought it was. Some "ghost" stories turn out to be caused by natural sources like carbon monoxide. Considering how we keep discovering new species and phenomena, there's every reason to take this seriously. It may not be death pixies or will o' the wisps, but it could be a deadly bioluminescent gas or something crazy like that.
You make a very valid point. This is also why it is so dumb to go out of your way to disprove a legend. Not believing is no excuse to take undue risks - nor to disrespect other people's beliefs. (Although I do feel some sympathy for people in stories who go on a quest to disprove something because others are suffering from their fear of it, and they genuinely want to rid them of their suffering. Even if that still doesn't make it smart.)
Your the best voice for these stories! You, Mr nightmare, chilling scares, (Mr nightmare and chilling scares are the same person btw), and Southern Cannibal are the best horror channels by far! In fact they are the best RUclips channels PERIOD!!!
